lolz my girlfriends younger brother told me that some junior at his school was talking about how scared he was at playing me in smash because I was so good. He didn't know the guys name though just thought it was funny.

it was fun. the lines at the consoles were stupid, they had like 15+ people lining up for singles, and 12+ for FFA (4 for each player spot usually). I was staffing so I didn't actually see a whole lot of the con other than the AMV contest, the brawl tourney + console gaming, and the anime viewing rooms, all the panels that I wanted to see filled up before I could get in =(.
what I did get do do was extremely enjoyable since there were some really good players there, the crowds in the anime viewing room made the anime more hilarious (even when it wasn't supposed to be sometimes), the AMV contest blew me away and emo entries were at a minimum even in the drama department, and I also got in some really good brawl experience and I was the best kirby there!! (by default lol).

Announcements
1) If someone is willing to come to my house then drive to the venue I have (to transport T.V.s) then we can have it there. The location is two miles from my house and we can advertise there to get a bigger scene. Unless you guys prefer my house?
2) I discussed an idea with a few people that I think is pretty legit, because it gives different people a chance to win money AND it gives people two chances in a bracket tournament
No more time would be used because it would just replace pools
The same entry fee (so no bigger cost) gives you entrance to two tournaments, a regular tournament and a mk-banned tournament
where the pot is just split in some way.
I chose mk banned because it's just one change to a rule rather than a totally different game like brawl minus or many restrictions on characters such as low tier.
The main point of this is that it gives people more play time and chances to place and everyone takes it serious, as opposed to pools where some people (cough Kira) sandbag.
anyone except Duffy...thoughts?

Seems like for those who have a newfound chance to place with MKs banned but not in the normal tourney probably wouldn't have made $ at a normal tourney anyway, so they can't complain.
And if a person places in the MK-allowed tourney, there's no reason (beyond bracket placement (impartial)) why they shouldn't do well in the MK-banned tourney, so someone already able to place with MKs should still be able to win some bacon.
