July I forgot about Adumb. The reason I have him as slight town is because I see him legitimately scumhunting and pressuring his scum reads. That said, I also think that's he's pressured tow townies, myself and Kantrip. I know that that's not really scummy in itself since it's really only evidence that he's wrong, but that's enough to send up some red flags to me. A "good" player not only being what I consider to be wrong, but also missing what I would consider to be more obvious scumreads , like JTB. All and all, I see townie intent, but the red flags keep me from placing his as a solid town read.

Would a JTB town flip affect your read on Adum then? And do you think that pressuring Kantrip was scummy in itself, or the way in which he pressured Kantrip was scummy?

Ok. I just re-read JTB. He hasn't posted much, and what he has posted has been shallow. He hasn't pushed much. He doesn't have strong stances. But dude, if JTB is not town, I will eat the hat I am wearing.
Disregard the fact that the last time I said something like this turned out terribly.

If JTB flips scum, I will be willing to believe that Sword is town.

@everyone: does Sword vs JTB look TvT, TvS, or SvS to you?
for those unfamiliar, t = town, s = scum

I agree that a if JTB flips scum, Swords is town.

I think that TvS is the most likely scenario, followed by TvT. If JTB is the lynch toDay and flips town, Swords would be one of the people I look into toMorrow along with RR, as well as seeing where John and Ryker stand on things.

None of that was a gamble. It was a calculated maneuver that put absolutely nothing at risk. People continue looking like morons and throwing the word gambit around without understanding it.

Well I've misread him twice now, thinking he was scum when he was actually confused town. He changed his playstyle for the second game which threw me off, so I don't actually feel too confident reading his play.

Wow, I just majorly derped. I'm going to have to take back what I said about not including Adumb due to missing JTB.

Thing is, for me to not put Adumb as a full out town read for the reason of him missing a JTB read is to suggest that Adumb is scummy for that reason. However, if Adumb was actually scummates with JTB, there is no way that he would of just totally ignored him up until this point. At least, it's highly unlikely.

With that in mind . . .

@July: Slightly, in a positive manner. I think it would look good on Adumb's part that he was ignoring the main wagon to go after his own picks. Thing is, I don't think a scum Adumb would of just totally ignored a mislynch and the biggest discussion toDay. Which pretty much leaves a town Adumb, who would probably be more concerned with going after his own picks.

What keeps Adumb only as a lean is the fact that I think he's been visiting all of the wrong places (obviously since I know I'm town I know that he's at least wrong about me). Disregarding the whole "he missed JTB" (for the reasons stated above), there's not really any of his scum reads that I can agree with of his besides RR.

Now I'm realizing how dumb that sounds and am rethinking it entirely. Intent trumps the given effect, after all.

Sorry guys, but I'll take responsibility for changing my mind on this one. After being pressed about it I realized that I really didn't think it through properly. It's generic of me to be cautious of someone just because I disagree with their reads, especially if the effort that they went through to obtain those reads are plainly laid out and believable.
