DB counts as 4 seperate moves, so after you use is twice dancing blade had been you last 8 moves. This makes it very stale but, i think the decay system is based on 9 moves. Therfore making it slightly more stale after using it 3 times.

Yeah but if if it counts as a separate move, then that means you actually use each move only once, so using it twice already stales it? While others don't stale as quick?

Think of it this way, you only have to use db twice to practically refresh ALL of your other moves minus one that suffers from next to no decay.

My question is why does Pierce7d have metaknight as his avatar...?

jkjk :p

My REAL question is I read somewhere in the marth threads that after using DB twice the damage reaches its lowest...is this true??
I mained MK when the game first came out. I played a lot of characters in Melee, but ended with Marth, and brought him with me to Brawl as my secondary. However, I've long loved MK, and he looked so badass in this game, that I mained him on release. However, he was too good, and his playstyle didn't appear to me. Marth still looked more fluid, even if less dominating, and that style appears to me now. I rarely play MK at all now, but I still love him, and my Metaknight is still badass, it's just that nobody knows.

Lol pierce, and i was wondering do any of you cancel y0ur roll up from the ledge into an upb, because its very good as a gtfo move so you don't reset the ledge situation.

Never have, or will I do this. Roll lag is punishable, but okay if your opponent is foolish. Dolphin Slash is more punishable, why would I use my most punishable move in such a risky way. Try utilizing your jab, if you feel you need a quick attack.

With good spacing, that's like a free hit, right? I was playing with someone who would constantly do that, it's not as effective as he hoped it would be, I got a few tippers and killed him because I was far back enough, he couldn't hit me with his up B.

i only use it if the opponent is crowding the ledge and only on bf do i use it and i utilise the platform above the ledge.
IIRC, you always use ledge attack. You DEFINITELY need to mix up your recovery options. I'll hopefully be able to put up like 4 vids a day if everything works out, from here on out. I've got tons of replays.

OH SNAP: You told me you sent me a replay, didn't you? I haven't cut on my wii in near a week (school started). I'll try to get to that tonight.

Absolutely. I stand about Tipper Fsmash to RD distance away when an opponent is hanging on the ledge. I favor Usmash as my punisher for people that like to roll onto the stage, though you really have a plethora of options. Try a reverse Utilt for an awkward yet gimp trajectory sometime.

So. Is DB DOWN combo viable as an edgeguard when they've already grabbed the ledge?

As in you space DB DOWN (4rth) just so that it just off the stage. So that all returns get interrupted by the 4rth?

I have a question for real lol. My old controller just broke (an hour ago) and I had to buy a new one. I fail hard with it <_<

I cant even run when I want to, I usually c-stick aerials but sometimes I want to use the control stick, when I want to fair, itll nair. Its cause the old controller stick was weaker and Im wondering what exactly can help and did this happen to anyone else lol.

That is very weird... I don't really know, I'd suggest you return it and get another and see if the same problem happens.
It might be just me, I mean, I tap the control stick to the right...and Marth walks.

When I use the other controller and do the exact same thing he runs. But the other controller's c-stick is done for, so Im screwed lol.

Nothing you can really do besides playing with it more. It takes time before a controller will start to respond the way u are used to.

Edit: Basically you are "breaking it in" If you play baseball you should know how new gloves are very hard to catch with b/c they are so stiff, so you have to break them in by using them constantly.

Did you reset the controller after you detected the problem?
Im still not sure if there is a problem. I mean, I can feel a difference in the feel of the control sticks, I think I have to just get used to it. But what do you mean reset the controller? (Hold x + y and start?)

The main problem is that if I try to run, I walk. If I try to up b out of my shield, it doesnt work and my shield just angles up.

I actually like my controllers stiff...

Too bad I can't afford new controllers every month then sanitize my old ones and sell them on eBay. <_<

Words cannont describe how the astronomically epic level of fail achieved by gamestop controllers. They fail, and they FAIL hard. (unfortunately, i cant find any gamecube controllers where i live :( ) Nintendo needs to stop screwin around and start making white gamecube-like controllers for the wii.....and no, classsic controllers dont count.

Good ZMT. I've had my controller for like 4 years plus I bought it used 4 years ago so I'm guessing it's 5-6 years old and it is not broken. I would be crushed if it broke, I need to name it, got any ideas?
