D-tilt cannot spike but u-air can serve as a low knockback semi-spike. Pikachu can't truly spike but is still one of the best edgeguarders in the game if you know how to use that thunder. ;)

Its too weak. It can only gimp against bad recoveries like Link or Ike, but that's a stretch.

Trust me, it just doesn't work <_<.

I tried AAA combo edgeguard against a MK. Only got like 3 hits, and then after that I got an upB to the face. Moral of the story : Don't do it against MK.

I've never tried AAA combo to thunder b4.

I just realized many attacks can stage spike if the opponent is hanging or near the edge. Many attacks that you wouldnt realize would spike. Test stuff out everyone.

Boom, I think that has more to do with the stage than the actual attack, although I do agree as I've experienced that myself.
I agree, but these stages are the stages that can benefit pikachu the most. I experienced stage spikes in Final Destination, Smashville, and Battlefield. What i found most wondrous is that i also experienced stage spikes in Corneria, the best stage for pikachu, and Luigi's mansion, his worst stage, but can give him a very slight plus in this stage.

But stage spiking is very situational, so meh...

Me like alot ^^. So which of his moves can do this stage spike? I'd guess thunder, dsmash and fsmash. I cannot play smash until Sunday... T-T

Maybe the thing that all these stages have in common is that they edge slopes backwards.

Or something like that.

I need to test more, but i forgot some of the attacks that spike. One spike that i found rather odd was a SH bair landing next to the edge and a utilt right above the edge. The dair also stage spikes, but on a specific frame.

Goodness, this accounts for many of Pika's moves.

Geez, we may need to test if the lower aimed ftilt spikes! O-o

*Sends Sundance _______________ on __________ Day,
I don't know if this one has already been said but here I go

Quick-Stomping

1. Jump up with pikachu into the air and then get to a point so that if you quick attack downwards, it will cancel into the ground.
2. Cancel quick-attack into the ground.
3. While doing this, hold down on the directional stick down the entire time.
4. Then, when ending, hit A so that you do a Dair into the ground while coming out of the quick-attack.
NOTE: Can be done diagonally into the ground.
(Sorry no video)

Yeah, that is very much known.
I'm fairly sure that's already on the list. Isn't it, Spark?
Btw, welcome back Spark :)

SS, K2 and 5ive want to clean the board, so if you really think this technique or trick is 100% legit, post a new thread. If you arent entirely sure, post it here and check if its already known or what...lol

well what are you waiting for! post it!

EDIT: Is it thunderpushing? If it is, it has already been discussed as a general "trick" instead just exclusively for pika.

I'll find you guys some more techniques as a Christmas present. ^_^
Lol, Spark, you love finding tricks don't you?

I've been messing around with doing rising thunders and trying to see how useful they are.... especially on stages with platforms.

I'm also trying to see if I can get a sliding thunder w/ T2. I could swear on my future grave that I did it once in training mode when I was testing different button configs, but I haven't been able to recreate it since. :(

If I find anything, I'll let you know.

Pikachu already knows Dive. (Jump out of water and quick attack underneath it at the same time) I'm surprised it's not up there.

I think I named a move Spark in my moveset discussion thread anyways. <_<
