Hold the phone. It looks like I had ran the draft system as something else (autodraft). When I changed it to a live draft, I could not select 8:30 pm.

With that being said, the earliest I could select was 10:30 pm central. I really apologize for that. If that's inconvenient for anyone, we can reschedule it for another time.

Far as having a 6 man league goes...I was thinking I can make two "auto teams" that I can give to Nike or GOTM if they ever respond. If they don't, well we can hang our heads when the auto teams win it all LOL.

Gonna be honest I never would have imagined this new Lakers team being 0-6 in the preseason despite the fact that Dwight has been out.

Honestly though their bench has a LOT of work to do. Every time the starters went out the Lakers lost their lead.

Yeah sure, though we'd need one more person to round it out to be 8.

Edit: GOTM is in. So if Nike doesn't respond in a few days, I'll replace him with Hot Arms.

Draft day? What's a good day for everyone? Weekend? Weeknight? If people know their schedules ahead of time, go ahead and post as many times as available.

I'm personally looking at Saturday and Sunday night.

I can't seem to find the scoring system anywhere. I think I saw it when I first signed up but now that I'm in I can't find it. Can anyone tell me where that's at? Wanna setup my projections before the draft...

Thanks.

@GOTM: From the league home page (where you see all the teams), under the league tab, on the far right should be "Scores and Settings". You can view what we have set up in terms of categories and what not.

@Hot_Arms: What time zone you in?

I see:

Field Goal Percentage (FG%), Free Throw Percentage (FT%), 3-point Shots Made (3PTM), Points Scored (PTS), Total Rebounds (REB), Assists (AST), Steals (ST), Blocked Shots (BLK), Turnovers (TO)

but it doesn't say the weight of each one.

In head to head, all that matters is you win most of the categories I believe. Overall season statistics reflect on where you place if you are tied.

Example: GOTM vs Bored

GOTM wins FG%, FT%, 3 point%
Bored wins Points Scored, Rebounds, Assists, Steals

Therefore, I win.

Draft will have a random order. It will proceed to go via snake method. So the person who has the first pick in the draft will have the last pick in the second round. First pick in the third. Last pick in the fourth.

No salary cap. You get a waiver rank, which is placed depending on where you started in the draft. If you had the last pick, you get first priority in picking up players off of waiver. Once you use that waiver, your counter resets from first to last, and the next person in line becomes first.

Otherwise, you can pick up players when they are not on waivers, but you do have a roster limit.

Just saw this news today. God DAMN it! Of COURSE Kevin Love has to break his hand. Mother f#ck. I'm sorry to sound so angry, but this is just unfair.

After years of untimely injuries, horrible luck in the lottery, and general failure, I'm finally fed up with it all. I've been DYING for the T-Wolves to make the playoffs for the past two years, and now that no. 8 seed is probably going to some stupid team like Phoenix that will be a 1st-round elimination team for the next 5 years. It's extremely, extremely frustrating to think about. We're supposed to be a resurgent team, on the rise, and the fans are gaining hope for the first time in almost a decade, and then this sh%t happens. Every time. Remember Rubio tearing his ACL last year?

God, I don't technically believe in you, but if you're listening, please give my Timberwolves a little help. I don't care if this is random, or melodramatic, or premature, or whatever. I've had it.* Sincerely, a downtrodden fan

*Of course, there's an 80% that everything will change by the week, in which case I'll have a new outlook on things. Such is the way of sports!

at first, i was apprehensive about it, but after reading it, it kinda makes sense in a way, thoughts anyone?
This is a good change and it definitely shows how the league as a whole is starting to slightly shift its idea of what a "center" really is... I definitely wouldn't label Bosh as a center just because he's playing the center position this year.

@Crazie I feel for ya man I was really looking forward to watching a healthy Wolves this season, but K Love shouldn't be gone for any longer than a month or two right? But now that I think about it the West is so tough this year that just might be enough to put them out of the playoff race... Damn that sucks.

I'm no expert on FF Basketball, but can you explain that a bit better so I have an idea of what it is?
Ah, nevermind. I thought fantasy basketball had the same options as fantasy football when it comes to waiver stuff, but apparently not. I made mine own league to check just in case and no dice.

This is what I meant by the different waiver systems:

- Continual rolling list: waiver claims are processed in waiver priority order and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list. (fantasy basketball only uses this one or the FAAB type)

- Reverse order of standings: waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and successful claims do not affect waiver priority list.

- Weekly rolling list based on standings: waiver claims are processed in reverse order of standings and each successful claim moves a manager to the end of the waiver priority list. (this is what I wanted/how I usually play with in fantasy football)

Well, it's honestly been on ESPN and Sports Center for the past 3-4 days. Surprised you guys are getting wind of it now. But yeah, he's gonna be missing about 10-20 games.

@Achoo: Okay, I see. That does make sense, but yeah I'll look through the settings before the draft and see if I can change it to something more competitive.

Hot Arms, I'm gonna send you an invite by the end of tonight. Looks like we'll be having the draft Sunday night. Everyone, make sure your schedule is open for that day!
