Sometimes I find it good if you use platforms to your advantage to get her into the air. For instance, you can do something like...

Shield while you're on a platform, and hopefully she'll do a full jump Nair. Waveshield off the platform in her direction and do a falling Uair. It won't really do any damage, but it'll put you in the advantaged position.

Sometimes a running full jump -> Dair on a stage like FD pays off, but other times it'll get you mad punished when you miss. A little risky, but feels really good when it works.

Also fc aerial->dsmash will destroy pika's meh shield and very likely shield stab if he chooses to shield it.

Light shielding makes it okay to shield fc aerial -> dsmash :x

yeah, but you won't be able to counter attack, so she could just do it over and over again until your shield dies =( It's not fair!!!!

Actually it IS fair. FC fair -> Dsmash to be exact.

You can't counter attack oos against that anyway >_> better to just shield and cut your losses.

hmm, i usually shield tilt in said situation, but mostly i just rarely shield against peaches anyway

here's a question: does anybody know what percents dthrow -> usmash actually combos, and against which characters? assuming no DI

It NEVER really combos as pichu I tested for hours and the because combo I could get was like gannon at 80% to f-tilt same vs sheik I forgot the percents.

however seeing how your up-smash outranges people's dair and it's not quick enough no di just go for it if they aren't like mario or luigi flaoty with a fast nair

Yeah. As far as I know, Dthrow -> Usmash never combos, however I've never done some super extensive research on it. I've just tried doing it A LOT, and never got any success. This could also be kinda hard to test in training mode with no C-stick. You'd have to time it so you Usmash right after your lag from Dthrow is done, and that can be kinda hard to do perfectly with up and A.

I thought it never comboed too, but then i was fighting against ganon in training mode and i believe it comboed at around 120 or so. i would like to research more but im kind of without a gcn right now.

i don't know when I was testing I couoldn't get it to combo into anything faster than 6 frames pikachu/pichu have to much lag for their -throw it makes me mad because it would combo sooooooo nicly.

=3= ok so now I've been trying to find up a use of a certain technique for some time now.
Where you dash past the initial dash and you turn around and get that laggy run where your basically walking in place, then if you dash back youll go at your normal dashing speed. I found out that pikachu is one of the only characters, if not the only one who can do this. Now when I first started doing it, I was like oh this is pretty useless, but I've started thinking of using it as a mindgame-ish move. Let's say your getting pressured by Fox, so you decide to retreat, you run away and the Fox chases, now you turn around and start this laggy run, the Fox sees this, and tries to capitalize on it, he does an airial and then you dash back at full speed, he misses, and you do a pivot smash. End of story. So can I get any other Pika's to look up into this since I wont play till Monday.
And if theres any other uses for this Pika "fakeout" it would be awesome to hear.
I know it's probably not some new discovery, but I've yet to see it used at all in any matches.

This is what's up run start to turn WD up into up-smash that and SH at them 2nd jump back to jolt FF for a nice mindgame mix up and a free 10% and making them 2nd geuss themselfs.

Yeah, axe is really inspiring. Having played really inconsistent at Apex with my Top/high tiers, and relatively consistent with low tier..I am going to play characters I feel comfortable with, and Pikachu is one of those.

Hopefully I can soon upload some videos of me playing...and losing =]

Well sorta sucks that Pika's moonwalk jump is pretty much useless =w= but the usmash might work :3

are we so different? you wasted a chance to post something amazing and a few secs of your life. also did you think about my post? I said pikachu sucks it's true also what do you think i'm looking for in a charcter? I want speed, a solid sheild with grab range that doesn't make me feel sad about missing when they are just standing there.

I want a great recovery and an up-B to be flexible to everything. pikachu's isn't not on stage.

pikachu isn't by any means what I want I don't want a grab range of me trying to hug myself, nor do I want a bad sheild, I want to combo with down-B at least sometimes. I want less lag more defense, more options with up-B. Pikachu sucks and is totally unless to me and how I play.

I abuse mindgames and pikachu doesn't feel as solid as pichu in that manner.

again think with logic why do I post _____________________, do I have no reason like vuyvayrv or is it beyond just random letters?

I don't rememeber EVER posting anywhere that pichu doesn't suck. Maybe not as much as you think but never have I said he is good. I've said things about him are amazing like his up-B /jolt but that's compared to himself.

Also we all know I don't know how to troll if I did the kirby boards would have been destroyed by now. Same for ness.


but I have a question with good jolt spacing how can they punish you? my brother can't shine it back or anything most of the time. if he shines it, it goes straight up and he's stuck in lag and lets me get a grab.
