Hey everyone. This is Inferno's brother here. THE TOURNEY IS CANCELED BECAUSE THE VENUE CLAIMS TO STILL NOT HAVE HEAT IN THE ROOM AND SAID THEY WONT LET US RENT IT EVEN THOUGH WE COULD DEAL WITHOUT HEAT. pLEASE DONT COME NO ONE WILL BE HERE. SORRY TO EVERYONE WHO WAS PLANNING TO COME. THIS WILL PROBABLY COME BACK IN APRIL.
Venue Info:
The church I planned to use is now back and ready to use. It is much bigger then the other venue we used. It isnt as much for the venue so the venue fee will be back to $5. There aren't many food places around here. Because of this, we will be selling food so that you don't have to leave to go eat and end up slowing down the tournament.

Bus: From New York, go to Port Authority on 41st and 8th. Take the 167 bus. You will want to get off on the intersection of Teaneck Rd. and Church St. You will see a church at this intersection. THIS IS NOT THE VENUE! Instead, walk up Church St. one block and at the next intersection you will see another church. This one is the venue.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
EVERYONE MUST READ THESE!
Keep profanity to a minimum. This is a church and it's rude to swear in a house of worship.
Don't leave the venue to get food if you are still in the tourney. We plan to sell food there so you don't miss your match.
NO REFUNDS! Once you pay, that's it!
B.Y.O.C. = BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER! We will not provide a controller for you.
We (the church and myself) are NOT responsible for anything stolen or any items left behind. If you bring a Wii for us to use, keep an eye on it. When you bring your controller, keep it at your side at all costs. We can not and will not be your eyes and ears, you must be responsible for your own stuff.
NOBODY is allowed to touch the computer because its mine. (lol) Unless told otherwise.
Any violation will result in being removed from the venue with no refund.

Best 2 of 3. Finals Matches (losers/winners/grand) being best 3 of 5
Double Elimination
50 Ledge grab rule (if you time out each other in a match and you go over 50 ledge grabs you lose that match.)
Items are set to OFF and NONE
Doubles:
• Team attack ON
• Life stealing is allowed
Set format (In Order of Procedure):
Opponents choose their characters for the first match *
Opponents start the stage striking procedure
Each player may announce one stage to be banned for counterpicks of the set
The first game is played, using the stage chosen during step 2
The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage from either the Starter Stage List or the Counter Stage List
The winner of the previous match chooses their character
The loser of the previous match chooses their character
Repeat steps 5-7 for all proceeding matches
*Double blind character selection may be called for the first match
Neutral Stages: Each player can alternately strike a stage until one stage is left. That stage is then played.

2 Minutes Late: Warning/Loss of first stock
4 Minutes Late: Loss of first match of set
6 Minutes Late: Loss of set
Stage Banning: Each player / team may select a stage that will be banned from the tournament set.
Counterpick Rule: The loser of the match first chooses the stage that the next match of the set will be played on. The opponent, then, makes the choice of changing character or not. than the loser of the match selects his/her character.
If the loser of the match chooses to select the stage at random. The opponent CANNOT change character. The loser of the match than makes the choice of changing character or not.
• Dave's Stupid Rule: You can't CP a stage you won on.
• Excessive stalling tactics are banned.
• Controller Mods are banned
• Dedede's standing/walking infinite is banned. Dedede must do a dash before another grab. Wall infinites however are legal.
• Metaknight's Infinite Cape Glitch is banned
• If a suicide ends the match, the Sudden Death is ignored and the person who executed the move wins.
• Scrooging rule: If you recover by going under the stage with any character (MK, Pit, etc.) you must immediately get back on stage.
Violation of any rule is punishable by non-refunded disqualification or loss of the match.
In the event of that nobody is defeated at the end of the time limit, the player with the most stocks wins. If both players have the same stock then it is decided by percentage. If both players have THE SAME STOCK and SAME PERCENTAGE the players will quit the SUDDEN DEATH, set the stock to one, and start a match with the same stage for 3 minutes. This will determine the winner.
Each Round is best of three matches; Grand/Losers/Winners Finals are best of five matches*

Ok this is where I need your help. We need setups ASAP. We are really relying on you to bring items. Come as early as possible and set up so the tournament can start quicker. If you're going to be a few minutes late but you want to sign up, contact someone for them to tell us.
