I'm hoping SMSB's second round of guest fighters will be more absurd and personal bias-driven - either way, it's the first ally contact promotion after HK.

I love that NASB lets you watch outdated replays - so everyone is walking off cliffs and attacking nothing.
It's kinda sad how CN was created as a "safe haven" for legacy cartoons, and now have one of the worst track records for making shows inaccesible of any TV channel - children's or otherwise. This isn't even a new thing with the HBO Max cuts, CN have failed to preserve their content as long as they've been making original content. Tons of missing specials (Ego Trip, Big Picture Show, e.t.c.), entire shows you can only get as 6-episodes-on-one-disc at best (Sheep, Robot Jones), universally revered classics only avaliable in full digitally (Chowder, Billy & Mandy), tax write offs, so on.
It's a case of "pick your poison" I guess - CN champions new ideas but always throws everything old out for a blank slate, while Nickelodeon fails to understand originality but can be pretty damn good at respecting and preserving their legacy. Disney TVA is probably the closest to a happy medium between originality and nostalgia in the industry, but even they tend to prioritise merchandising the Afternoon era stuff.

A small part of me would prefer a devoted Shrek fighter over a Dreamworks crossover. Two reasons: 1. I think we need more non-crossover non-original fighters (especially of the platform variety), and 2. you could easily make up new characters based on folklore as well as the standard Shrek cast.

Pop (a kids' TV channel I grew up on that primarily aired bad 80s and 90s DiC cartoons at the time) now airs actual relevant and decent-quality cartoons produced within the past half a decade, this is objectively a good thing but it still makes me a little sad.

"What is the best Looney Tunes movie?" is a fascinating question because there's only 3 films people are likely to respond with - only one is a Looney Tunes movie (Back in Action) while the other two are a live action movie with next to no animation (Gremlins 2) and a movie made by Disney. I had a dream where Wii Fit got a new stage and it was supposed to be competitive legal but it was extremely small (like half the size of WWI) and had fast, random platform movement.
I think Nintendo's moral flaws as a business are super bad, and there are some areas where they're worse than the typical Acti/EA/Ubi rogues gallery (especially in regards to preservation and pricing, as well as the marketing of Smash specifically) but I also think that most of their flaws under Bowser - while not exactly overblown by any means - wouldn't have had the general public backlash they had if either Iwata and Reggie weren't so good at PR prior, or Bowser was as good as Iwata and Reggie at PR.

- Luigi became Gonzo
- DK became Mojo Jojo
- Kirby became Trollface, and his Falco hat became O RLY
- Link became DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba
- Pikachu became Remy from Ratatouille
- Captain Falcon became a muscular Big the Cat
- Roy becoming Colonel Sanders, using a deep fried sword.
- The Ice Climbers became the "Insurance Duo", consisting of Cara Confused and Aleksandr Orlov
- Flat Zone becoming a Gizmondo (the Swedish mafia game console)
- Mushroom Kingdom 1 becoming Springfield
- Yoshi's Story becoming Monsters Inc. themed, for the "Randall" joke obviously
- Food items including Silica Gel, the Annoying Orange, poop and the Jagged Metal Krusty-O
- Changing the coins in coin mode to Chuck E. Cheese tokens and the Wallace & Gromit commemorative coin that released at the time

I've been sent to a new house to learn "independent living" before moving out on my own, but for some reason I have less independence? Like, at my old home I could go to the shop on my own and cook at night, but here I have to be supervised while going shopping and am only allowed to cook at day
Cuphead is the absolute perfect side-over-protag series for Smash but y'all aren't ready to hear it. It's a game where the main draw is the bosses and their animation, plus its protagonists would be zoners if added.
Phelous/Bootleg Zones is hillarious in brief doses, but after more than 10 or so minutes (5 for certain videos) he gets really grating - probably by intent, but still.
I always thought bad music was a myth - anything that isn't a piano being smashed is listenable. Both infamously annoying songs and songs made as bad as possible as a joke I can at least vibe to a little.

we all know the reason daffy duck isn't in multiversus is because of the mature mode - putting daffy in an adult context would force us to face an image we were never meant to see.
imagine if playstation all stars 2 had the dog from dogs life in it so whenever characters in the platform fighter genre as a whole are discussed and compared as opposed to a single game you have to specify either "jake the dog from multiversus" or "jake the dog from psasbr2"
