My last version (0.7) of this is released, unless what I described in the changelog happens.

Hmm, I didn't see these in V0.7. Are they in there?
Code:
Z50 - Misc SFX - Continue
Z51 - Misc SFX - Game Over
Z54 - Misc SFX - New Feature! 01
Z55 - Misc SFX - New Feature! 02
Z56 - Misc SFX - New Feature! 03
Z57 - Misc SFX - New Feature! 04
Z58 - Misc SFX - New Feature! 05
If not, its ok. They aren't important anyway.

Also, I am happy to say that the newer version of this BCSM (brawl custom song maker) GUI V.07 works incredibly well. In fact, the output quality of the Brstms from this GUI is BETTER than Androu1's Master Tool alone for some reason. Like, 5% better. Yes, I am VERY detail oriented, so I found this quite exciting. I'm always looking for the best stuff to use. This is one of them. Also, for those using a Goldwave V5.2 trial version, some video was posted on Youtube with working License ID numbers, and keygens. They actually work :chuckle:

Great work on this, bro. Awesome stuff.

Hey, this is pretty great, but is there any reason the option of setting a custom loop was left out?

Awesome program is awesome, and I thank you kindly for it. However, I am encountering a few problems.

I get the horrible static explosion in a few of the songs I put in, even after decreasing the gain a lot. (Not even sure if it's the volume, because one of the songs was incredibly soft to begin with.) Also, replacing the Town Hall song on Smashville resulted in a lockup about 30 seconds after it playing.

Edit: Perhaps the problem isn't with the added song, but with the song being replaced? So far I've heard static booms from Encounter on Shadow Moses and Princess Peach's Castle on Rainbow Cruise. I'm going through the songs I added right now.

Yo this is awesome, but I followed the exact instructions and the music won't play. What am I doing wrong? I'm going to retry again and make sure I exported both split audio tracks in mono, but this is odd.

After trying a couple times, the program works great. Once you get used to this, it's incredibly easy. For those with static problems, just lower the volume. I had static before and I lowered the volume by 50% and it was gone. If you want the music to be louder, just change the sound to music ratio under the brawl sfx menu under options. I don't know if this "tip" works, but if you play back the music, you'll see blue bars movin up and down according to the sound output. I made sure it never reached the max by lowering the vol 50% - and no more static. Try it if you get static.

edit: wow a v.07, i gotta keep up haha

Check the SD card and make sure it's on there, in the right directory, which should be:

[SD Card's drive letter]:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\sound\strm

Especially if you told the program to automatically put it in the SD card. That always screws up for me so I just do it manually.

It's in that folder, but I haven't tried the manual method. Do you do that by sending it to a different directory then moving it to the SD folder?

Very nice program. Thanks a lot!

Tried it out and it works fine.

If you first used codes to switch around which music is played on which stage, you have to reset the music in My Music, otherwise the wrong songs are replaced. (Pretty obvious, but maybe someone has problems because of this...)

My SD and GCT seem fine. If you want to know, I just use the EX Brawl codeset, and I added back the original music files from UTD Zac's program before messing with this code.

Does that codeset use the new File Patch Code 3.2a? That could be a problem. It needs this code to work.

I suggest just making a GCT with this code and see if it works. If it does, your current GCT is missing this.

Interesting, I don't have that. I'll try it out, thanks.

Edit: It works! Thanks. Mind linking me to a topic with this new EX Brawl patch?

So, this has worked perfectly for me except for one problem...

But on Spear Pillar, over the Diamond/Pearl Wild Pokemon music, it came in and was the bad, scratchy quality that people have described in this thread. But it didn't even finish playing.

I took a video of it, you can see it here.

I'll try to fool around with the song a little more, but this doesn't make any sense to me.
I re-converted the file and all and this problem is still cropping up.

Even worse, I was playing on Norfair where I have changed Marionation Gear to Magmoor Caverns. When that was getting ready to loop, the same sort of quality change happened, but this time it was Pursuit ~ Cornered, which I put on Melee Final Destination on Final Destination. Then partway through that, Ghost Love Score, which I placed on Pirate Ship replacing the song Tal Tal Heights, cut in from its beginning but sounded normal. Then shortly after it began it went back to the beginning of Magmoor Caverns.

I have no clue what the hell is going on. O_o If anyone can help me here, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you want the music to be louder, just change the sound to music ratio under the brawl sfx menu under options.
Tried this. All I ended up with was everything becoming as quiet as the custom music, and I had to turn the volume on my TV way up. And when it went to the music that's actually in the game, guess what happened? ><

What is this I don't even...

The only thing I can come up with is that it's reading both the brawl disc and SD card at too fast of a rate to keep up... and it read from the Brawl disc first, and when that song was done, it already loaded a lot of stuff, so it had memory to load the music from the SD...for the glitchiness part of the song I don't even know.

Argh I need Phantom Wings in this thread to explain it

Just a request to BionicSonic, is it possible for you to add the step from Androus program that lets you set the starting point of the loop? As in, after the length of the song is reached it goes to X amount of samples for looping purposes.

Also, my friends all appreciate your work into this program, and you've made my life easier with something I can refer people to.

I actually had the same problem on Spear Pillar. When one of my songs(Giratina Battle) was supposed to loop it switched to a song I have on Final Destination.

10lookearlierinthread

Just finished putting my first non-Nintendo song into Brawl thanks to this program! Excellent job! :D

There's one thing about all of this though I'm still seeking and would like to know more about. I did lots and lots of searching regarding looping, and it seems more or less everyone is talking about generally editing a song so it sounds seamless when it reaches the end of the track and goes back to the beginning. That's fine and all for some songs....

...But what about specified loop points?

As good as all of this already is, does anybody know if it's possible to specify exactly where in the song you want the game to loop? You know....so it behaves like nearly every other song in the game?

If anybody's even remotely knowledgeable with the subject or knows of a site or tutorial that figured out how to make a song file loop at a specific point - even after turned into a .brstm, I would be really grateful!

Personally I was hoping that by using both Audacity and Goldwave to locate the specific points of my .wav file and eventually adding cue points to it, the converted .brstm file would recognize the points and act accordingly. I guess though it's way more complex than that. Silly me, but I tried. I read of some more complex methods regarding looping, but I'm kind of at a loss regarding those....
Anomilus, Androu1's Tool requires you to fill out the looping points of the song (start and end) I do not know if this program does this, but if it doesn't, that's why. Please use Androu1's Tool to make it loop properly if this does not do it yet.
Well...the way I designed the program was to start at the very beginning of the song, and the end of the song is specified by you so that it automatically loops back to start. Androu's tools have a start tool specification...I didn't think it was needed though since, with Audacity, you can highlight and delete certain parts of the song and then put it through my program. (Or at least, that's what I was doing)
Well...

1) You're kinda overlooking that I created this tool just to replace songs in Brawl, not much else...the reason why I don't add stuff like sound effects or victory themes is because I got lazy on that part =\

2) This isn't a replacement for Androu1's tool, let's just say that my program is a simpler/easier/noob-friendly way of creating songs as I intended, not the complicated stuff that all of the other guides detailed. But Androu1's tool still has a start point and has the ability to make mono/stereo victory themes non-looped.

Oh, sorry about that >.> I didn't even think about the loudness of the regular songs. Well, i have something to watch out for, now.

For victory themes... it's one of the first options on OP's tool v.07 aka the link that's up now. Haven't tested it, but im sure it works well. As for any glitchyness, I'll try resetting "my music" in brawl. I wouldn't think this program has anything to do with song swapping. All his program does is help make the music file. I don't even have androu's tools, haha. I like this program THAT much :)

Random question, if you make a .brstm for FD, say it's called X04.brstm for example. If you just renamed it, would it work on another stage? I guess what I'm asking is, is the name of the .brstm file what determines where the track will played, or is there some internal factor IN the brstm that places it at a certain stage.

Nope, if you renamed it to something like N01, it'll be played on Smashville lol. Go ahead and rename it, as long as it's playable and the File Patch 3.2a can find it.

This is not the thread to ask for that (if you mean texture hacks).
No I mean is there a file that contains the sound for the 3 different fighter stances.

Instead of Marth saying stuff in Japanese could I have him say "you all my *****es now" lol

Great program, but I ran into a few problems:
My Wii is freezing before I get to the WiFi waiting room. Is it because I am using other replacement codes, like textures, too?

When I try to edit Victory themes, the Z01 is 0:00, nonetheless, I replaced the file, and when I went to brawl to check out the victory theme, it froze my game.

is there any way to modify the victory themes?
As Darkshadow said, v0.7 has the feature quite easily implemented. I've also tested the feature personally -- I replaced the Metroid victory theme with the opening words of Super Metroid and it worked perfectly.

Likely code conflicts. What other codes do you have on, other than File Patch 3.2a?

I'm not sure why, but when I replace the Wifi Room with a new song it doesn't play said song... Hmm.

Shouldn't it work in the added hacked Wifi Room in versus mode?

I have the SD loader and the file replacement thing from the texture hacks thread. I turned them off, and patch .2 still allows me to use my textures. Right now, I'm working with one song at the main menu, and it is now running smoothly, I'll come back with more results later after putting in a few more tracks.

Ok I encountered some weird freezing last night.

1st) I played a replaced song in the sound test menu to see if it worked
2nd) I went to the character select screen which turns off the music played in the sound test menu and plays the menu song (which of course was changed as well)
3rd) As soon as I picked my character the game froze but the music was still playing.

This happened twice mind you

3rd) As soon as I picked my character the game froze but the music was still playing.

This happened twice mind you
if your playing with texture's, try playing without them. otherwise it might be something with the song.

I'm having an error with one song. I have successfully done several songs that work in brawl with the latest nightly build. This song I have done twice to double check, it is made in this program fine, and even begins to play the song in brawl but when it hits a certain part of the song it freezes brawl.

It is only with this song and only in a certain spot, both in an actual level, and in the brawl music player, so I know it's the song that is the problem.

does anyone know why that would happen?

I guess I was wondering if there was a way to fix it, I love the song :)

I am using the song "Special Trax -!- Nobuo Kurita"

from here

can someone else convert it also to varify my problem?
