I would love to hear your input. I got a friend whos looking to up his fox game and need a role model. Mind pointing me in the right direction?

I don't get your post.

You want the Fox equivalent of Bombsoldier, but you want a role model.

Good Fox role models are Mew2king, Mango, PC Chris, and RaynEX.

Bombsoldier is not a good Falco role model, or at least, not near being the best. Not even close.

You have to acknowledge all 3 of them when talking about role models. Each of them has something the other doesn't, or the other can't do as well.

If they all combined...

bombsoldier is to falco as mew2king is to fox.

bombsoldier was first to do alot of short hop pillar shine combos that all the falcos do nowadays.

mew2king was the first to spam a **** load of lasers, which all foxes seem to do nowadays.

so uh.. yeah.


but if ur looking for amazing fox players then. m2k,dashizwiz,mango,kdj,pcchris, and KFC! ^_^

Forward has been my Falco role model for many years, while Ken and Isai have been my Fox role models.

<3 Generic Fox.

Cactuar has recently inspired me to play Fox a bit more, though I still model myself after generic, efficient strategies.

I think Zelgadis for beign an early dominant force with Fox, everyone else like M2K shined a little later. Man i just saw Zel's Shine combo vid, sex.

Bombsoldier is a bit overrated. Everyone is replying with the best fox they can think of, but BS is mainly a robot with some ridiculous combos. When i was playing him, he'd comntinue to pillar/combo even after i'd DI'd away and was long gone.

I know i'll probably get some angry looks from this post, but people need to realize that yeah, Japan players are good, but being top in Japan =/= being amoung the top in the US.

I was out of smash loop for 6 months and I come back and mango is like, "hey I'm like one of best in us LOL"

The only guy in this thread who think BS is any good is the guy who made it, and he has one post. He is probably a relatively new player who heard BS was good a couple years ago, watched a few vids, and believed it.

Its like when I meet someone new to the scene and they say things like:

"Ken is the best at smash"

"Isai is the best Falcon"

Its clear that these people are a year or two behind, and just don't know about the current state of things.

He's M2K's kryptonite, he even said so himself =p

On another note, mango was one of the members of the crew that kdj beat all by himself a while ago.

grab->dthrow->raptor boost->uair -> REGRAB? -> dthrow -> KNEE?

caps+question mark indicate me asking why the **** someone would d.i. into that. Instead of just holding away and avoiding that kind of ****. :laugh:
