This is generally the sentiment of players who either don't main Marth, or don't play him at all. A tipper can kill Peach much earlier than 200%, but in the overall flow of most floaty matchups, fsmashing is a risk that usually favors the floaty character over Marth. In general, since 2007 the Marth metagame has actually shifted towards fsmashing less, but choosing better opportunities to do it. The Moon is an exception.

Fsmash is risky. I agree with PP's decisions of going for the safer option.

the problem is that PP never f-smashed while armada was using his parasol. It's not a risk at those times because armada has no options at that point.

He also should've done them when he baited some of armada's airdodges, instead of doing f-air at like 170%+ (especially the intentionally sour-spot ones).

Aside from that he did a really great job of not f-smashing.

this just cements armada's place as the best player ever. PP played the matchup really cleverly, never letting armada touch the ground and never bothering with risks, played it better than anyone else could have. armada is just too good though, the matchup is horrible, it was being played perfectly and he was still winning comfortably in some of the games in both sets.
