Z: i'd say people should be up at 9:45 the latest. myself and alan will actually be up about 9 to get the the rest of the stuff organised, and ben will organise people in the flat. Venue is open from 10, and doubles will start at 10:30 promptly (unless we get a hold up on registration)

I understand some people will question this seeding, but it is not final. Final seeds will be made on the day dependent on who turns up. Also It does sound ridiculous that Some people are incorrectly seeded, eg ogre, lord rust, davemans etc. but they haven't been to the most recent tournaments so I must favour people who have placed in the recent events. From what Ed has told me, some of SDB may not be coming, namely Jam, Wes and himself, so there will be room for people to move up, hence the backup seeds.

In spite of all this, I will try to make the pools as fair as possible.

nice seed list. looks realistic.

seeds are decided mainly on 3 factors.
1. tourney placing
2. general knowledge of skill level.
3. the last time we saw you play to your level

ive played you p.pro, you deserve to be on the seed list, but the last time i saw you was GT. for all we know youve not touched a pad since then lol.

imo kman should be at least bottom of high seeds but its been ages since we last saw him play.
more importantly it wont matter due to the flakers

On a more serious note, Craiigg should be reserve seed over Bullet Bill, no johns.

Its tough really but myself, BB and coey have placed 9th, where as AC anon is the 13th wonder of the world. putting that aside, i may have made a miscalculation for joe, since he placed 13th at GT and didn't pass pools at CHJ. This spot would probs go to Kman.

As for Craiigg over bulletbill, they've both placed equally, that is only 13th at CHJ. If craiigg has placed at GT then I will replace bullet bill with him but as it stands, they are only equal.

My opinions:

J03 needs to drop. Very far. Has placed twice since ever. AR2 - 13th. GT - 13th. Lord Rust, Geek, Anon, Ryan and Davemans have all placed higher and should be seeded above him.

P.Pro has not turned up to ANY UK tournament thus far and should not even be considered for seeding unless it comes down to the wire.

OGRE should be top seeded above VA (No offence VA, he's just placed higher more often)

Me? Not Top Seeded? My brother not seeded at all? Who came up with this list and what were they on at the time >.>? Aiko, it doesn't just sound rediculous that some people are incorrectly seeded, it IS rediculous >.>. I shouldn't have to scrape in to a Top Seed slot thanks to people flaking, seeing as how I'm better then half the Top Seeds listed there. Even on a skeleton of how Seeds will look, my placings in tournaments are better then VA's, so I have no idea how he was even considered for a Top Seed before me.

I've also placed better then Reacher at the last tournaments we were both at, and I trashed Euan the last time we played, so there's two more people I'd place me over, but people could argue that's just opinion and blah blah blah*is anticipating Euan's complaint xD*. I haven't been to the past two tournaments, I know, but Top Seeding VA over me is still bull**** o.o.

And not seeding Caleb at all? What the ever loving blue-eyed ****? He's placed 9th at every tournament he's been two bar two, where he placed 13th(Edster was a bad day for a lot of people, O.K xD?) and 5th and TNJ2. He's missed tournaments, like I have, but he's still flaked the same amount as Ed, if not less, and if I'm not mistaken ToS flaked the last tournament as well, and he's better then J03, so that's three I'd seed him over. Consistent placing + being better then most of the High Seeds + having flaked only a little more/as much as two of the other considered High Seeds = Caleb should be ****ing High Seeded, fact.

And I'd make my arguements longer and more detailed, but I have to go to work now >.>. I'll be back >:0!

Ogre- you would have been seeded over V.A. but your 3rd place at AR2 is getting old and theres been a lack of recent results because of you're absences. It's not even your fault but thats just how it is. V.A. placed 5th at CHJ and that can't be ignored.

meh, too much arguement over the backup seeds . Tbh I wouldn't consider myself seed worthy anyway but it just depends at what happens (flakers etc). Aiko will obv try to make it as fair as possible. It's also why the seeds are being posted which helps as we can get more opinions on it.

But seriously Jake if youd have read the last few pages youd realise your gonna get your top seed anyway seen as how Jam actually doesnt want to come to this and unless you can fly Wes from Atlanta then he is also out. I can understand why youd be annoyed but to be fair to aiko you havent been to a tourney for 6-7 months which i understand isnt exactly your fault but it's still quite a while. But regardless im sure you will get your top seed making everything you and i have said completely irrelevant anyway.

Jake - Im happy for you to argue that you should be placed in the top lot, I argree that you should be over phil and euan. However, to say that caleb should be placed over me is an absolute joke. Your brother has never came near to breaking into the top five of the UK while I have done it or have always been there about. We have attended similar amounts of tournaments so whats your point? im plain BETTER than him.

Regardless I can tell you aiko that Wes is in atlanta for three weeks and IS definetly not making this. Id leave jam in there for now though, he always leaves things last minute even though currently he is saying he wont be making this. Im also very unlikely to be at this, so im happy being left in or taken off either way. Seedings are irrelevant largely till the day anyway. Probsbest just leaving the current skeleton youve got, albeit removing wes, and then tweaking it on tourney day.

the reason im high seed above most people is because aiko and alan play me lots lol, they know full well my skill level because of that. ogre and caleb, the scene has advanced since you last played anyone, get used to it imo. same to others this applies to

Basically by not seeding me you are making people flake, because by law i must come 13th, there cant be anyone better than me in my pool, therefore if i am not seeded anyone who is better than me must flake so I am seeded and get through pools

on a serious note someone needs to one day work out the proper criteria for how people are seeded as there seems to be a lot of difference of opinion, last time i wasnt originally seeded because i had missed 2 (really really far away) tournaments and people who had never proved themselves to be any better were seeded above, this time I (possibly) outrank a couple of the seeds even if they are better than me, now i dont mind not being seeded but id like the reasons for me not being seeded to at least be consistant, this also applies to other people.

however as there will be flakes it probably wont matter anyway, i just wanted to look intelligent

and i made an amazing post just before joe then smashboards died and it didnt get posted now iv forgotten what i was going to say

jake: i have no doubt in your skill. the only reason youve dropped is because of the last 2 tournaments. you don't need to prove anything to me with your rant. In fact, why should you worry about being seeded? you know you'll get past pools anyway.

And yes i have made a mistake with joe. I did forget he didn't get out of pools at CHJ

I think anyone placing 9th or above within the last 2-3 tournaments would qualify for seeding above you.

Well. Whining aside. I look forwards to a tournament where I don't have to sacrifice a goat in order to make travel work. I have all our tickets/time off work/every possible thing booked a few weeks ago.

Furthermore - amen to Ed being better than me. Not only is he just that, he plays peach to boot. soyeah. dittos directly equate to a huge lump of fail. =\ The point I believe my darling brother was trying to make was that certain positions were argued by how people have placed recently/flaking/blahblahcrap. tbh, I'm just glad I havent got a chance of playing you in pools. =)

B) Seen play 1 match
C) Not seen play in 6 or so months

True you came 3rd, but I got seeded at that tournament because a lot of people flaked, there wasn't the best of turn outs, no charles, no johns.
