I'm just saying about the rips. We don't have any higher quality ones, but we should use what we can use.

Yeah, if you've heard the Bowser's Castle from the game on the Nintendo Sound Selection (I think it's Volume B - Loud Music), it sort of makes you think, why don't they release a whole soundtrack with remastered MKSC songs? I'd love to hear a remaster of Cheese Land, or something.

Oh man, Cheese Land would sound epic remastered.
Speaking of that, I asked you a question on your profile on Moosehunter's site. Where did you get your extended music (like Cheese Land or Mystic Cave 2 player)?

Yea, something's wrong with it right now. Let's see what moosehunter says when he's on.

There's no simple way of saying this -- I made them myself. How exactly? Well, to put it as simple as I can, it involves muting channels, and cropping parts together. For example, with the Mystic Cave 2 Player, I recorded the entire track with just the "percussion" channels, then the entire track with the percussion, and another channel, and then the entire track with yet another channel added, and basically took the first few seconds of each part, and pasted them together, so you start with one channel, then the same part but with an extra bit added (e.g. the bass, or something).

And what was literally seconds after it said there was no connection, I got onto it again... and I managed to upload all the SMB3 (SMAS version) BRSTMs I did -- even though, somehow, some idiot (me) is numerically dyslexic:
If a find a loop from 28672 to 1487564, I'll probably type 1485764 <_____<

My method:
- Go into Goldwave
- Find a loop section
- Copy the starting point
- Drag starting point to where I want song to start
- Save Selection As
- Paste in BrawlBox
- Huzzah, BRSTM!

That's if you're not intending on putting them in the game. If you ARE, you'd do the calculation so that the loop start point is to the nearest multiple of 14336 from what you found, and the loop end point is the same difference, i.e. if you found a loop from 17036, the nearest multiple of 14336 would be 14336 itself. Now if you found the loop end to be 2087563, the difference between 14336 and 17036 is 5700, therefore, the loop end should be 2087563 - 5700 or 2081863.

It is VERY necessary, if you want them to be in the game, but if you just want to make them just to listen to them endlessly in Winamp, then it's not necessary. To put it in simple terms, all streamed stuff in Brawl has loop start points in blocks, each block being 14336 samples, therefore, the start must be 0, 14336, 28672, 43008, etc.

Brawlbox fixes the loops, my converter fixes the loops. However Brawlbox is inferior because it puts silent samples at the beginning of the file. My converter doesn't.

It still isn't working right now... At least, this will give me the time to complete the first disc of Megaman Battle and Chase's songs.

I've been out of the loop for a while (get it?), is there anything better than Dant's GUI (BCSM-GUI) or should I keep using that? I haven't really had issues, I'm just curious.

I prefer Brawlbox over Dant's tool. His is kind of outdated

Mmm, I see.

I uploaded 6 BRSTMs for now, 1 from Megaman X3 and the five others from Contra Hard Corps on the Sega Genesis. Those five songs were ripped straight from the game via an emulator (yay for sound test in the game :awesome:).

Ehh, I like my converter better. It aligns the loop points properly without adding silence at the beginning of the song, and it supports at least 100 file formats.

So, you mean, if you entered a the loop points at 14337 and 1079308, it'd automatically change it to 14336 and therefore 1079307?
