Nice post about the Quickdraw, Kirk.
I knew most of that stuff, except when your opponent misses a tech. I never really thought about that before... And as I'm writing this post, I LITERALLY just thought of this... What if the opponent is on the edge? If you're far enough away and start charging it, their options are severely limited... Either they: drop down and then regrab the ledge, do a ledge attack, ledgehop a move, roll up from the ledge, stand up from the ledge, or jump from the ledge.
If they drop down and regrab the ledge, that'll just... Do nothing, basically... xD You can charge Quickdraw forever.
If they do a ledge attack... They get a charged quickdraw to the face. :D
If they ledge hop an aerial, most of the time they'll get hit by quickdraw... However, some characters have projectiles they might be able to stop you with... Even then, sometimes you can reach them (depending on the character/projectile) before their projectile comes out... xD
If they roll up from the ledge, and you're far enough away, I believe it's possible to hit them with the quickdraw once it's finished... I could be wrong though, I haven't been playing Brawl very often lately...
If they stand up from the ledge... You might be able to quickdraw them, but I'm not sure if you can reach them before they can react (someone else will have to answer this one)... But even if you can't reach them in time, if they decide stand up from the ledge, and you're charging a quickdraw, they'll usually shield immediately. This is where Kirk's "Charge it for no reason..." idea also will come into play... xD
Now this is the one I'm most uncertain about... If they decide to jump, I'm not entirely sure what you can do... You MIGHT be able to counter react in some way, but I'm not really sure... Perhaps you can jump after them and reach with a fair... Maybe you can Qucikdraw in the opposite direction, and make them use their second jump, or punish their landing lag or something... I dunno. Someone else will have to explain this one too...
So yeah, just so you all know, like I said before, I haven't been playing Brawl a lot lately, so I'm not 100% SURE everything I've said above is entirely correct... ^_^;; Also, feel free to go into further detail or correct me on anything I've said in this post... =P
Also, on a side note:
EDIT: Added colors to my post, cuz I'm bored. xD
Great posts, as always. :D
