It's okay dude..... This is what the Hacking Support thread is for. :)

First, find where your SD Card is on your computer. You have a SD Card reader, right? When it's plugged up, it will appear on the my computer screen and be labeled as "Removable Disk". Well, for me, at least.
Click on apps/gos-hbc-dol/pc/codemgr. It should open up a window. From there, click on file/open TXT file/rsbe. rsbe is SSBB's ID.
Choose the codes you want on by clicking on the boxes. Make sure not to go overboard.....
After choosing your codes, click on Export to GCT. Where it says Drive Letter, change it to your SD Card's name. Then click on export. Then power up Gecko OS. And your'e good!
When he's saying "not to go overboard", he's talking about the 256 line code limit you have. This is because Gecko OS uses the ram on your Wii to operate these codes (which will limit how much codes you can use).

Alright thanks a ton. So when I finish all that I take the SD card out of my computer plug it into the Wii and go to HBC then to Gecko? Or they are put automatically?

And the Masterpieces I would still need to run Brawl and play them through there right? There is no way to put them on my initial Menu?

I have to say though I seriously appreciate everyone's help here you all made my day.

Yeah, once Codemgr has made the .gct file on your sd card, just put it in your Wii, turn it on. Start the homebrew channel, and start up Gecko OS. Once your in the Gecko OS menu, press B (on whatever controller your using) to start it up using the rebooter (the rebooter is used for the unlimited time on the Masterpieces).

To answer your question, you can only play the Masterpieces through Brawl, so you can't put them on your Wii as channels or anything.

Yes, HBC then Gecko OS. And remember to press B on the Gecko OS screen in order to launch the rebooter. Masterpieces won't work without it.

EDIT: I made your day? I need to get to bed. XD

LOL you get my point.

But yeah I'm going to dream about myself playing Starfox 64 for tonight... then wake up and play it. I'll go for Ocarina of Time next.

Then I'll figure out how to put ROMS in there... where to start... so much to do...

.............my mouth is getting watery.

WAD Installer can let you put them as channels, but that's illegal so I won't go into much detail. To tell you the truth, I used it to play VC games before they came out and payed for them when they did come out, like Kirby's Dream Land 3. Like I said, it's illegal so you probably shouldn't do what I said. Not to mention that WADs can brick.

Not to mention that WADs can brick.
That's only if it looks fishy and people don't have the same .wad posted elsewhere. There IS risk of bricking if you install channel .wads (not VC games) but, the risk is still there for VC games.

In my own time of doing it for a few games I already own (Smash 64, F-Zero X, and OOT) I haven't bricked my Wii yet. But, that doesn't mean it can't happen, the risk is still there and that's why I'm being cautious.

Then again, if you have Starfall you aren't completely screwed if you somehow get bricked.

ALC causes desyncs no matter what you do. MAD DOES cause desyncs but, it's not nearly as often as ALC does and DDing ALSO causes desyncs to happen more frequently.

bricked = broken

normally bricked means unrecoverable, but there can be half-bricks and stuff to recover your wii, of course only by hacking

Okay, what exactly does "getting bricked" mean?

And I wouldn't mind that much not having them as channels but maybe if there wasn't much risk I would do that sometime.
The type of brick I'm talking about is a banner brick. One of the channels has a bad banner causing you to not be able to access system menu. With Starfall you can do the Twilight Hack for WAD Uninstaller and delete the bad channel. Another semi-brick is if you have the system menu for the wrong region, in that case to fix it you need to play a game which will update your Wii to the next system menu for your region.
You can't really brick your Wii by using Gecko OS/Ocarina so the worst that can happen to your copy of Brawl is borking your save file which can be fixed if you backed it up.

Ah I see. I'll definately be careful and see what I am doing. Everything is generally fixable though right?
Probably. Unless you get fully bricked but I have no idea how that would happen unless you're using dangerous apps like AnyRegion Changer.

To get combined buttons combine the bytes.

Example 1: A+B Activator | 0180 + 0280 = 0380
Example 2: X+Y Activator | 0480 + 0880 = 0C80
Example 3: L+R Activator | 00A0 + 00C0 = 00E0
Example 4: L+A Activator | 00C0 + 0180 = 01C0
Example 5: R+B Activator | 00A0 + 0280 = 02A0
Final Ex.: L+R+A+B Activator | 00A0 + 00C0 + 0180 + 0280 = 03E0

When I add together A (0180) and B (0280) in a hex calculator I get 0400 not 0380. Am I missing something here?

most of those look wrong actually...i think whoever typed that out messed up. use the 0400.

EDIT: oops i was wrong i think, it says to combine the bytes, not add the numbers. thats different. you combine the bytes of each place value seperate.

in that example, its like this...

first place- 0 and 0 = 0
second place- 1 and 2: 0001 and 0010 = 0011 = 3
third place-8 and 8 = 8 (its like 1000 and 1000 = 1000; remember its not adding, but combining bytes)
fourth place-0 and 0 = 0
answer is 0380.

quick lesson! its pretty simple, if you know how to write hex in binary.
1 = 0001 5 = 0101 9 = 1001 D = 1101
2 = 0010 6 = 0110 A = 1010 E = 1110
3 = 0011 7 = 0111 B = 1011 F = 1111
4 = 0100 8 = 1000 C = 1100 0 = 0000

then you put the two numbers you're combining over each other...and then to get the answer you go down the places, and if either number is a 1, then the answer will have a 1 in that spot. ex: A and C

A = 1010 C = 1100
1010
1100
-----
1110 = E
A and C = E

then you do this for each digit.

i don't think they would program AI past 9, it probably be the same thing as "can i fit 4 cups of water in to this 3 cup container" so i don't think it works

-puts 8 cups into a 3 cup container-

i tested it this and they do go past 9 heres a vid of me playing 3 level 18's

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wtbEgkohdc

for some reason its STILL processing

but level 18's are more like 9's that are super agressive rather than defense and punishment also they never tuant and they do AT's and in this vid toward the end jiggs does a rest with NO sleep time their perfect guard is absolute when they use it and is ALWAYS a shieldgrab they dodge or counter rather than block though which makes some characters WAAY better and others worse I.E. ganon whos moves r slow he tries to counter and gets hit everytime ice climbers get f'd up by this too

also i swear they abuse the hell out of the triple jump glitch :@ lol

i think the level just controls how they react

EDIT: if its not processed by the time schools over for me i'll re-upload it

I'm using the Music Modifier (Wi-fi) code, and I have to say that it works great. Only downside is, that only I can hear it and not my opponent. ._. When other people have done this with me when I didn't have this code, I was able to hear theirs. But is there a different kind of the code to use or something to add to it so my opponents can hear?

Finally this question gets answered..... I'm trying as hard I can to get this, most of it really makes no sense. Combining...... Tell me if I get this right...

3 + 4 = 7
7 + 8 = F
It's pretty easy when there's zeroes. But try this...

0180 + 0880 = ?
My guess is 0980.... Am I right? If not tell me what I'm doing wrong. Sorry if this is so hard to explain. :urg: How about... 0180 + 0480 = 0580?

Am I supposed to use a hex calculator? I did all the above in my head.

Use the "Or" button on Windows calculator, it's to the right of the "*" button in scientific view. Oring is the proper operation.

0180+0880 = 0A00
0180 + 0480 = 0600

Just like in addition with regular numbers, you go from right to left.

0180 +
0880

0 + 0 = 0, 8 + 8 = 16, which carries 1 over, and then 1(carried over) + 1 + 8 = A.

Did he use more than one song?

Also, I think the button activators are wrong. From MKWii hacking, I learned there's actually another button on the GCN controller called "No Button". It is value 80 and seems to be automatically added to all the button values for GCN controller. Wavebird doesn't seem to have this button and neither do other controllers.

now gangstakirby, you are getting a lot of hate from igglyboo about putting value 18 in the cpu level code.

are you sure you did? cause he's seeming very sure that it's impossible...

Yeah he only did one, but other friend of mine said he played a guy who did more than one. But I'm using the button thing. o.O There a better version of this code or something?

don't listen to this guy plz. it's not adding. follow spunit's advice, just use the standard windows calculator, put it in hex mode, and use the 'or' key.

There's only two. The one with the button allows multiple songs. That means they should be able to hear the code you're using. You're using Heinermann's(sp?) right?

If I add a button activator for this code...

Code:
Dark Brawl[Igglyboo]
C2191CB4 00000002
38A00000 90A40008
60000000 00000000
Would it work?

^that would be really crazy if manaphy's spawn chance wasn't like 1/100000 or so

but we have hacks to make that better too

i suggest you post that code request to some of the hackers

im not trying to mess with igglyboo theres a real and obvious difference in the play style of level 16's or A-types and level 9s ill post more proof videos as soon as i get back from vegas ill put like 6 up of different characters doing battles as A-types vs 9's on monday or tuesday
