REALLY glad you two aren't in charge of any rosters.

I was mildly offended at this at first, but then I realized how true of a statement it is. Honestly, 99% of the Smash fanbase is probably happy, because I'm not in charge of the roster.

Though to be fair, I would never really cut Mewtwo or Charizard.

Though I would put in Wolf and Bill Grey (instead of Krystal). Oh, and Reyn would be in there too. He needs to have his time! Inkling would be DLC by now, as well.

In my opinion Smash 5 could be a reboot game without Sakurai, or well Sakurai with less influence on the game, like an adviser.

Could be more like an arcade style-game.

Could be similar to KOF XIII, MvC3 after MvC2, and Mortal Kombat 9 after Armaggedon; with more elaborated and designed characters with a smaller number, especially with "filling characters", could be very difficult to develop a huge number of characters, similar to the present, in terms of memory and costs, I think that increasingly is coming to increasingly more difficult to reach top.

It would be nice in a way that will maintain the current game in force while is promoted Smash 5 as an alternative to Smash 4, not being a substitute as has happened before.

Why would they cut but keep on the roster? Doesn't make sense to me honestly. Same goes for and Ryu if Capcom comes to an agreement with Nintendo again.

Even if they make another game without Sakurai, they won't remove HALF OF THE ****ING ROSTER. Smash is not Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat or Tekken or Soul Calibur or another random fighting game here. Its Smash. So many people would be pissed off and not buy the new Smash if this happened.

Same here, my roster would be so boring. It takes someone much greater than me to think up Wii Fit Trainer or Duck Hunt, R.O.B and Game and Watch, Olimar, Pit etc etc

If it has lyrics, I prefer not to listen to it. Songs with lyrics are going down the drain, so I try to ignore them. There are exceptions however.

By All means if you have any SFZ or Smash Related News or Information you wish to discuss or share please do instead complaining that no-one is talking about it. There are going to be periods in between where sometimes nothing happens. Deal with it.

Looking at Previous years they had a proper Direct in Aug 2013, and in Aug 2014 Game related directs so it probably will be a Smash mini-update like the E3 one, not to mention without Iwata or a new president if the new president or Nintendo generally speaking decides to keep doing Directs it most likely will be similar to the Smash E3 thing.

All the factors that gives credibility to Wolf being a very likely return still exist, Nintendo will always do whatever it thinks will be best in terms of marketing and hype. It makes more sense to reveal Wolf closer around SFZ/Smash Ballot since they don't want to crowd the DLC all in one go as we did get 3 characters in June.

The last bit of Wolf content I have on my computer. A childish fantasy Star Fox x Xenoblade crossover I made. This will literally never happen, but I can dream. Looks like I'll need to make more gifs. Anyways, what do you guys think? What kind of SF crossovers would you guys want?

To be fair Mewtwo was a test. Mostly to see if demand was there and to get the infrastructure and distribution set up. If it succeeded (which it did) then it was easy to continue the rollout since everything was in place. If it didn't it could easily have been passed of as a one time promotion and that would have been the end of it. When I compared Wolf to Mewtwo, I imagine they both were planned however just didn't make the development timeframe for various reasons.

There is definitely a point at which to worry, which is when Smash Ballot is finished and SFZ is looming/has released. At that point I'll be the first to jump on the Worry Nuclear Powered Train. Until there, there is very little reason to worry but instead be quite confident.
