I predict that when Black Ops comes out, there will be more people playing MW2 more than BO.

I'm calling it as of now. You just see.

If I ever have to pay to play a CoD game online, then I'm not renewing my XBL gold subscription. I'm going to stop buying CoD games after/when/if MW3 is ever released.

I've decided I'm more or less done with CoD. More or less playing because you guys play, along with a few other friends. Once that other game (staying on topic) comes out, I doubt I'll pick up CoD again, so it's gonna get traded towards it.

Now, onto a CoD related note; is there some sorta trick to 'flashy sniping'. ie, quickscope, no scope, 360 blah blah?

I've heard that the trick is pure luck. For example, my friend made me do a quickscope/noscope match on TDM for him and I ended up quickscoping a guy on Highrise who was on the helicopter pad all the way from inside the building. Normally, I'd never be able to do that and when I did, it was just pure luck.

LOL, 95% of quickscopers are some of the most ********, elitist, and general *******es I've ever seen.

Playing search, I hardscoped someone for a game winning killcam, and apparently, his team decided that I suck, because my kill wasn't "Legit", and one of them challenged me to a 1v1. Without host, I beasted on him 24-2, before he ragequit.

I suck because I don't quickscope in Public Matches. I ****ing hate that ******** mentality.

Anyhoo, back to my quest for SitRep Pro.

I wouldn't say I was trying to sound elitist. I know where my shortcomings are, and I suck in general at this game. Of course I'd suck at quickscoping too.

Quickscoping is just like any other technique - practice makes perfect. It sorta becomes second nature about where you'll hit if you do it enough.

Now, a question. My somewhat untrustworthy and scheming friend told me once that there are modded controllers for just about everything, including aimbots and other unfair stuff. Is this true?

I'd take it with a grain of salt. Never doubt the desire to cheat coming from a cheater. Ie; if they wanna find a way to cheat, they'll do it. Not sure about aimbots, but I'm sure they'll find ways to 'be better'.

He asked, so I was just telling him. Silent Mods produces a controller with that feature.

True, P2P after buying the game and paying for live is a bit much.

If you have to pay for the game, then yes, MW2 will have more players. But by no means at all will MW2 have as many players as Black Ops if you don't have to pay, which I don't think you will. MW2 has left a very sour taste in the mouths of many, including myself. I will defend it, however, because many people say it's bad because it's unbalanced. Well, in all honesty, you're really wrong on that one. This game is by no means unbalanced. People do not take the time to realize that it's not the game that's bad, but instead it's the actual players that make it bad. If you're often being killed by a "cheap" method, for example OMA noob tubers, you tend to automatically think or go along with those who say it is an overpowered attachment. It's the people that abuse it that are creating the image that this is a bad game. There's nothing wrong with the game, but just how some people choose to play it. But like I said a while back, you choose how you play and that's what creators aim for, so you have to live with it. There is never going to be a game that will suit everyone.

Now, on the topic of no scoping, it's 100% luck. No, pressing Y Y then shooting does not make it more accurate. No, turning the screen really quickly after you shoot does not make it more accurate. It's all luck. I've gotten flamed for saying that so many times, but there's no way to change the bullets path once it has already left the gun. Just because you hit Y Y before a shot and got a long range no scope does not mean it works. Even having your crosshairs perfectly set on someone is luck. The bullet doesn't always go straight, so you have no control over whether or not you hit the shot. Don't listen to people who say there's a trick, they have no idea what they're talking about.

As for quick scoping, it's really just practice, as said earlier. Some people disagree with me, but quick scoping and drag scoping are the same thing. Just because you have to drag your scope over the enemy therefore moving it, doesn't mean that it's not a quick scope. Anytime you shoot someone with your sights up for less than a second, it's a quick scope. Practice in a private lobby with a bunch of friends and set health to minimal. It's fun and you get the just of it after playing for a while. In public matches, you tend to just get hit markers and then eat bullets shortly afterwards. That's all practice.

Sorry we couldn't invite you, ODIN. :( We had a full party of people that were doing stuff like that, and I know you hate quickscoping and whatnot.

Well, my 360 is fried and it can't read any of my discs. It started with the disc unreadable message, but it has escalated to the final stage it seems. I can only play games that I have downloaded to my hard drive, but that's not going to do. Good thing I have graduation money, so I guess I'll be picking up a new one tomorrow. Hello Xbox 360 slim (and best buy warranty for sure).

By the way, anyone who has not seen the movie Inception, go see it. Maybe the best movie I've ever seen.
I saw it, I thought it was pretty cool. And I'll be leaving to Florida tomorrow to vacation, and might go to Universal with  :D

Who on earth said I hated it? Hating, and simply not being able to do it are two different things my friend. I'd certainly want to be able to do cool shenanigans. :)

I want to see that. Good to know it's good.

And my heart goes out to you and your system. Though if you can, hold off on the slim. I've heard there are problems with it, so maybe hold off for round 2 of the new editions. But I understand the need for a new box. @_@ I got an arcade when my system failed. It failed hard too... but I'm also cheap and married. >.> So money is not an easy thing to come by.

READ DRESDEN FILES. Book #2 is "Fool Moon". In case you need to find it. ;)

Just letting you guys know that this is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 thread, not the Xbox 360 one. I moved/merged all your previous posts to that thread.

I went 30-0 or 30-1 about a million times in FFA last night. It's so easy to secure down positions in maps, and when there's nobody nuke boosting, it's actually fun because I don't have moron teammates to hold me down. Such a fun game type, unfortunate that it's the easiest to boost on.

UMP, scavenger, cold blooded, and ninja. I've been using this setup more and more lately, and it's truly the most amazing setup I've ever used. I still like having marathon on SMGs, but I figure that having three times the regular amount of ammo and being able to replenish it is more valuable than sprint. Cold blooded makes this setup even better. Don't have to worry about annoying UAVs or air support. When the opposing team has UAV and you have cold blooded, it's almost a treat for you. They completely neglect the fact that you could be anywhere on the map, and just stop paying attention to anything but the red dots. I'm lovin this.

What do you use for secondary? Stinger or something else?

I always use akimbo rangers with my UMP class. They have bad range, but that's kind of the point. The UMP takes care of anything close, medium, and long range, but seeing as it takes 3 shots to kill with cold blooded, you end up getting stabbed a fair amount. The rangers come in handy often, seeing as they take little damage reduction without SP. Their range isn't terrible, it's just bad.

Rangers don't need stopping power. But anything past a couple of feet will need at least 2+ shots.
Yeah, pretty much. You might as well just shoot both barrels unless you're at super close range. One shot usually does the trick, giving you 4 easy close range kills in a place like skidrow. These guns are really underused just because people think the range is bad. They're killing machines with marathon and lightweight.

They really shine in HardCore. If I remember correctly, I think the rangers do more damage per pellet than any other shotgun. Think it was on the CoD wiki.

But their power is obviously offset by the number of rounds in the chamber.

Oh? Rangers with EXTENDED MAGS?! Oh, wait...

They do 75 damage per pellet up close, but the range drop off is ridiculously tiny. For comparison, next closest damage in the shotguns are the M1014 and the SPAS, which each do 40 damage per pellet. Keep in mind though that the Ranger is one of the 3 SGs which only has 6 pellets per shot instead of 8 (other two being the Striker and Masterkey).
