You know what I mean:(. The other two games were my own skill. You should have SEEN that DACUS kill at 90% on Yoshi's Island. I didn't want to skip you man, trust me. Heh. Maybe if you beat me I can switch places with you.

It's all good either way, man. It seems like we just keep missing each other, heh.

Actually, Marth is indeed considered a 6:4 advantage over Ice Climbers, making him a reasonable soft counter for them. He's easy to chain grab, but he can space the **** out of them and Ice Climbers don't have a good approach for him. His short-hopped forward air beats out all of Ice Climbers' B moves, and he can edge guard the crap out of them.

Another couple of characters considered hard counters for ICs are Pikachu (7:3 Pikachu) and Snake (7:3 Snake). ZSS does well enough against them, too (6:4 ZSS).

Who knows, the winner from losers bracket will fight the winner from winners, that will determine the winner of the tournament

Since theres not many people who are left in the tournament, give me ideas of what the next theme should be, I know the winner gets to choose, so just post your ideas so he/she (girlz on internetz? HAH) has ideas. O:

I'm still here, there just hasn't been much necessity for me to post. You could have a tournament focused on certain franchises I guess. Other than that I have very little aside from a possible doubles tourney idea that has been floating around.

I had an interesting idea that I was toying around with. You could always hold a tournament in which each participant has to use characters from a certain tier based on the round. For instance, in the preliminaries, everyone must use characters from the low tier, while in the finals, everyone must play a top tier character. Not to say that it's the most original idea in the world, but it could be nice for some variety, you know.

A theme...? I don't know, maybe counterpicks only or something? I suck at these things.

I wouldn't mind this because I use everyone. :p Barge, if you don't want to go through all the trouble, do you want to be one of the co-hosts of my Halloween tournament?

I just had an even CRAZIER idea!

What if you held a tournament in which, on every round, each participant can only choose their OPPONENT'S character? It would have to be played entirely on neutrals, of course (no contextual counterpicking), but that could be a real interesting way to play.

Like for instance, I'm up against a person that absolutely kills with Snake, but can't play DeDeDe worth a ****. That means I can choose DeDeDe for him and force that person to use him, but it ALSO means that he could expect that and force me to play as Mario.

It was just another odd idea I had, so who knows. It might be somewhat interesting to see a bunch of Falcons and Ganondorfs running around if nothing else.

I've considering doing a tournament like this in the past but then I thought I could simply choose Sonic , Jigglypuff, or Shiek and royally screw up 90% of the people who signed up.

This.

Thissssssssssssssss.

The tournament would be hilariously awesome. Everyone would get characters they suck with and would suicide a lot. We could probably record all the matches in Brawl replays.

It would be hard to contact them quick and easy for each round to tell them what character they would be, probably more along the lines of you have to make them be a character and vise versa just for your matches. o:

Lol, no one would give their opponent snake and mk lolz

@Fm

O: Sure!

To make it easier, why not just make it so you have to win a set with your character and your opponent's character. I wouldn't mind adopting this idea into my Halloween tournament to make things easier on everyone. (Because the "nightmares" I have set up are retardedly hard.)

Actually, I've thought of that as well. The first match is easy - either PM each other or a third person (for double-blind) with your pick for them.

During the second and third rounds, you can indicate your picks on the character select screen. Simply change your name temporarily to that of the character you want them to be (for instance "C.F." or "OLI" etc.), with the winner of the previous round selecting for his opponent first - thus replicating some form of counterpicking.

Eh, either way. I'm just happy to be holding up so well. I'd love to play FMOI's Ice Climbers, though - win, lose, or draw.
