Pika/Falco/maybe Wario?

Although we don't need a secondary... at all. Just learn the MUs and win regardless.

Diddy (thanks to CJ's guide) isn't that hard to deal with, but DDD is the real problem. CJ i read your guide and all, but i still have a really really hard time fighting D3. Like my friend mains Diddy and i beat him so he goes DDD who he doesn't even practice, and i get ****ed over half the time. Which characters are good against DDD? Right now, im practicing Snake but idk if he'll help.

If you're losing to DDD then he's outplaying you, your spacing is bad, you're jumping into his grab, or you're getting impatient. Post vids.

Honestly Marth's one of the characters you can solo main...diddy and ddd are the only ones who should be giving you trouble, and they are very winnable mus. Its not like a falco vs ice climbers situation.

In speaking of that, falco's good vs diddy.

alright, but i use a dazzle recording device and its broken, so once i fix that i'll have vids up. the main problem (besides the cg) is he inhales me, spits me out super far off the stage and it's really hard to get back. I gotta try a new mix-up every time. and if i immediately double jump out of the spit, he'll run forward and u-smash/u-tilt or w/e.

K, my matches against Espy and K Prime are up

Zano vs Espy 1
Zano vs Espy 2
Zano vs K Prime 1
Zano vs K Prime 2

Halp plz, I have no clue how to fight either of these characters : (
[COLLAPSE="Vs Espy"]Recover smarter (best example is at 0:41- Did you REALLY have to jump there? No? Then why would you. Recovering safely is your primary goal when offstage. Instead you DS’d onto the stage and got ledge trapped to hell and back). A different recovery problem is at 1:30. Again, why the jump? You put yourself just high enough for most aerials to hit you. Be careful with your jump. It’ll get you ***** (and does). I think you’ve lost 3 stocks from bad use of your second jump. Your last stock game 2 you were much more careful about your jump- good. Do that all the time.

You’re impatient on the ledge.

FF more

Pivot grab his approaches

Don’t whiff DB1 so blindly

Don’t dtilt at terrible ranges

You’re rushing in and it looks like you’re not thinking about your approaches much at all and just hoping to get lucky with them

Your first death, you were in DS landing lag; why would you ever NOT be holding up to DI?

Make sure you know when bair will hit compared to when it won’t and delayed FF on uair will (prime example would be 45 seconds into game 2 although it happens more than that).

Quit jabbing at super low %s. Jab covers your landings and is an A.A. Using jab in such an unspaced way (esp at super low %s) will get you punished a LOT. Grab.

I don’t know if it’s nerves or you’re stopping on purpose but you’ve stopped DB- on hit- twice so far. If it was on purpose, explain? If it’s nerves, go to training mode and make sure it doesn’t happen. You’re fighting a top level player- you can’t afford to make execution errors on such BnB parts of your game.

Game 2 at 36 seconds in you had a guaranteed stock. Recognize and react to jab lock situations with a jab into jab into jab…… into tipper fsmash. Not DB.

Also at 41 seconds into game 2, you rising SH fair from behind sonic to in front of him? You did that completely backwards. You want to be behind characters (that aren’t DK) and you HAVE to FF your aerials.

Work on your platform pressure

Uair covers most of the horizontal space of a platform on most stages. Utilt covers about half so turn around utilt covers the other half. Don’t use an attack if they’re on the ground and need to get up while on a platform- just react.

Seriously, enough with rising fairs into his shield. You get punished for it 8 times out of 10. FF fair is pretty much the single most important thing about playing Marth,

You can’t miss techs when you edge slip off of a platform. It could easily be your stock from a jab lock into charged smash.

Yes, you want the kill. I know. So does Espy. Quit fishing for it.

You’re ADs aren’t exactly the most safely done ones….

Sonic is fast- so is your dash. Unfortunately your dash is ONLY fast distance wise. It’s 17 (over a quarter of a second) frames that you can’t shield. You can NOT afford to be dashing vs. a character as quick as Sonic who can EASILY punish that on reaction consistently. Walk more. ESPECIALLY at kill %s.[/COLLAPSE]

Vs Kprime... I'd like to help- I really would- but I can't. I don't really know what you're doing wrong in the MU. You're so impatient that almost every time you got hit you literally ran or jumped into the hitbox. Play him again while calm and patient and then I can help. Until then anything I can tell you may or may not be accurate because your biggest problem is you're just rushing a LOT. You need to just slow it down vs Pika and take your time and play smart.

No, I didn't mean to stop the dancing blade, it was me messing up T_T

Yeah, I played pretty impatiently against them, had no idea what I was doing so I tried rushing things. I'll take your advince and I"ll also play more patiently, thanks!

LOL everyone is only thinking of top players, that's good but lets not ignore other decent marth's. Anyway it was just an idea. Altho what Nike said about the video thread sounds like a good idea.
