I like how half the comments are about Conker and how he personally diverged from Diddy Kong Racing. I would totally headcanon Conker buying BK and K. Rool a pint to celebrate their making it into Smash Bros.An event to reiterate and celebrate indeed.

That said, at least we won't have much longer to wait until Nintendo news.
this is amazingSurprised this render hasn't been posted yet, but figured it'd be of interest.
By Eman Pelletier. The fans are getting pretty good ~ (even if this does have a very slight animatronic vibe )
I haven't talked about this, as it's a rando 4chan leak, but I see a lot of people hoping it's true, here. While I'm non-judgemental and people can believe whatever they want, I would recommend *extreme* caution being caught up in this one.
THIS.Just a reminder that
BANJO AND KAZOOIE ARE CEMENTED INTO THE VIDEO GAME ICON HALL OF FAME.
That is all.
Don't get me wrong. I don't believe it one bit but it doesn't mean I would love for it to be real.I haven't talked about this, as it's a rando 4chan leak, but I see a lot of people hoping it's true, here. - 23rd, without saying the month it implies the next 23rd, which is today. Too early for their release, and we've heard nothing. Could also mean September 23rd, which is more reasonable, but that's how these rumors stick around by creating that ambiguity.
- Grant Kirkhope WOULD NOT EVER write the dialogue. He is a composer, not a writer, and would likely not feel comfortable even if he would be asked. Which he wouldn't, because he's a composer, and in the West. It was hard enough for Sakurai to work with someone overseas, and it was miraculous that we got a re-mix arranged by him. This kills this rumor from the get-go.
- Sunglasses Banjo is very unlikely as an alt costume, it doesn't change enough about the character to be worth the effort and to take up an alt slot. I'd like it, but likely not happening. Dragon Kazooie is far more likely, though it does go against Sakurai's stated policy of not including alt costumes that don't have the powers of that costume. We may just get a re-color of Green kazooie, but I do hope that policy is ignored, as Dragon Kazooie would be a great alt costume.
- Would be really great to have Grunty's Rhymes. I have a lot of hope for it, but don't expect it for one important reason: Grunty doesn't rhyme in the Japanese version of the game as it's not a thing in Japanese. While Sakurai might be aware through his research what the original version was like, the novelty of it may not be as seen easily. Even if a lot of requests included it, Sakurai might hesitate because it would be an entire feature that only makes sense in the English localization. I'd love to get it, though--make the whole thing about Grunty insulting the characters, which does make sense in both regions, and just have the English one rhyming. But it's a lot of effort for 70+ characters, and there's the difficulty when it comes to what they would do for the unannounced characters--leave them out, implement them after the release of those characters? Too many logistical issues.
- We could potentially get 20 music tracks, which would be amazing. But it didn't say that, it said 20 RE-MIXES. Not. Happening. Ever. At. All. We'll be lucky to get 2 re-mixes, and I hope we get more than that. 20 is just pie-in-the-sky dreaming.
Everything else looks reasonable, and if it were not for the Kirkhope dialogue, 20-remixes, and the ambiguous date, I would think it could be plausible. But this is almost certainly not going to happen. Still, people can believe what they want, I just recommend caution.
Same. At least, I hope many parts of that is real. Grunty boss, Grunty's rhymes, Dragon Kazooie, many songs to celebrate one of the greatest video game soundtracks. In fact, I'm glad those glaring issues are in the rumor, sets me down gently that it's not real--had those not been there, I'd be psyching myself up more about it. It's why I'm trying (and failing) to set my expectations as low as possible--what we have already is amazing. Grant Kirkhope doing a re-mix alone seemed unimaginable prior to their announcement, let alone them being depicted so brilliantly.Don't get me wrong. I don't believe it one bit but it doesn't mean I would love for it to be real.
To be fair, I honestly don't see the Game Pass being a "distraction from Nintendo's first parties" as a problem like people seem to.http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20...like_to_see_xbox_game_pass_on_other_platforms
Don't expect to see this happen immediately, for the reasons mentioned in there. It could come a few years down the road.
I think it would certainly benefit both parties, for the reasons you said. While I kinda understand what the writer's going for--if huge games are available on Xbox Game Pass on Switch, that's less money going to Nintendo directly... it's still a big selling point for the Switch, making up for not being able to natively run more intense games. And yeah, I see no reason for Microsoft to keep Banjo & Kazooie tied exclusively to Xbox--they should realize that audience is on Nintendo, and take advantage of that.To be fair, I honestly don't see the Game Pass being a "distraction from Nintendo's first parties" as a problem like people seem to.
It's like: Microsoft wins by putting their games on more systems and thus gaining an edge over other streaming services... but Nintendo would also win, because streaming could potentially help the Switch run several single-player games that might not be available for their console otherwise and thus attract more potential customers. It's a pretty big compromise.
That said, the way the service is structured allows for Microsoft to keep a few games exclusive to the Xbox if they want to (like Rare Replay is right now), but I see no reason to do so unless the target audience for that game is Xbox-only.
Really, both sides would benefit greatly from this. That said, it would probably take some time...
I completely agree on the Pac-Man comment. I never played the 3DS Smash, but to me that sounds like the only stage where they would have to change part of the stage. As for other stages like the Wii U DK stage and the vertical scrolling stages, if their concern was the stages not working when you have transitions between stages, why not just exclude them from that feature? In Smash for Wii U there were some stages that couldn't support 8 players. Why not just have some stages that can't transition? I'd rather have all of the stages back and some that can't transition than only the stages that can transition.I think if any stage should've been altered, Pac-Maze ought to be first on the list. I mean it's one of the most iconic "locations" in gaming, while the alternative is one of the most abysmal stages in the whole series.
I guess tweaking stages' functionality wasn't much of a priority though. :/
tbh The only Mario Odyssey DLC I want is Treasure Trove Cove. Not related to Banjo technically, but we got this, apparently:

Maybe DLC for Odyssey? Either way, this could be yet another hint for an incoming Direct...
Wasn't there a video showing that Isle o' Hags was set kinda close to DK Island?tbh The only Mario Odyssey DLC I want is Treasure Trove Cove.
I think I cracked the code.Wasn't there a video showing that Isle o' Hags was set kinda close to DK Island?
If we ever get a Donkey Kong DLC for Odyssey... who knows XD
Just imagine throwing Cappy on Banjo and then the game basically switches to Banjo-Kazooie lol
Fake. It's missing Kanto, Eagleland, Planet Zebes and Yoshi's Island.I think I cracked the code.
Plus, Banjo will be home permanently! To be fair, I honestly don't see the Game Pass being a "distraction from Nintendo's first parties" as a problem like people seem to.

I wanted to include those, but I only have so much MS Paint.Fake. It's missing Kanto, Eagleland, Planet Zebes and Yoshi's Island.
I heard it's actually an older image that was used some time ago.Not related to Banjo technically, but we got this, apparently:

Hmm, so it was basically whoever was in charge of NOA's Twitter account playing with our hearts, then? Just that? For the record, I don't mind Pac-Land. It's the only way that Ms. Pac-Man gets acknowledged, since SHE ISN'T EVEN IN THE SPIRITS.
Yes, I'm still mad about Bamco downplaying her ever since they snapped Pac's entire supporting cast out of existence after Midway stopped existing.
I heard it's actually an older image that was used some time ago.
Fun times. And a year ago most people thought there wouldn't even be DLC because there was "enough characters".Can we appreciate how far ultimate has come? Just think, a year and a half ago we were arguing whether it was just gonna be a port.
Ya, i definitely agree with Pac-Man's lack of acknowledgement in smash ultimate, i could take a guess that sakurai is wanting to representing pac-man for his original games only to show what he's known for, but even with that it just takes away the later games(before ghostly adventures) history on giving a expanding breath of fresh air for pac-man. i also see ms. pac-man not having a spirit a bummer too.I mean, I can understand not wanting to acknowledge most of the characters that originally weren't created by Bamco (Jr. Pac-Man, Pac-Baby, Professor Pac-Man, as well as Ms.), or even staying in the comfort zone of pleasing Gen Oners (especially after screwing things up with Ghostly Adventures). But not even granting Ms. Pac-Man a spirit is just a plumb insult.
I think we ought to be careful before inferring a Grant tweet means something Banjo related. Perhaps he's just a fan of the Matrix.https://mobile.twitter.com/grantkirkhope/status/1165062494357835776
Soooo...Pigs flew for Banjo in Smash for Mr. Kirkhope. Could this mean what I would like it to mean? Rare Replay is coming...but what about an actual sequel?
Matrix 4. Original Music by Grant Kirkhope.I think we ought to be careful before inferring a Grant tweet means something Banjo related. Perhaps he's just a fan of the Matrix.
I also think it's funny those saying "Composing Matrix 4?!" I can just picture it now.Matrix 4. Original Music by Grant Kirkhope.
Oh I do agree with not looking to deep into things, but compared to last time, its nice to dream. (Banjo is home, regardless!)
Reminds me of the days when Kumazaki displayed his DQ merch alongside his DBZ one on Instagram and people took it as a hint that Hero was in. People, people, people...I also think it's funny those saying "Composing Matrix 4?!" I can just picture it now.
Grant: *finds out Matrix 4 is happening, big fan, decides to share his love of the franchise by tweeting* Hear that Mr. Kirkhope? That's the sound of inevitability......
Fan #1: RARE REPLAY COMING TO SWITCH?!?
Fan #2: ARE YOU COMPOSING MATRIX 4 (AS YOUR VERY FIRST MOTION PICTURE SCORING)?!?
Playtonic: WHAT'S HAPPENING GRANT?!?!
David Soliani: I don't think even HE knows
Grant: Guys... I'm like... just a fan of Matrix...
It could be worse, at least you don't get zonked out of a game randomly, have your character turn into a melted abomination, not have your game start at all, or even get stuck as an inert T-pose. That's what you deal with on Nitro-Fueled. Is the Canadian dollar so bad for Beenox that it's hard to afford a good server these days?I really hope someday Nintendo will learn how to do a proper online experience without lag interference. It's frustrating trying to do good against online opponents when you have a 1-second input delay between your control input and the gameplay itself. I wanna git gud with Banjo & Kazooie online!
Speaking from experience as a Canadian, yeah, probably. A Canadian dollar is about 3/4 of a US dollar, or 75 US cents. I don't know how expensive a server would be, though. It could be worse, at least you don't get zonked out of a game randomly, have your character turn into a melted abomination, not have your game start at all, or even get stuck as an inert T-pose. I sometimes hear people blaming people on Wifi. No, Nintendo should be blamed by not having an ethernet port on their dock, and even asking people in the Smash Direct to buy an extra accessory to have a better online experience. Nintendo should have valued a seamless online experience over cheapening out on the dock.I really hope someday Nintendo will learn how to do a proper online experience without lag interference. Damn! It doesn't matter which generation it is, Rare knows how to push a system's graphics to their limit. Or at least they use to anyway...Totally off-subject, but it appears that someone's been working on an indie game styled after Rare games from their Speccy days.

A sequel with Goldeneye 007, Diddy Kong Racing, DKC, DKC2, DKC3, DK64, and Star Fox Adventures all added.Rare Replay is coming...but what about an actual sequel?
