Wow I had no idea there was so much split on which MM games are the best.

For me, I've always loved 2-4, with 3 prob imo the best and 4 being my favorite because nostalgia. I enjoyed 5 and 6, but I generally (going against the grain) hated the music from both of them (when compared to 2-4 at least).
I pretty much can't stand 7 or 8, because I just hate the art-style and don't love the gameplay of either. 9 and 10 are good, but they never felt like "true" megaman games to me... it felt like a B-team trying to directly copy MM2, and they're both great, but not enough to place in the top 5 for me.

I also love the X series, but I've always completely disconnected those series' in my mind.

So, you guys have a favorite Wily fight? I'm not sure if I have one. Maybe the Mega Man 3 Wily fight.
The Wily battles from MM9 & 10 are freshest in my mind. They each can be a challenge if you don't learn the patterns quickly, particularly 9. 10 had awesome battle themes, though. Also, low-G battle.

So I actually just played a good mega man in for glory. I was shocked (first good one I've seen).

He went by the name aznninja96 I believe. He and I had half a dozen really good dittos and went back and forth. I don't know that he's around here, but I'm guessing he is. I saved all the replays of those... I'll post them in the next few days as an example of the megaman spacing game

Everybody should play this guy. He's super legit.

When you first picked mega after the first match, I thought "ah here we go... Another salty wannabe" (see one of my previous posts) but quickly realized, well hey, this will be fun.
I actually didn't know dthrow combos into turnaround bair before our match so thanks for that. (I tried rush cancel and air dodge... It's legit in early %s unless I was just missing a VI)

I grabbed every replay of our matches... Thought it'd be useful if the board ever wants to make a joint showoff video, as we both had some really nice moments. You mind if I record those off with my cell and upload in mediocre quality? I honestly think it'd be helpful to new mm players.

Also a teaser for the board: back to back dair dunks within like 20 seconds.

I'll add your 3ds code. Mine is on my profile.

Yeah, go ahead and post it, it was a fun match lol. When I first went against your Mega I was just screwing around with new characters and when you pulled out that Megaman I didn't expect it to be a good one either. Your Bairs were on point and I thought Leaf shield had no use unti now lol. I didn't know that you couldn't rush cancel out of that, pretty nice to know that now. Hopefully can play you again, ggs

So, due to some extremely weird real life shenanigans that I'm not going to go into at this point in time, I don't actually have access to my own 3DS. I'm using a friend's, so I can't throw out friend codes, but in future, I'd actually like to play against the two of you - assuming you don't mind thrashing a scrub who only sporadically gets to play in For Glory due to aforementioned shenanigans. I'm well aware that getting my metal butt kicked is the best way to learn - 's how I got to Gold in League and became a decent competitive Medic in TF2.

That basically goes for everybody here, by the way - if anybody wants to beat up on a newbie once I get my own 3DS back, let me know. Until then, the actual question I have is: how do you actually save your own replays? Am I missing something obvious?

Fought against a decent Yoshi in For Glory.

Used Air Shooter to knock them into the air, and used Rush Coil to pursue (for some reason). We both made it to the top of the screen when we both fired off the Ground Pound/Air Shooter, the end result was that we both ended up killing ourselves in a double KO.

Air Shooter is possibly the single most hilariously entertaining move in the game.

I hope you aren't BLOWN away by how good Air Shooter is.

It'd really SUCK if you died at 60% from Air Shooter.

But when you're good at using Air Shooter, taking stocks becomes a BREEZE.

Personally, I'm a big FAN of Air Shooter.

I can't help but be CARRIED AWAY by Air Shooter.

Can somebody make a thread dedicated to Crash Bombs, similar to Chopper Dave's Leaf Shield Thread?
Crash Man's bla bla bla, something.

I'd do it if I had more time, which I don't have atm.
I'll be happy to contribute, though.

Here's the first 3 matches between me and @ AerialNinja AerialNinja . I have 2 or 3 more that I'll upload later, and I'll post them all in the vid thread once I get them up. Match 2 has probably my favorite 10 second period in the entire set. Obviously, this was on For Glory. there wasn't much lag, but please be kind to any missed inputs/SDs...

Match 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJTxplZqWx8
Match 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8s9lFemZCA
Match 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKFGomkFhtY
That just looks amazing! I'll gladly add you both to have some dittos sometimes, if thats ok with you? Will add my friend code to my profile after I post this.

If I get time I can start one later this week. No promises though; I've had a lot going on recently.

Oh also... I still have like 20 replays to record and upload, including my other matches with Ninja. I'll try to get those up bit by bit..

I've been stringing some ridiculous stuff together lately. Anybody want to volunteer to make a board-wide combo video to make more mega man mains?

Dforto look at this thread, since I had time to kill. I'm not sure if CB really needs its own thread.
I wrote up a quick thing here: http://smashboards.com/threads/wood-mans-treehouse-a-leaf-shield-guide.374719/page-2#post-17883743

Edited to include a couple more things, but I think a section in the moveset guide should be sufficient.
IDK... while it has less guaranteed uses, there are a lot of uses for CB, both for when its on us and on the opponent.

Oh, for sure. I love CB to death. Knowing your options is important with this move and, like I said, being creative. I just think combos like the one I found aren't really going to be of much use, because CB's force nonconventional situations.

So it turns out I am very bad at the ditto and it cost me my tournament life today.

Mega Men, play me. I want to know the ditto inside and out, as well as how to play against him with my other characters. I never want to be eliminated by another MegaMan player again; it brings shame upon my house.

Ya, I saw your post in the LS Guide.
However, we still need to make a thread about it and collect useful techs in the OP as well as name them.
(Naming them makes a lot of things easier, even if the names are impulsive)
@ fromundaman fromundaman , ye, please go ahead and create the thread.

@ Locke 06 Locke 06 , be sure to copy and paste your stuff in that thread later on.

Brainstorming CB will w/o doubt lead to new discoveries/mindgames and open up our eyes further fot it.

If we can make individual threads for custom moves, I'd love to make one for the danger wrap. I love that move...it makes aproaching us that much harder
There's a thread for the Bomb Custom Move, so go ahead.

I broke my circle pad today. I can't do a behind the back metal blade throw anymore, and sometimes, I can't move to the left. Anyone know if there is anyway to fix a control pad thats only loose on one direction. (Left, in this case)
