Doing some side-by-side testing with Yoshi.

So far I've noticed Neutral-B comes out slower. (should be easy to prove for video-taking people).

Edit: Increased landing lag on D-air.

Edit again: BIG NERF- Increased end-lag on dash attack.

Greninja has been nerfed significantly, seems to have been hit the hardest of any character so far. Tested these changes using my updated game and my friend's version 1.0.3 side by side.

- Up Smash has significantly more ending lag, he puts the swords away now, Up Smash -> Uair no longer works.
- Uair spiking is no longer possible, and people fall out of Uair before the final hit a LOT now.
- Uair deals less knockback.
- Shuriken has more ending lag at any level of charge.
- Hydro Pump basically doesn't push airborne foes at all now.
- Shadow Sneak can no longer be used to cancel landing lag, more of a bug fix that happens to be a nerf.

Also something has definitely changed about running Up Smash with every character, can't put my finger on it but it's way harder to do now if you have Tap Jump off.

Pikachu B-air doesn't bring down the opponent with him anymore. Harder to setup gimps with B-air.

I've lurked (as usual) several hours on the patch related threads and made a lil patch note on Reddit, here's the quote :

Stuff that looks untouched :
-Rolls (:/)
-Shields
-Sonic, Pit, Dark Pit, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Donkey Dong, Peach, Palutena (will edit later)

Bugs :
-Bomb canceling fixed
-Turnip canceling fixed
-Yoshi teleport fixed
-Wectoring fixed
-Greninja's Dair cancel fixed
-Hyper Rollout fixed
-Villager's rocket kill on the ledge fixed

Bowser :
-Bowsercide = Bowser dies first -Fsmash deals 2% less damages, meaning that Dedede/Ganondorf now have the most powerful Smash in the game.
-Down tilt's second hit is harder to connect

Rosalina :
-Luma timer increased to 13 seconds
-Nair deals less damage, less kb as well
-Neutral B's distance covered has been lowered (Which is, in fact, a buff, that **** was hard to land properly.)
-Luma comes back faster

Ness :
-Down Throw nerfed from 9% to 7% (;_;)
-It now does the correct amount of damages on G&W

Marth :
-Looks like his Dthrow/Fthrow give more followups. (**** yes)

Lucina :
-Looks like her Dthrow/Fthrow g-oh wait I just said that two lines ago

Ike :
-Ike's Fair is significantly faster
-Looks like it can autocancel as well
-His Nair comes a bit quicker
-Jab looks fixed so all 3 attacks connect properly
-Ending lag on his Ftilt and Dtilt reduced

Toon Link:

-Speed's damage penalty lowered

Little Mac :
-Jab does less damages
-KO Punch got buffed, KOes earlier (Somebody on Smashboards calced : It used to ko Jigs at 19% with vectoring, now it kills at 13%)

Falco :
-Blaster comes out quicker
-Our prayers got answered ! Dair looks faster. (Not instant but still quite fast now.)

Sheik :
-Looks like needles now have some ending lag to em
-Down B has less knockback
-Uair has less knockback
-Fair deals less damages

Zero Suit Samus :
-Side B now connects properly
-Air Dodge's landing lag standardized to the usual 22 frames
-Neutral B has more ending lag
-Neutral B quick shot has less range

Greninja :
-More lag on Usmash

Olimar :
-Pikmin Toss does more damages

Pacman :
-Hydrant got sturdier to the point Pacman's back-air can't send it flying

Mr Game & Watch :
-Thunder no longer completely fills Oil Panic's bucket

King Dedede :
-Down Throw now sends upward
-Dededecide kills Dedede first now

Zelda :
-Up tilt does 1% more damage
-Looks like Din's Fire has less ending lag to it

Ganondorf :
-Looks like Nair has less lag

Megaman :
-Looks like Leaf Shield throws out faster

Meta Knight :
-Nair deals more damages
-Down B sends more horizontally, allowing for earlier KOs
-Fthrow damages fixed
-Bthrow has a tiny bit more knockback
-Rejoice ! Bair KOs about ~25% earlier ! MK has a ko move eveybody !

Kirby :
-Foot based attacks have a bigger hitbox, kind of like Yoshi's tail attacks.
-Kirbycide kills Kirby first
-Looks like he's faster
-Nair has more lag ?
-Uair faster
-Upsmash has a sourspot

Luigi :
-Fsmash deals more damages

Mario :
-Utilt deals less damages

Wii Fit Trainer :
-Looks like Nair deals less damages, need confirmation on that one
-Air Dodge's landing lag standardized to the usual 22 frames
-Uair deals more damages

Pikachu :
-More knockback on Fsmash, Side B and Down B

Wario :
-No longer has that troublesome release animation so some characters can't combo him as easily as before

Link :
-Fsmash's second hit connects more easily

I've verified most of the stuff in it, but there are some things I didn't check, so feel free to use it.

I'll check if Yoshi and Rob are changed, I'll keep you informed.

These are all impressions that need confirmation:

Falco:

Fast firebird feel like it has longer startup now. Could be wrong.

Dthrow-fair feels super easy to pull off now, not sure if it was a true combo before.

No other visible changes. Maybe more damage on nair.

Well, I verified the damages changes by myself, since I'm a bit dumb I just trusted stuff I've read around here when it came to knockback/frame datas.

Pretty sure Lucina's throws do 1% more damage now. (forward throw used to do 3% now does 4%)
Most of her moves ranges though look unchanged to me.

Is that scenario where Villager can steal your gyro/bike/banana etc. and keep you from using them until he dies still a thing?

Fair losing the gimping sucks... guess it was kinda cheesy against a lot of characters.
yeah, single hits don't spike on it anymore.

Seems like multi hit moves that had spiking properties have been tuned out a lot?

Also not seeing laser being that much faster, but eh, probably could be 10 frames shorter, it was still horrendous.

Could see down air being a tad bit faster too.
Fair still sucks you in. It may be reduced but its still doing it for me. Gimps still work.

Im not so sure about that, but the fully charged phantom slash only hits once now. It can also slide right through characters so you have to decide how long to hold it for.

Is this true for Marth as well, or have you not tested? I think most range changes may be placebo as well.

5.5% actually. Shows up as 5 damage on the top in training, totals to 55% after 10 of them.

My condolences.

Another bug that was fixed was how if you counter'd with Marth/Lucina after getting replaced on the ledge, you would be sent into oblivion for some reason.

That got fixed this patch.

I can confirm Wario grab release is fixed. His grab break is a long horizontal one now.

I think hydrant HP was increased. I just did 12% to it (raw) and it survived.

Samus jab seems nerfed. In my memory jab 1 and 2 inky cinnected st high %s. Both hits no longer seem to connect at high %s, the first jab has a lot more horizontal knockback. Good for getting opponents offstage and low but jab 2 will never combo from it anymore, unless your opponent is in the 70-80 range maaaybe.

Dont think it worked like this before, but I could be wrong as I learnt to barely use it

I've tested a few things on my main (Lucario)
I'll try and upload a video soon, but here it is:

F-Throw 5% from 6% (at 0%)
Down smash has more lag to shield.
Forward smash has more lag to shield.
Aura Sphere has VERY slightly more KO (Killed Mario at 106% vs 107% on old patch)

Falcon's side-B in the air seems to have more range now, I could be wrong. I've SD'd so many times trying to side-B back on stage but I haven't all day. If anyone has access to both versions, can someone test?

I cant confirm this, but I believe you can cancel Dedede's up special much earlier now. I think you used to only be able to cancel it on your way down, but now it can be canceled on his way up.

I just tested out her Dair in both versions, and they seem completely identical.

I just tested it out in both versions. It now deals 1% less damage.

Unless you're talking about his Rising Dedede variant, no, you could always cancel Super Dedede Jump early.
If it's the former, that'd be a very interesting buff.
