It also didnt help that i believed hungry and zoro had something against me. After hard knocks (where i was being insulted during my fight against Dguy), forum posts, and **** i heard from other people i was sure that WATO just didnt like me. But after this gigs i got alot of respect for you and Hbox (especially for the amazing comeback in doubles).

That show is funny as hell, but in no way is it an authority on social issues. That is a very hurtful word, and racism does not always take the form of one person hating another person. Just because you only mean to offend or hate one person, you may end up hurting or offending more people. One must be held accountable for all of his or her words or actions. There is nothing i could ever say in this thread that could make non blacks feel as bad as i do when i see it tossed around so casually. I'm not condoning either behaviors, but the racism is racism. Ignorant people don't need any special racial slur. they're just ignorant people.

Simple as that.


Anyways back to the topic at hand. I was already planning a melee so no vote necessary, but I am glad so many people want one :D

As i said before racism is not necessarily a physical portrayal of hatred (ie burning a cross) like one person hating another, but it could be the perpetuation or belief of a stereotype that leads to discrimination or prejudice. One person's actions should only represent one person....THAT PERSON.

Ok, so I'm really late in posting this but whatever. This was my 2nd actual tournament and I had fun. I went by the name of 'Sensei'. I didn't know too many people there, so only a few shoutouts.

Retro Gamer - good matches. funny that we fought really early in the day and then fought in the first round of our bracket. awesome kirby.
Afro - Good job taking first in both doubles and singles.
Hiroshi - You are an awesome player and I enjoyed watching your matches. Would love to play you someday.
n3xus - One of the few people i knew before going there. don't be too hard on yourself when you lose, there's always the next tourney
Walnut - Awesome Mario dittos. Keep maining Mario and so will I.
Black Jinjo - Good, close matches. Pretty good Game and Watch. I'll implant the "I will not use fireballs" into my head so I don't screw myself over next time.

There's probably a few more, but I can't remember right now.

If the next tournament is melee, then I probably won't go because I'm too used to brawl now, and I was always just decent in melee. Good luck to everyone that goes though.

I dunno.
I've seen Chaddd and Xif do some pretty bad stuff from losing in melee.
Chaddd would get really pissed off and throw controllers out of 2 story windows.
Xif would usually get pissed off too.
Like really pissed off and curse people out.

I've seen a dude break his hand against a steel door from losing a match and ended up going to the hospital.
I've seen a guy punch a guy..

But brawl players are more calm from what i've seen. When someone loses, everyone is usually like "Oh well. Its JUST brawl. :|"

XIF and I get upset occasionally. (I was on 2 hours of sleep when I through my controller out the window and had just lost teams to my team mate, who in the last game of finals, killed himself 3 times in the first 10 seconds. It wasn't a good day.)

But Laijin doesn't need to get upset. That's what his john's are for. Laijin and his friends back here from Georgia have pioneered such johns as (I'm not making these up, I really wish I could make up stuff of this calibur):
