This means that what I have uploaded right now are safe ? (I'm a bit tired right now, so I may misunderstand things...)

I've done virus checks, error checks, memory checks, and other things, including defragmentation, and nothing was found except 2 corrupt temporarily downloaded files (which were IIRC to do with old versions of firefox), i.e., which had nothng to do with explorer, AFAIK.

I read on a topic on Microsoft's Support forums, about this problem, and a lot of the posters suggested "turning off" thumbnails (i.e. showing icons instead of thumbnails, and stopping the thing where you can see what's in a folder in the folder icon), however I haven't actually had a chance to see if it works (I'm using my laptop at the moment).

Videos can also be a problem. Sometimes something goes wrong when it tries to get the metadata and previews under certain conditions, at least in XP.

Well, somehow it basically had something to do with "sharemedia.dll_unloaded", according to the logs. I didn't even have sharemedia.dll, so um, I dunno. And I'm on a shared network.

Well, I haven't had any errors yet. I'm going to be doing some Super Mario 64 DS BRSTMs (yes, including songs that are also in Super Mario 64), also a bit of Pikmin.

Same, Seg. I guess I should check out the requests.
Though my loops are always inferior to the rest of you guys

Megaman Battle Network 5 - Powerful Enemy by Linkshot - DEMO
Pikmin - Last Gigantic Creature by Linkshot - DEMO
Pikmin 2 - Boss by Linkshot - DEMO

There's one request tackled.
Doing Emperor Bulblax and Pikmin 2 Boss now.

Uhhhhhhhhh I goofed and changed the page in the middle of the upload. Is it gonna keep uploading behind the scenes or do you have a junk file now? >_>

Aaaaahahahaha I suck I uploaded the MMBN5 song as a normal song instead of a request.

A request from the site: "Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time - Boss Battle"
"Comments: The version currently uploaded on here is the "Brawl Lost Tracks" version. Make it a bit louder because the video is kinda quiet."
IT'S THE SAME DAMN TRACK :U

That's what I thought. And to be honest, there isn't actually a confirmation that the Boss Battles theme is even a lost track. This was just a guess. The only thing we DO know is that it's from "Mario & Luigi RPG 2" (i.e. Partners in Time), so it could be ANY song from there, like Hollijolli Village or something. But seriously, it's the "Brawl lost tracks version"? When you uploaded Yoshi Falls for Mario Kart DS, did you use the Mario Kart Wii BRSTM? If you did, OMG! YOU USED THE RONG WUN! OH NOEZ :)

They're not really lost tracks, they're more of a "guess of what the tracks might have been", to be honest. Some of them maybe obvious, but others aren't. They're simply going by file names that were found in the ISO, or something.

But in the case of Mario & Luigi PIT Boss Battle:
Here's the ORIGINAL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU0_d38i1jo

Here's the so-called "Brawl" version:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDdkE-jxmSo

The only difference is that it's slightly more stereofied (whatever you call it), and maybe slightly remastered, but it's still the same song.

Alright guys. Winter break is coming up soon so I'll be able to get EVERYTHING updated.

I'm glad to see Moosehunter's website is getting well deserved attention.

Thanks for keeping up the ship while I was inactive.

I finally managed to get a decent quality Chameleon Twist "rip" (to be exact, it's an MP3 set recorded from the sound test, which I got from FFShrine), and they are 192-244 kbps VBR.

It's a Game Boy Advance game, what do you expect? The only high quality one IMO, is Bowser's Castle, since it was a remastered version from a Nintendo Sound Selection CD.

When no one has posted in this topic for over 19 hours, AND no one has uploaded any BRSTMs to brawlcustommusic.com for also over 19 hours, that's not good.

Do you have "better quality" rips? As you may or may not have guessed, I used the original GSF files. Since, AFAIK, there is no "official" soundtrack, then every single possible MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, or whatever of this game therefore be from the GSF rip, right? Just like with Goldeneye (64 not Wii), there never was an "OST", therefore, every single MP3 or "so-called OST" is actually from USFs -- I do honestly wish people wouldn't convert "rips" (sequenced or streamed) and call them the "OST". They should be referred to as "gamerips" -- anyone been to FFShrine and downloaded the so-called "Goldeneye 64 Official Soundtrack", or whatever they may call it?

There is something that REALLY puzzles me about "Goldeneye 64 rips" -- how come, the actual tune of Caverns has a total length (intro to loop-end) of about 4:09 (if looped from 0:00), yet pretty much ALL MP3s of this theme seem to fade out at 3:20 or somewhere with '3' as the minutes? Generally, I like to have all game rip MP3s or whatever format they're in to be 2 loops, with a 5 - 10 second fadeout. Although 1 loop is Ok, if they're normally farely long, i.e. every single normal stage theme in GE64 except for Statue is over 2 minutes (with 2 of them being over 4 minutes, Surface 1 and Caverns) -- however, most Caverns MP3s are not even ONE loop, they're like... 80% of a loop then fade out? WTF? IT'S MADNESS (but not Sparta)

Yeah, but is everyone on the internet from the same country, in the same timezone, and all at school, college, university, whatever? I'm 21 so I have all the time in the world, it's just that I don't want to be the only uploader.

I believe I got MP3s that were ripped from the GSFs on OSTProject.
So, what's wrong with the ones already on the site? Wasn't it you that said they were bad quality?

EDIT: Wow, how surprising, they're just as bad as GH, and KHInsider. The MKDD soundtrack for example, is a god damned "let's just record about 5 seconds into the track, and leave a few sound effects" rip. Has NO ONE heard of ISOs, streams, rips, no sound effects, start from the beginning?

GH, KH, OSTProject are just the same as each other. If you want GOOD quality soundtracks, use rips, use either 320 kbps MP3 or up to 256 kbps AAC format, and for god's sake, tag them properly. The MKDS soundtrack has a lot of so-called "betas" -- they are ALL, I repeat, ALL in the game. And what's with teh "Unknowns"?
FYI:
Beta 1 = Mission 5-1
Beta 2-5 are Victory, Failure or other menu themes, as are most of the Unknowns.

I didn't say anything was wrong with them. Those are the best rips we got.
Anyway, I made 3 quick BRSTMs. I'll post them when they're done uploading.

TheUltimateKoopa, that's how Maximum Velocity worked.
There were 6 Unknown tracks.
4 were multiplayer (I assume since I had no friends)
1 was mother****ing Fire Field
1 was the Staff Roll.

How the **** do you classify Fire Field as unknown?

Them "both acts" ones are pretty good. Especially how you overlapped them for a smooth transition. Most people'd probably have some glitched change, either a noticeable gap, or they'd suddenly start playing "Act 2" at the wrong time (like maybe half a beat to late, or a fraction of a second too early).
