Not really..most locals they get 1 stream for all games and schedule around it.

To be fair at Major events it is 2 streams

one 2d
one 3d

sometimes it is one anime but if there is only one stream they don't demand another stream they just do it themselves.

Felt that part needed to be restated.

ya it's just that I have some friends that are trying to get more competitive the game and last year when I told them to watch the Apex stream since it's the biggest tournament of the year it was disappointing to them :/

well we did all we could and tbh there was hours upon upons of smash...I am not going to debate but people need to realize we cannot put everything on the stream...maybe it will be a little more clear/organized now but I'd say they should really realize that there were a lot fo matches on day 1- 2...infact that wAS all there was lol

but I understand to them they didnt see enough bracket matches THEY felt was worth it but it is a catch-22 in my eyes...but we made adjustments just so people can watch as much as possible but the way people act they feel that everything is stream worthy and it really isnt...I can talk on aim since it is easier but I wanna make it clear to everyone...cause I think none of you read what I wrote in the OP that we took a look at everything and made adjustments to the schedule and format...sad no one reads the OP ;_;

smahers can prove to be incredibly demanding but wont put in a lick of effort to help.
I know that feel TT_TT
Anyway, one of the UK smashers has a super discount for flight, so as soon as he gets back from germany we're all going to book together

I can't because of bills. My paychecks for all of October and November are going to credit card payments, phone, car repair, car insurance, gas, savings account, food.

I need to be certain I can register in December.

128 man bracket? Ok do people who lose in their pool continue their losses? Or do they start over fresh in new bracket with lower seedings?

They should not start over fresh. I'm going either way and this isn't a dealbreaker or anything, (I doubt many people will care) but I'm just saying it shouldn't

Exactly. Bracket pools are just one giant braxket broken down to more manageable size to run. The only reason they're even called pools is just to differentiate between when they combine with another part of the bracket

If it doesn't start over its not fair to the first two seeds of every pool..so pretty much half of the final bracket. Because people who get top 4 from losers of their first pool already have a loss. Then they start over fresh in the new bracket? That means they get 3 losses. While the people who were in winners side only get 2 losses, since they didn't lose in their pool

No matter if the player is better and gets higher seeding you can't sit there and say it should be that way that they get an additional loss in the entire tourney than others. You can say you like it that way bit you should not say that it should BE that way for any reason except personal opinion and nothing based on fact.

As my crewmate would say, STOP!

One big bracket is just dumb to have, I no whenever I travel to a regional/national I'd like to play as many people as I can and enjoy myself.

It's fair for the people to the first 2 seeds because they're getting better seeding, don't see what's so unfair about that. And sure I can say that it should be that reason, if they get another loss then they're getting a worse seeding, if they outplace someone with only 2 losses then they did better in a harder bracket, props to them.

Some people should not have more losses than others when a bracket is involved. It's simple but its also the entire point

You get your games in through friendlies and money matches. Tourney matches are not the time to get maximum games in. Tourney matches are the time to test skill.

My tourney was bracket pools and it seemed to be just fine. if people bring enough setups for the tourney itself to run well (32 setups for each game), anything over that can be perma friendlies and not affect tourney schedule

Right and I would want to test my skill as much as possible against as many people as possible. I didn't like the format of your tournament at all ( I still enjoyed myself a log though). I don't mind bracket pools at all for large events, they need to get done on time and that's understandable, but you should at least be resetting the records once it gets to main bracket.

There's really no reason why I shouldn't be able to come to Apex this year. I'm gonna look into it.

Agree to disagree.

Look at the last 3 apex. Round robin pools. You could make final brake with five loses and then still get into a double elim bracket.

If its not going to reset into a brand new bracket, don't call it pools.

yea of course when its round robin or swiss, some people will have more losses

but when its bracket pools...no. Bracket pools arent actually pools. They're just split up into sections that people call pools cause people are used to the terminology already

I just want people to admit its unfair but they like it that way. Cause im about to logically **** on people who say its logically correct to reset the bracket

I'm going either way, like i said before, and a player of my level benefits from having more losses to work with since im not a top player....but I still recognize faulty reasoning when I see it

I prefer a bracket reset. but i dont mind one long bracket as long as you dont call the early rounds pools. i dont really think its a matter of fairness.
