@Alu, I'm not gonna lie...Max has a point. Alex's events are successful in attendance because he hustles to get people to go. Viridian is a Brawl event but he's getting people from TX to go, and other OOS people even though it's a week after MLG and M2k/Ally isn't going he's still expecting a huge turnout. I'm not as good as he is at that but that's why we're a team :) I'm better at organizing behind the scenes and setting things in motion and he's good at bringing in everyone/running it.

I just think it's good to network with people and interest people to go. I'm not saying it's going to solve how EC Melee is right now but it does generally help to ask and get people interested in your event. It's actually why PA came to Saffron last time even though the attendance was still *** lol.

i totally agree with that but ! we still need people to want to attend not because someone asked them to =\

i just want to know who is interested as of now

Yeah, I didn't know a good way of getting to Saffron, but Crismas and Alex told me a way of getting there, which seemed simple, so I decided I'd go (with Kurt). Ultima Scout was there too lol.

Plus I wanted to know how Saffron city was like, we had to get our badges. : D

But yeah, I'm interested in Rom3, and so is Kurt, and so is my gf, and many other people.

But, it doesn't hurt to try to ask some people you wouldn't THINK would go. :p

Or just think of it as just "letting the person know" about it. LOL

i think its imperative that u do chase ppl and tell them about it. some ppl just need that reminder of how great the game is and stuff so someone simply saying hey lets go play some melee can have a domino effect and bring in multiples of ppl. i kno it sounds annoying and imo its not something u should have to do, but the act of doing it makes the difference.

think about the media today. just seeing a bill board or poster reminds u about something and influences u by reminding u about the way u feel about it. same wit melee. dis is the T.O. work will produce better turn outs. its a job

i agree ... and if u look at the time and place i'm in right now ... its sumthing i would like to receive from the community as well ... because rom is coming up atm and i also would like to have locals to practice up and take some rust off ... so we just all should be hyped and all "advertised" up from rom3 hype... i've imed people i've had prog do a million hype videos ... i'm sry that i can go to each and every one of u specifically to hype up a tournament ... i dont have that kind of time...

i've been hosting since august 08-11-2008, 03:23 PM .... that was the first post in the no johns thread ... seriously i've advertised soo much and done such huge moves for this game ... i dont ask for much LOL i've even given away money at numerous events out of my own pocket ... cmon son!

its a shame that my falcon will be beasting hadcore. Im talking pound3 cort status. For the rest of my smash career(however long that may be)I am out to truly prove that falcon is busted.

i am deadass trying to get back into smash. Alu you've known me since like 07 so dont give up. for real im actually putting together a crew of old/new smash players. we are all getting pretty good just need the tourney experience.

all i need is like one tv with like jman or vanz for like 15 min where they dont sandbag and i think i can be a top player in 3 weeks. im not saying everyone should go out of their way for me but you never know who is putting in mad work to get good.
