I'm commuting but I believe there are a lot of people who live near the venue who are housing other people and there is a hotel relatively walking / short ride distance near the venue.

So this is very close to me (I go to rutgers). I was wondering to what extent it would be douchy if I entered in just to get a chance to play with you all. Or could I show up as a spectator and play some friendlies? Im not a beginner by any means but ive played a few smash fiends on galaxy and, well... wasnt pretty.

You have to pay 10 bucks to be a spectator. As far as playing friendlies, I'm not sure about that. Contact Alex Strife or post in the Apex thread. I think you might as well just enter the singles tournament since it's just 5 bucks.

I started to register, but then remembered I'm a 21 year old without a credit card cuz I don't like plastic lol (I have debit, but that didn't work). I wanted to avoid the price going up, but oh well. Guess I need a credit card now.

Idk what the problem is, I registered multiple people with my debit card.

64 doubles is gonna ****. It's so fun that you don't even get stressed if you lose.

I've tried if for the first time a few days ago and I was surprised how laggy that was. Really unplayable, everything was running at like 40 fps.

On console, dude. Teams lags on console.

I'm usually the most anti-lag person ever, but I've played a bunch of console teams recently and it seems kinda... bearable after a couple warm-up games.

How do you think that got through? Surely they test the game before shipping it off. Did they notice the lag in teams? Maybe they did and they thought it wasn't that much lag.

They obviously weren't very good at the game, so maybe they thought lag wouldn't make much difference.

Even the players I played with didn't even notice how slow it was -_-.

Oh and reborn should try to look up at what is going on before posting random cynical posts.

Even if they did notice the lag is there much they could do about it? I thought it was a problem with n64 processing capabilities.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's at the point where it's pushing the hardware's limits so there's really nothing you can do about it, unless they somehow optimized the game better (which they probably should have in those situations). Stuff like cutting out certain effects or textures in heavy load situations...

So if teams lags on a console and teams doesn't lag on an emulator, does it mean the emulator is going past than what the N64 can do? Or how can it run teams without lag but have singles run without any sort of fps change?

Yes. It may be emulating the N64's capabilities, but it's using more powerful hardware. Had the N64 been more powerful, it would run fine, too.

And I don't understand the last question.
