I will admit to not knowing what percent of the total money that ... Fox/Falco players make in Melee, so I can't really say whether MK's percentage of money won is out of the ordinary compared to other best characters in their respective fighting games, although it is still a disgustingly high percentage by itself.

I said I DON'T know these things, and all of those were just random examples of fighting games where I at least know who the best characters are (based on current tier lists) without doing a google search. And I even said it was a disgustingly high percentage for MK.

Jaurice, while I respect your opinion, keep in mind that I use both MK and TL equally these days. Also keep in mind that Falco, and especially IC's, are horrible teams characters, and D3, while decent, is also not exactly spectacular in teams.

Next time I play you in singles I won't use MK. I'll probably go Falco or Ike. Maybe even TL if I feel like trying.

Also, I'm definitely sure there are people in the community who are better than both me and you who have already depicted how good mk is.

Mk isnt going to banned because of how good he is. He is far from broken and is completely beatable. He is obviously the best character though. The reason he'll get banned if he does is because of what he does to our community. The influx of metaknights over the years has grown to a stupid number which is why he is making so much money. I'm sure he is also the number one used character overall which isnt surprising.

MK hasnt been completely bad for our community though. He has pushed characters to their limits to overcome him and i'm sure advanced some characters faster then they would have if he had been banned early on. Characters are still developing as well.

In every other fighting game how much more often do you see the best character being used more so than every other character.

Vanilla Sagat, Yun, Law, Brian, Pheonix, Wolverine, Reptile, Kung Lao, Kabal (mk3), V-13, Fox, Falco, Kirby, Pikachu (64)

I can go on for days, those charts mean **** and furthermore all of the characters I listed wins almost all of the mus with a few close to even match ups.

None of you could tell me jack **** off the top of your head if I asked you character specific traits on the character.

The best characters always are used way more then other characters, if someone wants to have the best shot at winning they can outside of their own skill level they pick the best character.

Instead of just yelling at each other why don't you really consider what the other person is saying(what kind of things can MK be punished with on whiff or block? is he THAT safe? vs does the amount of money mk has won vs the next high tiered characters look as though MK dominates tournaments?)

I agree with this 110%. Mk is not even that bad as people make him out to be. Mk has been great as he has forced the rest of the characters to get better. In the past and some of u may remember that I used to get so frustrated and just say I don't care for singles. With all my logic and complaining, Fow was like "yo just get better". And I was like "I see all the options there is nothing that can be done!". (even tho he picked up mk as a secondary for certain matchups :/ )

But then I decided to stop complaining and just try to get better. With that said I have advanced the lucas metagame and developed several knew techniques that help me out in many matchups. This last tourney Clash 1, I barely lost to Nairo in tourney known as one of the top metaknights and took many games of M2k in friendlies(U might say its just friendlies but that is big for me. My lucas couldn't do that in that past! He would just **** me! and that was genesis 2!) . Each tourney I keep growing as I learn new things and apply it to my game. Watch out, the tier list might just change soon!

If u just cry yer never gonna get better. Players with passion to win aren't complaining. My boy ADHD is one of the top players complaining the most about mk, but I watch him and there is things he can do to get better(For example, he ALWAYS goes for risky spikes which is mad easy to read once u learn this habit of his. He takes percent every time. I told him but he kept doing it :/ ). None of us are perfect and can grow. Let mk be and get BETTER.

I mean my last example is of when I played DRN himself. I 3 stocked his Zero suit and he went mk. He beat me game 2 cuz I sds low percent second stock. and he won game 3. All this time Lie was was trying to get in my head in distract. Am I gonna blame it on him going mk or lie no! I'm gonna learn from what I did. Next time I will bring an ipod if their is a distraction. Also, I just learned this and think its pretty cool. When I die or get a kill I wipe the sweat of my controller. My controller gets slippery alot and cuzes slipups sometimes like that sd but this has helped stopped that. I implemented that tech at clash 1.

When u make excuses u don't allow yerself to grow and get better. Life lesson from Mekos. Excuses are signs for the weak.

You.....have no idea what ur talking about. If u think mk is thaaat good you should MM me with your mk. I'll give u a list of 10 characters u can choose from and i'll play any of them. If mk is really as good as u think then im sure it'll be free money.

@PP- Its obvious MK dominates our scene but its usually the same mks doing it. In the past year there have been only 30 diff mks that have made money with him in tourneys with 45+ people. These mks are not people who solo'd mk either. Its if they just had it next to their name. I mean heck i'm on this list along with BigLou, Kadaj, and Kismet lol. I can promise you i'm not a top 30 mk lol. My mk isnt bad but its not at a high level yet.

@_@ you have several things wrong with your statement. He has 3 even MUs, or at least 1 even MU (Pika) and 2 almost even MUs (Diddy/Falco). Every counterpick is NOT in his favor, are you ****ting me? I would LOVE if MKs took my ICs to FD, or my Pika to PS1. They are CLEARLY not in his advantage, so saying anything else is just you not being able to get yourself to the level that you can beat MKs (Which happens to all of us, I'm not ****-talking you for it).

He does NOT outprioritize everything. Transcendent hitboxes cannot be stopped, BUT THEY CANNOT STOP ANYTHING! It's kind of a trade, and it does NOT give him ultimate priority. Hell, Tornado doesn't have ultimate priority, it is just a disjointed hitbox on the bottom and sides, with a HUGE opening at the top.

Please research a little before you make vast claims that simply aren't true.


*Gasp* YOU SHOWED VIDEOS OF THE BEST METAKNIGHT WINNING!!! @_@ M2K vs Gnes was the only real problem of those 3, but that was, y'know, on a neutral. Him vs Brood was clearly his VASTLY superior stage knowledge, as well as a character that can run away, which conflicts with how the Japanese play (They all approach a lot). M2K vs Ally was Ally being bad and not being able to break tornado, which is really easy, ESPECIALLY as Snake.
