The issue with Coco is her skeleton is completely different in shape from Crash, especially the head. I think rigging her onto Crash would be essentially impossible in a Smash context.
The problem is Rare isn’t interested in doing it. Someone else would have to, and I don’t think many people are jumping to make a sequel to Rare’s most beloved IP. That’s a tall order.
I hope so. But, who else has an alternate female counterpart. Only one duo like that I can think of are Spyro and Cynder, the ones from Legend of Spyro. Hmm...who else though...ooh! Nah, can't be Scorpion and Sub Zero, they're both male and have different moves. Who do you guys think it is?
It's not actually a datamine, but if you add Banjo & Kazooie to the sound test's voice menu, there are three empty spaces after the generic Pokémon, Assist Trophy, and Smash Bros. voices. Someone made a mock-up to show three empty squares before those generic ones to show what it could look like, assuming it'll actually be perfectly symmetrical (which it might not given some other stuff).

You really think Retro is up to the task when they're knee deep in Metroid Prime 4 and probably had at least one game canceled in the last few years?
Miyamoto had at one point claimed that Retro can work on more than one game. If there's any time to put that claim into practice, it's now.
A. We dont know that they had a game canceled. Im still betting that we'll get a DKC 3 announcement this fall/winter.

I notice you always copy the link of a video into your post instead of putting it in media where the video's thumbnail can be shown on your post. To do this, go to the button that has 3 dots and a arrow on it, it's right next to the face button where you go to put character icons or emojis in your post. Now when you click it, you should see media on top, than you click it again than copy the video to media, and than you're done.

True. But I think they could work on two games at the same time too. Honestly, I don't want to wait until 2024 or 2025 to see K. Rool return to the DKC franchise.
One word to sum up this man's statement:
I don't want to diss on anyone's favorite characters, so I'll phrase it like this--why the **** did they add [insert random character here] before one of the most highly-requested, long-awaited characters once thought of as impossible? It boggles my mind, but am so grateful that if I had to choose between playing them on a fan game or in real Smash, that it's the latter.
Xbox 'is aware' it owns classic IP like Perfect Dark?
I guess if you are Sora and Waluigi fan, you'll take just about anything smash related to see your characters in a smash game, official or not. Heck Banjo & Kazooie don't really have a serious modding scene when it comes to Brawl hacking. I'm going to guess people don't mind the duo but just forget about them compared to their favourite characters because of the mindset that they're with Microsoft.I'm sorry but I cannot get hyped about Super Smash Flash 2. It's surreal that Banjo & Kazooie got added to actual Smash before they've been added to fan games. And while I much prefer that, and am thankful for that--how the **** hasn't Banjo & Kazooie been added to these fan games yet?
Yeah, I figured it's an individual bias, I'm just surprised with how many fan games and mods, Banjo & Kazooie weren't bigger. If I was a fan game designer I'd consider it an obligation to look at polls/data, see a) what characters people want b) what characters likely would never be in Smash. It's why I'd add someone like Goku, even though I don't personally care for it--it's too obvious.
K. Rool wasn't in any Smash fan games either too. WHAT DOES THE FLASH AND CRUSADE TEAM HAVE AGAINST RARE CHARACTERS... Yeah no one really thinks about the legal barriers that comes with anime characters since they can appear on any console. Though that's just my assumption as to why Banjo & Kazooie aren't worked on that much in the fan games or modding scene other than lack of interest or just not growing up with the two.
Yeah I was always a bit irked by the fact that, even in fan-made games, I couldn't live out my fantasies of playing as Banjo & Kazooie while freaking Goku, Naruto, the dude from Bleach, and Luffy could all make it in. Shameful. But you're absolutely right, it's their game, so they can choose who they put in. It probably helps that sprites already existed for all of those characters from a Smash Bros. type game (and there's demand for Goku in Smash, at the least), while anything for Banjo and Kazooie would have to made from scratch. This is the closest that anyone could get for Banjo and Kazooie sprites otherwise, and those wouldn't work well for a 2D game.
Project M is preparing to make Banjo into the game. They hinted at it in the ending of Toad's trailer.
What about Krystal? I want her playable in the actual games.
Are you talking about Smash Legacy XP? Because Nintendo shut down the Project M team from doing anything else. Right before Nintendo did that, they were going to put Isaac, Knuckles, Lyn, and Cammy into the game.

Besides the existing sprites for the anime characters, they were probably also added to the fangames with those developers knowing that Goku, Naruto, etc will never be possible in an actual Smash game, unlike Banjo. So they were added because they can't be added.
