I tried using goldwave, but the problem still persisted. I don't think that the problem is in the way the file is encoded. It seems to me that what is happening is that the gui isn't processing how long the victory theme is supposed to be correctly and it won't let me manually fix it.

*edit
All of the music that I am having problems with is music that doesn't loop. Something in the GUI must have a bug in it that affects only unlooped music.

This doesn't seem to be working for PAL....
Cause when I try to select the SD folder or something it says "create folders" or "i picked the wrong folder"
and when i say create folders it does it in NTSC-US.

Then use BrawlBox for your victory themes, all you gotta do is convert to wav before making, and you'll get good victory themes
@*Duffy*, that's because music hacks require File Patch 3.5.1, which is ONLY for NTSC-U. It hasn't been ported to PAL yet, which is why the GUI does that. Sorry about your luck, bro

Oh ok well thank you very much darksamus77
You're welcome, anytime. Bug a coder to get that file patch for PAL in the PAL Code Database somewhere on Smashboards, PAL users really need that code, just saying

I keep having problems with this program... it seems that two of my songs get spliced. I have songs that are set to play on the menu, but after a while, another song starts playing instead of the song I set it to. The song it plays is a song I have set to play on a stage...

and one of the songs I don't even have in my strm folder.

Back up your SD data
Defrag your SD card
Should fix it

But if I back up the data, wouldn't the bug still be there?

I'll try it...

I'm not sure whether this question has been asked already, but I'm not keen to go back and search through 57 pages xD

I'm having problems editing the "Display Name" category. It saves the display name initially, but when I restart GUI the category is blank again. It's also constantly giving me an error that tells me the Display Name category is "NBNull" or something. Is there ANY possible way to fix this, and get rid of the error so that the display names are saved?

EDIT: Nevermind. It's working fine now somehow.

This is strange. I haven't ever had a problem with this program until now. I've been able to convert songs without a problem, but now, no matter what I do, the convert always freezes at "Decoding Left Channel" regardless of what song or file type. I thought it might just be taking a long time, so I started it and left for 30 minutes, came back, and nothing changed.

Is there a reason for this? I even re-downloaded the program.

Edit: Nevermind. Turns out it was because there were song files in the tmp folder. It was causing it to mess up.

I'm getting this too, but it's not getting fixed at all. It only works if I change the titles before loading up the SD.

You use that tool again with the default settings.
That tool and this tool are completely different in the way they change music around.

I used this program, and I did everything in the video, then I extracted it to my SD card, when I put the card in and loaded brawl, the music was still the same.
Did I miss something or is there a code I'm missing or something?

Help pl0x.

This is pretty cool! I ran into an error earlier, but after I moved it to a new folder to store the .brstm's I was making, it went away.

Also, what does this "Display song titles now perfectly match the song titles in-game (Hint, Hint)" mean exactly? I haven't put anything on my SD card and loaded it yet, but would this mean that whatever I have listed under 'Display Name' would appear in-game as the song title when a game starts?

*edit* I'll probably have other questions to ask later :(

No, that means that if you export the songs.db, you could use the ALSTT to make titles to match the ones it displays in the BCSM-GUI

I'm sure this has been addressed at least once in this thread already, but could someone explain to me how to determine the loop values for a song? I'm running the song in audacity (and struggling to figure out how to set loop values). I understand what to do with the loop values once I get them. I'm just new to the program and don't know how to set loops...

And are there any tips for making the loop seamless, or is it kinda just trial and error?

Thanks for any help

Use Goldwave for loop values. Audacity requires trial and error
@Wolfric, you need to replace those using mu_menumain.pac and Brawlbox, there's a guide in the Tutorials, FAQ's, and Help forum

Not quite EVERY VGM. For instance, Metroid Prime Pinball, Halo 3, and Star Wars: Jedi Outcast are missing soundtracks, along with Super Mario 64.

I know this AWESOME program can make loops with intros but how do you know what numbers to put in to start at a spot(EX: Some songs have an intro that plays at the start but that part never plays twice thanks to looping properly, how do i set up my songs to do that?)

Use BrawlBox, it automatically saves the intro without any extra work

I ran into a problem with this that started out of nowhere, it was working fine no problem at all for a few months then all of a sudden songs would part way through, turn into a loud hissing crackle or start playing a poor quality version of a song on a completely different stage. Also, sometimes I get an error that's caused by song that I need to isolate and reconvert when I try to close the program or export to my songs.db and it wipes out my songs.db file.

I cant help you with the Songs.db thing but i can tell you that you need to defrag you SD. that will fix the crackling and song swapping (which i personally enjoy during a serious fight)

It was kind of amusing the first time it happened seeing me and my friends jump in shock not knowing what happened. I tried defraging and going back and testing it several times and it only delayed how long before it happens. I ended up formatting it, defraging it, then copying everything back on and it fixed it. Also, for the problem with the songs.db getting wiped, it seemed like the songs that were yellow even though I had then in my library were causing it, once it took those songs out of the strm folder it fixed. I deleted those songs from my library and reconverted them and they stopped causing problems. Thanks for the help on the defraging issue.
