If so,I feel likeis the most obvious choice,but that's just me.

I'm split on Dark Pit, he'd be really easy to bring back and maybe even declone a little but I'm not sure he'll be relevant enough by the time smash 5 comes around. This goes for Lucina too

One timers would be those added because their game released closely to Smash. I'd say Greninja and Lucina (and Shulk?).

For Greninja, I've heard that he's planned before Pokémon XY. So either he'll be the Rosalina of the pokémon series, or be replaced by someone more relevant in the later series.

For Lucina, meh. One rep for Awakening (Robin) it's enough. I'd say even Robin have a risk of getting cut but idk. If FE reps keep expanding like this it's not gonna end well.

There's a difference. With Pokemon its all about relevancy/popularity. Pikachu is of course the mascot. Jigglypuff had reoccurring appearances in the anime, was very popular in Japan, and is part of the original 12. Charizard is literally like the most popular Pokemon and has reoccurring appearances in the anime. Mewtwo has 2 mega evolutions, multiple movies, and is one of the most popular Pokemon. Lucario has a part in the story of mega evolution, has a mega evolution, and has a movie. Greninja doesn't really have anything besides the fact that he's popular and a veteran. The other series don't really have to go through this because there aren't over 700 options to pick from.

My Guess on Smash 5 cuts:
Lucina and/or Roy (Will probably be replaced by a FE: Fates or another FE character)
Dr. Mario (He was lucky to get back in in the first place)
Greninja (Replaced by a Gen 7 Pokemon, confirmed to come out in 2017)
Ryu (I'm confident he isn't coming back if Snake was any indication)
Duck Hunt (Maybe): I really hope they find room for him, but a lot of people don't like him that much, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Dark Pit is safe, because Sakubias.
I think Shulk will be safe, too. He's way too popular to get cut. They'll probably add in Cross from X too.

Charging forward smash for more distance is something I'd be down with.

Instead of getting weaker, I'd just make it so that the knock back stays the same regardless of any charge instead of getting stronger like all the other smash attacks do when you charge them.

Going past shields instead of stopping at them is legit though. Or just make it do some heavy shield damage, that could work too.

In Lucina's case, very unlikely. They'll probably rather focus on the most recent FE lord.

In DP's case, debatable. Of course he has moveset potential and Sakurai bias, but since most people didn't like him even as a last-minute clone, why would they like him if he actually takes development time that could be used to work on other characters? Personally I prefer the air him as clone over being an unique character, at least that way he doesn't take much development time.

I think that both DP and Lucina and maybe Dr. Mario too should be demoted to alts, as they were originally intended to be.

Duck Hunt had a trophy in Melee, therefore that is a cameo in a previous entry. Besides, who the heck said anything about surprise additions being unlikely return because of a lack of mention in previous installments?

Wii Fit Trainer won't be cut simply because she is a surprise character. People will speculate that she will be cut, though.

And since we're on the topic of who's gonna comeback or get cut from Smash 5, I say every Sm4sh newcomer should make a return, including Dark Pit and Lucina (especially her) still as separate characters...I'm not being biased.

I just play For Glory for fun although it's whole lot better to play with friends.

And I was just messing around with the buff Rosalina thing. She's already perfect.

Duck Hunt won't be cut. He's the surprise retro rep for this game, like Mr. Game & Watch and ROB. They haven't been cut. He won't be cut either.
Lucina I could see staying. Unlike Roy, she has actual Fire Emblem popularity as well as a Smash fanbase. Isn't she in SMTxFE as well? If she remains relevant I could see her being decloned.
On the subject of Roy, I think he, Dr. Mario, and Mewtwo should be safe. Bringing back a character after they missed a game, only to cut them again for the next would feel like a huge slap in the face and really piss off a lot of people. I suppose Dr. Mario could be made into an alt, but his moveset is so much better than Mario's current moveset, and he's had his own slot now for two games. Why change it now?

And the third parties I think are all safe, this time around. Unlike Snake, Pac-Man and Ryu are some of THE MOST well known video game icons of all time. Mega Man was very highly requested and basically feels like a Nintendo character at this point.
Barring unforeseen falling-out between Namco/Capcom/SEGA and Nintendo, I think they'll make it back.

Other than those too, the only ones I'm unsure of are Dark Pit, who could be replaced by a new KI character, and Doctor Mario. Rosalina and Bowser Jr will keep showing up, R.O.B and Game and watch didn't get the boot so why would Duck hunt or Wii Fit Trainer. Animal Crossing is still going pretty strong so he's staying, Shulk is the Marth of Xenoblade, we'll probably get him in addition to a new rep. Palutena is most definitely a lock, as is little mac. In terms of third parties, I think Pac-Man will definitely stay, he's an icon. Mega Man and Ryu are odd ones though, I could see Ryu ending up like snake, a one time thing, but at the same time I feel like it's both or neither.

Regardless though, anyone that's cut will probably end up as DLC later down the line so what does it really matter

And the third parties I think are all safe, this time around. Unlike Snake, Pac-Man and Ryu are some of THE MOST well known video game icons of all time. Mega Man was very highly requested and basically feels like a Nintendo character at this point.
Barring unforeseen falling-out between Namco/Capcom/SEGA and Nintendo, I think they'll make it back.

I'd disagree on Doc being better than Mario. His recovery and speed are lacking compared to Mario and Doc just isn't up to snuff when compared to good characters like Rosalina and Sheik.
