For as much people talk about "Disney's first gay character", "Disney's first original animated film" is way more confusing. They'll tell you Lion King was the first, but half of the Disney films prior were based on unreleased and lost material (Aristocats is a bizarre example of this, since said unreleased material was a film script, just a live action TV movie one) and a good chunk went beyond "unfaithful adaptation" into "we just took a character name and nothing else, we wasted licensing money"
Anyway, the first original Disney (company) animated film is Plane Crazy - short cartoons were made as films and not episodes, and Gallopin' Goucho and Steamboat Willie were parodies.

i do like sc though, but no denying it did fail its long-term goal in the uhh... long term, and frontiers probably will too once the colours kids grow up. i don't think redesigning movie sonic was a bad choice (for quality) and a rare thing fans were right on, but i just wanted to do the "taking things literally" joke.

This song is really funny, because in the hyper-detached context Smash gives it you'd think it's some kind of mystery/police game a la Mappy, but the actual game is a sci-fi athletics game.

It's weird how every MVS review will call out the game's capitalistic greed (rightfully) than immediately criticise it for putting in unconventional choices like Banana Guard and Reindog because that's "not what fans want". watching the little joel dcoms video, and why are these films so obsessed with creating artificial life. he brings up the whole "racism towards demons" thing as repetitive, but i don't get why literally every 5th movie is about some kind of ai or clone or wish baby or something. is it just the easiest wish fulfilment plot to get a conflict out of?
got "oops, finding another driver!"ed and the only explanation i could find online was that it was a result of not tipping... even though i tipped and live in the uk where that isn't really a cultural idea let alone an expectation.

If there's another Smash platformer story mode, they should design it like Break the Targets - every character has their own stage that challenges their abilities specifically.
I like how the whole "shared universe backstory" thing with Wish implies that these two have some insane grudge.
