Doom planked Dekar with 224-244 ledge grabs at the end of the game, but ended up losing the set due to stupid rules.( he can explain it if anybody cares) I thought the amount of ledge grabs was amazing so I had to post it here.

Basically, I won, but lost at the same time.

Before my match, Arturito Burrito said he got planked by a ROB and that there was no ledge grab limit. Game 3 (winners semis, seeding was done like ****), on Battlefield, I got a 1% lead and hit the ledge, only coming back onstage when I messed up my planking and lost the lead, only to kill him at 160ish. He lost his second stock trying to stage spike me and I timed him out with his 1 stock to my 3.

224 edge grabs at the end of the match.

After the match, he said that since they were running Pound 4's ruleset (only ever mentioned once before, during a stage dispute), there was a 70 ledge grab limit and that I lost the match.

I forfeited grand finals.

Even then, I'm still really salty/upset. There was no thread posted for the New Mexico tournament, and only ever one mention of anything from Pound 4 being used there (and it happened to be the stage list, "Pound 4 stages" was said but I don't recall "Pound 4 rules"). Furthermore, I was never formally notified before or during the match, so they were counting on me having word of mouth from both their own tournament and apparently Pound 4 too if there was an announcement made regarding the LGL during the tourney.

Is there a tourney thread in regional with the ruleset listed?

I quoted it and posted it in the New Mexico thread. I ctrl+F'd "edge grab" and "70", no results found. I then fully read the entire thing and there was no mention of it.

If there was a LGL at Pound, it was announced verbally. I was at the tournament, but not 24/7, and did not hear anything about it. I completely believe that it WAS announced, but I shouldn't have been counted on to know that beforehand. I'm not so salty about losing the match, since I did abuse a broken tactic, but I would have played very differently if I knew I could only use a third of the grabs that I did.

This wasn't a really professional tournament, Doom. It was never really meant to be. I only held it as a random tourney since you were coming down and people asked. I never even made a tourney thread. I'm sorry about the rules dispute D:, but you should have asked me, not other random players.

and lol nm brawl is dead.

It's fine. I don't really care about losing, like I said. I didn't even ask anyone, I was simply told. The bigger problem is that nobody said anything midmatch and Dekar knew beforehand.

dekar wasn't about to tell you to stop something that would result in him winning the game =/. it's douchey, but if you're playing competitively it's kind of the right thing to do.

I understand that. By the same token, it's also the right thing to inform someone of the rules, especially someone coming from far away. Anybody in the crowd watching could have told me. I don't think it was right to assume I knew the exact rules. Plus, had I asked someone, they'd likely warn Dekar of my plan to time him out, lol. Had I only known, I'd have done things way differently. 70 ledge grabs is enough for me to time someone out, and I wasn't conservative in the slightest about my grabbing. I literally dropped off, jumped, and grabbed instantly every time, without any effort to keep track.

On my part, I actually thought there wasn't an LGL. I never went to pound, and when Dekar was talking about it in NM, he said that LGLs didn't matter because Ksizzle only had 12 against him. I actually thought I was going to play you in WFs>>>

well

apparently even Dekar was wrong

ksizzle found the post made in the Pound 4 thread (it wasn't the front page post) that instated a 50 ledge grab limit, NOT 70. It also stated that the ledge grab limit didn't matter if the match didn't go to time. I HAD DEKAR AT 1 STOCK 0% WHEN I STILL HAD 3 STOCKS AND 3 MINUTES ON THE CLOCK. I could have used my THREE ****ING STOCKS to fight him and kill his last stock before time.

But you know, nobody wanted to see MK or OOS win, lol. Supporting your state's players is fine but seriously, not telling me the rules?

UFB wants to crew battle you guys. The only catch is that each crew cant use more than one player of the same character. They think they can easily beat you guys without all your MKs, but me on the other hand - well I've got $50 on you guys in a side bet.

How many members per team? 5v5? I guess its up to everyone else though, since im like one of the few in this crew who cant use mk.

Most people have Hakan on SRK in bottom in the tier thread.

Also, i'd solo that crew battle, dittoing their mains.
