just got it. first off NICE GROOVE! love it. the pft pft pft gotta go tho, however you can, I know it's gonna be tough because i think its part of the higher pitched sample, and its recursive to fit the groove but for some reason its got a cut-off blip in there on the fast repeat

B B A aaaa etc
That A sample is right from the get go, but for some reason the aaaa part has a pftpftpft goin' on during it...
Where go from here? Hmmmmmm, heh that's SO dependent on your style. -I- would introduce some kick *** rappin cause this groove almost screams for good rap. But if you're looking for melody, I'd go for something that's earthy... gritty, and tuned up in the upper bandwidth to offset your established pattern, introduce some deeper syncopations to really make that BOOM BOOM groove hit home. Like... a nice lilting hi-hat type deal, but not hi hats, better would be sts's like uh, F what are they called... no tambourine, not hi hats, the things you shake... uh mirakas? (sp) yah. so much for being a music major
happy tracking!
looool just noticed I went ot in the middle of a sentence, introduce the hats as I said BUT for melody, stretch a decent earth sound across the grove, and then ramp it in time, syncopated to the kick beat.
