Hell, Pacific rim is just straight up one of my favorite movies.
You kinda can't recapture the feeling of the original CDI games and since they are known for being "so bad/out of the ordinary it's actually good" so you might be stuck in a position where you try to make an "intentionally so bad it's good" game. which rarely works out
But, the animation in that Arzette game is shockingly accurate and it seems like they are trying to make a legitimately great game in that style, which is a way better way of handling it.

Multiversus I think can make a big comeback. Especially if they add characters that are not only interesting but can make big headlines and iron out peoples problems with the gameplay and especially the monetization.
