Almost. It's a good ruleset.

I'd like mk banned in doubles, and the timer set to 10 minutes. Also Dsr needs to be changed. Stagelist was on the money though.

Well actually, many members of the SA community are currently debating whether we should finish our mk trial ban. That's all it was to begin with. Nothing is definite but it is in our interest to unify our ruleset with at least QLD.

I spoke to attila a bit with the Japanese stagelist, and carried the topic with Allens after the tournament. I agree that the CP list should be significantly reduced to stages with minimal gimmicks and hazards.

there is an issue with dsr, however, since in a bo5, all stages but one would be played on, ignoring the cp almost completely. i figure one way around this would be to ignore the 1st match from dsr, but activate dsr on cps, or perhaps just on cp stages. for example, if game one is played on sv, game 2 on lylat, game 3 on ps1, then game 4 could be played again on sv, but not on lylat/ps1.
That's actually a great solution for DSR and it does not benefit either player with an unfair advantage. So dsr would apply to game 4 and 5.

EDIT: There is a push in SA for the timer to be extended to 9 minutes.

Also attila you should've SD'd as sopo in that last match against Ted. He was deliberately not killing you because he knew you had absolutely no options.

I don't understand your solution to the Dsr problem.

Also, I cant kill wario without the lead, since none of my aerials will work, and I can't force him on the ground.

I should've forfeited.

Mk is doubles is significantly more over powered and over used than in singles.

And there are a billion statistics to support this (check metagame thread).

The longer timer should actually discourage timing out, since it becomes more difficult to force a time out. Obviously it won't help in all situations, but it should reduce instances of deliberate timeouts.

Also, forgot to mention the lgl. 50 for mk is too generous.

any mk usage in doubles.

all of his strengths are greatly exaggerated when there is limited space.

i cant find the statistics myself, but i assume shaya will know where they are.

or you could just check the apex results thread lol

I'm pretty soso on whether or not MK should be banned in singles.
Doubles is a whole different gay game though :(

Although, I like stages.
So maybe as a guy who likes stages my opinion shouldn't count because I do in fact like a major facet of the game.

I'm sure you could find something done by "John numbers" (John12somethingorrather)'s threads in the main brawl parts of the site.

Yeah I think ICs should also have a no cging rule so that that MU is easier from my perspective too. :p

Lol I've been wanting 10 minutes on the clock since I got back from Japan.

Besides, an extra two minutes wouldn't help ics anyway. Moreso other matchups, mostly involving mk.

counterpick using a character that's not ness/lucas.

or by becoming 8 times better than your opponents.

Those are your options, no lie

Oh, you can also learn to love losing. That too.
