Zero raged at something that isn't from Street Fighter?

and nah no porn sites, I just can't find any good or original pictures of Heart Aino. I think I'm not looking hard enough.

Oh and Funsies Fact

Hunstville has considered it, Reflex and his little southern crew has considered it. Ryker and Mobile will be there, Billy and his friends will be there. The usual Birmingham crew will be there. So we're pretty much looking at a lot more than 10 people.

Oh not to mention those AiB guys, this may turn out like George's latest Gamebox tournament.

As an aside, "his little southern crew" can just be considered Columbus, really, and at least Billy and Calvin will be with me.

You're ********.

I can't stand you and Slam constantly belittling every tournament in Alabama not hosted by George. It's ******** and though you might think it's funny or something, all you're doing is killing the hype and killing the tournament. If you think a tournament isn't going to have a great turnout just STFU and don't post about it having a low turnout because, in the end, you are factor in why a tournament is what you claim.
/rage quit.
the reason the Alabama brawl scene is lacking is because our scene consists of teenagers with consistent parent johns and scrubs who "don't want to give their money to reflex/will/George/etc" not because of anything I or slam ever posted. And Bham tournaments always have a decent turnout EXCEPT for the ensley ones, which Is what I am referring to in my post. And that is bc they historically fail to hype or advertise their tournaments. Again nothing to do with me or slam. I call it how it is. If u want to live In a fantasy land where Alabama is some sort of brawl Mecca and not a land of johns and apathy , be my guest

lol@Zhero.
It's troo tho.
OoSers visit our thread sometimes and if they see you're not concerned with your own tourney then it's prolly not worth it for them to make the trip.
:/

@Mattouto
If you can find someone who will meet me halfway from NC-Al, I will drive up there Fri morning and we'll be back that night.

Ask dad...maybe he will. We can meet in SC or something.

Also I'm interested to see a post of mine where I "belittle" any Alabama tournament besides the ensley ones. (which are always poorly attended)

Janitor, you are still a factor. I'm not saying you are the sole reason, but apparently you can't understand implied logic.

People who anti-hype tournaments are one of the reasons tournaments lose hype. IT MAKES SENSE

I've seen people say anti-hype about FAP, about Ensley (and yeah, they sucked at advertising and scheduling for some time), about... idk what else, but it just irks me and I suddenly lashed at you.

whatever

If the hype for your tournament is undermined by one or two posts by one or two people. Trust me you've got much bigger problems

A Florida player could hit a thread and "anti hype" for 3 pages and it wouldn't kill the hype one bit bc they're community is not full of johns and laziness

God, why can't you just say, "Yeah, I guess you're kinda right, I'll look out for that," instead of defending yourself for something wrong.

Don't take this personally just because my post sounds angry.

Possibilities are called such because they are just that. Possibilities.

wat

I did plenty of advertising for FAP, and how did my schedule suck. I'm doing the same for FAP2 also.

I can't improve the tournament if no one gives me feedback (Which I have asked for in the past).

If that comment was directed at just Ensley, then I wouldn't know about it because I haven't been to an Ensley tournament.

no one even reads my posts dude.
and yeah that is a myth that posting bad about a tourney can ruin it. like... no one reads posts.

these tournaments suck bc you guys are kids like janitor said. and bc u like to have shenanigan tourneys instead of real ones.
if its not AUsum TCS or Gamebox it's gonna suck.
thats just the way it always turns out. dont scape goat the AL trolls for this.

and janitor is not saying that youre kinda right... bc you arent even kinda right, zero.

start treating smash legitly and be serious about a SMASH scene, i repaet a SMASH scene and you will get the attendance you long for. ppl arent willing to commit to something that isnt all that serious, like your tourneys.

w00t for misunderstandings. I was talking about Ensley.

STFU Mike.

STFU Slam. I could turn that post right back around at you. "Treat Smash legitly," LOL, coming from someone defending not treating it so.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS POSSIBILITIES. NO WAY.

Hype builds tournaments.
Anti-hype could hinder tournaments.

I love that you listed "alcohol induced vomit experience" as an accomplishment. Lmao, sounds cool.

Thank you, Mr. G.

Come to FAP2 <3
Mike's just trollin'. He doesn't go to tournaments... serious face :glare:

Suck my big, black, humongous, hairy ****; and I mean that in the nicest, least offensive manner possible :awesome:
:glare:

Your logic in the 'sized' area is stupid.
United we stand, divided we fall.
Alabama can't fathom this idea. The only thing that is fathomable to Alabamian smashers is posting continuously about drugs, match ups, and how Al tourneys suck my **** so hard bc the 'hero smashers' didn't throw it. Fan boys need to step up and do some work instead of *****ing about others' tournaments.

Organizing a tournament in any setting is difficult. Especially if you decide to have one in an apt BC IT'S ONE OF YOUR FIRSTS. Just bc one/a few tourneys were 'poorly' run doesn't mean they all will be.

You parade rainers are ridiculous in your negativity and bias towards tournament organizers. Grow the **** up and take it into your own hands...at least there are some people who care about the game enough to attempt to build the community.

Your negative overtones in ALMOST EVERY SINGLE POST brings everyone down, imo. I read a few things about 'teenagers' and 'little kids getting money taken' are you referring to yourselves? Bc it seems like that may be the reasons you don't show up but then choose to **** all over tournaments.

Just saiyan!

*seriousface to the millionth degree :glare:

*trollface infinite :awesome:
You can choose which one I'm doing and run with it.

btw I just beat earthbound. Gonna be real and say that game is overhyped for the notoriety it gets, yet it is still a worthy traditional jrpg.

idk im jus sayin when a waba is gonna have low attendance/ be a real downer of a tourney ppl are like "nah dude you should wait and go to the next one cuz this one is gonna suck" its obvious when a tourney is gonna suck and we are just bystanders commenting on it. we arent part of your tourney. that is organized by you.

and wut? i take smash seriously. i dont take forum boards and chat rooms seriously. theres a big difference that sum ppl cant distinguish. man how many times have i said this? p much all smashers over the age of 14 dont care about what the ppl on the forums say. i firmly beilieve that is fact. i feel like i can act like a little kid on here cuz no one is dumb enough to say "oh man that shaslam guy doesnt like this tourney i shouldnt either!" or at least no one that matters will say this. never never never in a century. not my fault if some random kid like idolizes me or something and holds my opnions in the highest regard. thad be sweet though. hed be ****ed.

and yeah i dont show up to some tourneys bc... wait... i never dont show up to AL tourneys. i do lie alot about Oos though lol

i just wanna look legit about dat Oos stuff guyz :p

Have you played Mother 3? It's the only game in the series that I've played, but I thought it was a masterpiece that deserved every bit of praise it got.

It's also POSSIBLE that the next time I drop a ball it will fall upward. The mere possibility of something doesn't meant it likely or worth discussion.
I'm not going to say you might be right when your just kind of obviously wrong.
I don't thin anything in the history of man has ever been improved without someone criticizing it

If we unite under a scrubby and misguided mindset we still fall...and I dunno how slam and I could be referring to ourselves, slam consistently drives 45 minutes or more to attend tournaments where he rarely wins money . I stopped going to tourneys for a while bc the game was frustrating me and I had other things going on. But I started back and plan to attend any tournament I can get off for. I mean im not worried about Alabama for real bc of hard headed posts like these. U guys get panny bunched over criticism but continue to be lazy about our scene. Not all of u. Honestly most of the ppl who post in this thread are not who I'm talking about so I shouldn't say "u guys". But I'm currently interested in the scene as a whole and also possibly taking you guys money one day <3

I'm never going to be interested in a tourney at someone's apartment again. Those don't tend to go well. Someone inevitably gets put into a closet with a single light fixture dangling from the ceiling, the TV wedged in a corner next to the water heater, both players share a beanbag chair while trying to adjust the black and white TV. You cannot escape the feeling that winning the match will get you shanked during the lunch hour.

As the gravity of your situation sets in, an epiphany dawns on you. There are fifteen people in this enclosed space with you that have not showered since last it rained. As you break down and begin weeping into your outstretched hands, your opponent shifts uncomfortably in his beanbag chair. He farted.

I think tournaments get more attendance when more people say they are going. It's like a snowball effect. "What, so-and-so is going? Now, I have to go." It also helps when you have a really good venue, because people remember that they liked the venue and would want to brawl there again. Last thing I really think affects tournament attendance is driving distance and availability of carpools. There might be a better way to get the word out on who's driving to a tournament (like, maybe you could post it in the OP).

Although I don't think Janitor or Slam's pessimistic attitudes do anything to help the brawl scene, I really don't think they are hindering it either.

It'd be great if a tourney could be run professionally instead of by the seat of its ill-fitting pants. I have never seen a tourney start on time or end on time.

Let me put it this way: if I had an employee that was like a Smash Tourney, I would fire that lazy son of a *****. I will not travel to go to a tourney until they start being run with at least the standards of a minimum wage fry cook.

I don't think any tournament has been ran on time, even large professional ones.

You have to factor in people not being there for matches at certain times, lack of setups etc.

My Melee tournament was hosted without trouble; though, to be fair, I specifically said "be there by 11 AM" because I really wanted people to show up by noon. More people should start doing that.

Yo munkus let's get some team games going on sc2. I finally hit diamond league a while back.

I originally wasn't going to, but after watching this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufR3Uu1TWJ0

I decided I would. Next game on my list is Secret of Mana, tho.
Some girl as a Diablo 3 Monk that basically looked like a Kingdom Hearts cosplay. Except for Duchock's guildie, all the top costumes were worn by hot chicks. Biased system.
Lame. Sounds like a marketing ploy tbh.

Note: melee

Melee tournaments often started late bc of logistical/technical issues. Brawl tournaments start late bc brawl players don't ****ing show up on time.
At each of my tcs tourneys I said sign ups start at 9, tourney starts at 11. *****s would show up at 130. Wtf
