Anthony Davis gonna block Tim Duncan. Why do you think no video has come out of their combined training in SA? :)

Timberwolves just signed Lou Amundson. That brings their total to 10 white players on one team.

Statistically speaking the chances of one team having that many white players in the current NBA without it being a coincidence is extremely slim... Regardless they have a good squad. Anything short of the playoffs is a massive disappointment.

Big fan of basketball in general, been playing ever since I was 5 and have a huge heart for the game. Despite OP's post, the game is only one by the little guy, THE POINT GUARD! It's the position I play and the one I respect the most. You need to be able to see everything and make sure the right people get the ball. That includes the big men! But Rebounding is a big factor, I won't argue there.

Huge Steve Nash fan, I'm a suns fan too. It hurts to know that he's on the lakers :( but I'm hoping for him to get a championship, even if it means the lakers need to win it. I'm also a fan of LBJ. And even though his hardware will most likely never match jordans, I believe he will go down the best. He is one of the most dynamic players the game has ever seen. Haters keep hating, the man can ball!

Anyone else excited to see Brandon Roy making a comeback!? Such an incredible player with a silky smooth jumper. If only he stayed healthy, he'd be so good.

Played some 1 on 1 today before working out my legs. Aside from wearing my ****ty 8 year old shoes with no traction, it felt good burning the guy several times lol.

I'm 5'10 and 165 lbs (so skinny if you're not looking at muscle and fat). Depending on the game that's being played, I can play various positions. I generally end up at the 2 or 3, though I've been working more on my ball handling and PG skills.

Pretty much. Though we should agree on which site to use first. There's 3:

  • ESPN
  • NBA
  • Yahoo

I'm personally fine with either espn or yahoo, but I don't want to make one yet til most of us agree on a site.

Sounds about right, I wish you lived up here in new england, I wouldnt mind having someone to run some pg drills with. Handling can be a pain, but it sure is handy.
I'm a 5'8" white boy at 175ish lbs. I kind of grabbed rim once, such a high light of my life.

ESPN is better if you're doing the draft in person, Yahoo is better if you're doing it online. As far as in-season management, Yahoo takes the cake there too.

Yahoo is my vote.

Played a bunch of pick up games last night, and was just crazy on fire last night lol.

Also love my Kobe 7's...the traction on these shoes are sick. Love how I can stop on a dime and retain my balance.

I like how the kobe's look, they are a lil too low cut for me. I like just a tad bit more ankle support.

I got some D-rose 2.5's that are working out for me

Yeah, I've sprained my ankles in high tops several times before. Though it's weird, it's like my ankles have grown "resistance" to spraining so even when I twist my ankle...I can still play through it and feel OK the next day.

Kobe 7's might possess a bit more danger if I were to twist my ankle though. With that being said, I look for shoes that have the best traction. Given Kobe is in the later stages of his career, he personally said he needs shoes to help with his footwork. These definitely do the job.

I mean...it was a pretty popular suggestion. I would go as far as suspending players though if they do it too much. Have Blake Griffin come into my office and I give him the Mutombo finger wag.

I'm not an NBA expert, but is it considered flopping when he's trying to draw contact when he leaves the ball in his land before laying it up? I always consider flopping on a charge or going backwards

You can bet in the NBA finals flopping will be back. No one will care about a 10k fine when most the guys in that game have millions in the bank

That's why I want players to get suspended.

Flopping does exist on offense as well. Mainly when a player drives to the hoop and just falls down or flails his arms. The other big offense is when guards on pick and roll will purposely bump into the big men and flail. I think that's pretty obvious to see (CP3 and Pierce), but a player flailing his arms or whipping his head back on a drive is much tougher.

This sums up what CP3 and Pierce do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-iAyueYWjE

But that would be a foul either way.

I honestly don't think players should be fined and/or suspended for flopping. The refs are there to make the calls and its up to them to decide that. Flopping is a part of the game, and unfortunately some feel the need to do it.

That ain't a foul. PP running into a scrawny big man and falling down is a disgrace. Dude flopped.

When the ref at the last second turns and sees a player fall down, he always gives him the benefit of the doubt and assumes he got pushed. There are only 3 refs on the court and 10 players. Do the math. Flopping needs to be enforced post game, so players are more reluctant to do it. It's the only way to reduce or get rid of it altogether. It doesn't make the game any better either.

GOTM says head to head is fun.

So being the FL newbie, I'll assume head to head is fun.

BUT IN OTHER NEWS... I just got an email from my college letting me know that they're selling a limited amount of (student discounted) tickets for the HAWKS vs. HEAT game! I finally get to see the Heat play live I'm sooo excited!

November 9th can't get here soon enough!!
