I've beaten the game ~300 times, and I'm actually playing it atm, on Chapter 28x in HHM.

Sain has massive stat holes that keep him from being truly good, tbqh. Kent is significantly better. Sain's win in Str doesn't matter once Kent gets +5 Atk from supporting Lyn and Sain in the main game.

Kent's stats are far more well-rounded. Sain's problems in Res and Spd are never made up for with his supports, and his support with Sain offers 7 Hit at most to make a failed attempt at making up for his poor Hit.
Kent's stat "problems" are Str and Lck...both of which are totally negated by his supports. Lyn and Sain will give him +5 Atk and +25 Crit Evd, making his offense stupidly good and making his bad Lck not matter at all.
Sain struggles to find a second support partner for his B, while Kent does not at all. Sain's other partners are either horrible and almost never used or they have other partners. The supports also build very slowly. Luckily, A Kent is good enough for him.
Even with his flaws, Sain is still A tier at worst, since he's a Paladin with a lot of availability that supports with Kent.

It's Lyn's part of the game in easy mode... I mean... The enemies are so insanely weak that not much matters right now. In fact, it doesn't actually matter what you do until Hector's Hard Mode. You just don't want to get into bad habits.
What is the tactician's affinity? That gives up to +5 Hit and +5 Evd based on your tactician's ranking.
