  • My favorite Floyd is with Syd Barrett, his solo career too. However, Meddle was pretty much the last Pink Floyd album I still liked. That video was interesting, thanks for the link. Isn't there an entire album of them playing at Pompeii? If so that is definitely worth picking up assuming it contained the track from the video.
Sorry to hear about that. :( Happy belated birthday, all the same.

    You doing okay?
"Hey I'm moving back to the US, if I do I might be somewhere between Cali and New York"
Give me your skype/msn/aim i use it all, I'll send the file by that program.
Meanwhile I'm sure you already installed ZC2.10 and tested if it worked etc?

Seeing your lover is the best present you can get ^^ especially if it's on christmas, just invite as many people as possible and ask like 10 dollars from each x)
Happy birthday to you too! Hehe.

I'll talk to you later, I'll add you on aim or summit if you'd give me your screen name
oh WOW you just got into it this past august? Shoot, you'd been missin' out then haha, yeah, you are definitely better off for hearing it... I used to fall asleep to it.. now that I think of it, it kinda reminds me of Dan Deacon's stuff... earthly... motile.
it definitely comes from the heart, and it totally adds to the overall mood of the anime... that particular track is my fav, but I like them all... it's one of the many ways the anime really comes to life, other than the art direction which is fairly unique in itself. good find! I haven't heard the Akria OST in years...
you mean the Akira OST? or did your link point the wrong way :p (though I do think the Akira soundtrack is awesome)
Crashic, mind linking me to the site you posted in the FADC live stream not too long ago? You know, the one about Smash Bros college courses; didn't get to see it when I was there.
I heard your birthday is december 7th

Mine is too, haha. Just posting because I'm somewhat bored :O
Awww, you're too young to be forgettin' your own birthday! Well, happy birthday in 2 days :D You'll be what, 19? My mom's birthday is dec 7th also... She was born in '43, 2 years to the date of Pearl Harbor. But yeah, you got any plans?? I had to call my mom to wish her happy b-day today cause monday I'll be out looking for work pretty much the whole day and she goes to bed early enough I'll most likely miss her.. well I hope you do something special for yerself, what about that love interest of yours, are you guys long distance or something? maybe share a birthday movie or some such thing... hm...
We need to start talking. You're one of the few active DHers I don't talk to.

You got aim or gchat, or some other social networking website apparatus?
LOL I love you bro (no homo) but you're talking to the absolute worst person. **** sucks tho I'm sorry to hear that but my advice is pretty terrible. Why not live with your girlfriend tho? ELOPE!
I'd hit it. (her not you)

btw I was under the impression your real name was Crashic. Oh well.
I've realized that I can only have Noel avatars, it's time for you to realize you can only have Anemone avatars
This is interesting, because you'd have to be quite specific to exit out of the DH while doing laundry.
I was going to say something avatar related, then I noticed DC posted here and said everything that covered what I wanted to say.
hay guiz im crashic and one day i have a good avatar and the next day i have a **** avatar
Wooooow, that's crazy hair! LOL it reminds me of that South park when Kyle finally takes his hat off and there's all this hair under it. You'd be a hair dressers dream come true and their nightmare all at the same time! That's an awesome photo tho... The black and white tone, and you look just a little sad... okie enough emo outta me ><
Hey, that's not a bad thing! So like, you have crazy hair too? haha

DUDE Philip Glass is the ****. I bet you already know, but if you've not checked out Emerson, Lake and Palmer, this is one of their best tracks http://www.progarchives.com/mp3.asp?id=365 .. a rendition of Aaron Copland's Hoedown ... Keith Emerson is one of my gods of electronic/synthesis performance.
Ooo that's neat too. Ha! ya know what? Completely by accident but when iTunes finished playing My Name Is it went RIGHT into I Can Fly, and it sounded... right. Like, literally... as if they were the same song! Maybe you could somehow splice the 2 together, the quick-step in the Name track would totally fit the need for it in the other... just a thought :D

Ha, yeah, this would be why Cubase is so good at this kinda thing, cause a lot of those memory issues are abated with the "pool" element that Cubase employs. Also Flange effects tend to really eat up system resources. One thing you could try, is to "bounce" the tracks to one track, then start the project over by importing that one .wav that's made, that way the effects buses aren't in use, and there aren't tons of crops being played back, just 1 .wav file. Dunno if that's what you do already, or whatever, but bouncing is pretty much a staple in sample recording, but as my teacher once said: don't bounce until you're absolutely sure, cause it typically can't be undone, unless you're keeping backups of your pre-bounced material, which I rarely do, lol
That's twice now I've posted a reply to you on my page >< I'll figure this VM thing out eventually lol

Sooo yeah! I like :D Your sampling skills are off the hook, yo. How did you get any of that from Latin Simone??? Nice work... it's definitely got the build up goin' it makes me feel ready for a VS's take, like it's all calm at first, but still hard hitting, just not schizo, but then when the hook really comes in is where it could use some of that craziness. The vocal sounds like a samurai movie or something, like she's saying "i... i have... I have tooo. kiya!!!!!" kinda thing, lol it works well.
Cool! Can't wait to hear it.
heh, that's actually the first VS song I've heard that DIDN'T make my brain explode in confusion, lol! Very nice track... I think I could go in that direction, but I'll need to ramp up the attitude a bit, kick up the gain, add in more snare work, just all around bring it up a notch, my track so far is too chill in comparison, and that's where I feel it lacking, I want to DRIVE, to really get dirty, but at the same time to not lose that... enigmatic quality, the horror-show feel it's building on right now w/the piano riff.

Yeah this is by far the most modern sounding work I've done, I started experimenting w/a simple d+b norm, and let it just ride from there, but it still needs... ... heh I dunno! it needs more ... stuff. And a good voice sample or two also... something to really cut into the music and bring it a sense of direction.
