Mission Statement: The purpose of this topic is to encourage tournament attendance and promote the competitive scene of brawl in Arizona by giving us more of a reason to practice, and for out of staters to know us more at regional and national tournaments.

HOW PLAYERS ARE RANKED
- Rankings are mainly determined by WHO they beat and lost to at tournaments in singles bracket, and their placings at tournaments.
- Has to attend at least 2 or more tournaments in the season.
- Recent tournaments have more of an impact than past tournaments.
- $5 MM or over counts as a set score for PR

darklink places 5th, 5th, and than 2nd and is 2nd on the power rankings thats a little odd in my opinion i dont care about my placing but this power ranking just looks a little bit off oh wellz

straight up man, i thought that you should be 2nd until we discussed it. main reason you weren't is cause you didn't go to grand challenge and because he beat you at last tourny but mainly for grand challenge. if you went to that, would've looked better for you. girlfriend johns suck :/

-I 3-0d you at our latest tournament (Recent tournament are taken more into account) with you not even going to grand challenge
- I ONLY lost to wobbles (3-5) at our latest tournament, and you LOST to Kira in winners bracket. So i only lost to the champion twice >.<
I had the second overall arizona placing at grand challenge (Both Wobbles and I BOTH lost to X and Yaz anyway so the placing was just bracket)
and some other little things we discussed

and actually i didnt take 5th, 5th, 2nd

I took 5th, ARIZONA 2nd, and 2nd

Its not mainly placings Justins...its WHO you beat and lost too, kira lost to jard in tournament recently

and if you look at duffy's tournament wins, you would know why he's 10th.

I KNOW I LOVE DEBATING
That why im giving you solid evidence. which you have yet to disprove/counter

we talked about it a little (as well as got input from socal) and a no metaknight tournament would mess a lot of things up in the higher AND lower levels of play here (as me and you use him and <insert AZ randoms here> use him too) so it wouldnt affect PR at all really. Brackets would be altered a lot.

For example: Say I lose to someone (from wobbles to hades or anyone) without my main and then that person beats <insert other MK user here> so his tournament results are higher because of that. PR is not a factor since the rules of this state and the game allow MK into play.

But also i guess if someone like bryce and wobbles play who dont use MK at all ever then PR could be a factor i assume

Thats just my reasoning too, does anyone else want to give some input on the proposed effect of a metaknight banned tournament?

I know Jard has a lot to say on that lol

and I dont know, its not just you beating me, lots of other things come into play too

and for the sentence you mentioned about it only affecting me, since you use metaknight for everyone good in this state but Kira, a MK-Banned tournament cannot affect you.

Justin, Its your MK thats ranked 3rd though mainly, since you use him at the farthest levels of the bracket. Against Jard and I mostly. which for you last tournament was loser semi's and loser's finals.

but yea remember thats its what character you use at the later parts of the bracket, not early on really.

To be fair though

1. Wobbles: You would use MK if you were trying to win
2. Me: MK
4. Jard: You've used MK more than DDD in your wins against him
5. Kira: You tried MK twice or more i believe.
6. Light: MK more

and you use MK in doubles when you need the win more. (But that doesnt really matter since its dubs, just throwing it out there)

Lol the reason you have more losses with metaknight is cause you use him more.
Kinda like, I have more losses with metaknight than i do with ganondorf

yea the main point of these rankings is to make the scene a lot more active which i hope it does!

Ill switch the two soon after i talk to jard and bryce
but yea your Snake is way better? I dunno why you go MK so much, you always say its cause you want to win easy but IMO it seems like MK loses it for you.
Honestly your snake gives me WAY more trouble

Just to clarify for everyone. The reason Jard was only snake is because
at foggle he went MK against wobbles once in MK dittos in rainbow cruise
at grand challenge he didnt use MK once
at excel he only used MK to two stock lonewolf. So therefore he doesnt even use MK at all

oh one more thing, are you finally content with your placing, i mean i did give some really strong points...Im just curious.

yea i know how you feel, tournaments are such a rush
but seriously your snake is legit. A lot better than your MK in my opinion
the only matchup i can see you going MK for is another snake/DDD/Falco, and even then you can stop procrastinating and learn the snake ditto matchup

but yea i think the way to get over that is just to get more tournament experience.

Like active gamers/grand challenge/ and Supercon made me realize a lot of that
