  • Were my eyes funny or did I see Rabbid Peach in Spirits mode?

that aside, the amount of conspiracy put into the Grinch leak must've been amazing. mad props to the "leaker"
as glad as I am to have Banjo and the Chorus Kids (I'm not even a fan of either franchise, I'm just looking forward to their movesets!), I'm still a little ticked off about Mach Rider. there's so many awesome characters in Nintendo's forgotten past, yet they choose Mach Rider? why not Muddy Mole? Excitebiker? maybe even Mr. Stevenson? the only way I'd see Mach Rider as a unique character is if he was to be on his bike at all times, which even then, Excitebiker would do way better with oil slicks and ramps.

i disagree, Nintedo, in my opinion, is just fine. I'm absolutley satisified without any of the newcomers, I like there inclusions, of course, but Sakurai didn't have to, and I think he's working too hard to add them.
I've started to warm up to the idea of Mach Rider, even if I'm a little salty about him getting in over Excitebiker

if Mach Rider is depicted as male in Smash Ultimate, I'll headcanon him as being a trans boy (in Mach Rider's arcade port, there was a screen where a woman would appear in Mach Rider's place as you beat levels, it's never stated whether this character is one and the same as Mach Rider, but I've always interpreted them as the same)
I really hope the Snapchat leak is fake. BK and Chorus Kids are cool and all, but Shadow? he hasn't appeared in a good game since... ever! also, Mach Rider is quite possibly the most boring NES rep imaginable. Excitebiker would be way more interesting.
I would rather have Primarina than Decidueye or Inceneroar honestly. a mermaid character would be really fun, even if not as fun as a snake character.
There are two obscure games I grew up on with "Life" in the title and "D" as the first letter that ended up having really dark endings (albeit in a sequel in one of them's case), Drawn to Life and Dog's Life. this fact will be completely useless to everybody, including myself, but just thought it was interesting.
I had a really weird Smash Bros. dream. basically, I met up again with a friend I fell out with a long time ago, and we talked about Smash Ultimate's newcomers. when we went on the website, it was updated with a few new characters, these are the 3, technically 2 I remember:

Duck Hunt Dog: not actually Duck Hunt, but rather a walking mattress called Duck Hunt Dog.
Goomba: a Mario echo with a dimmed down colour scheme like the Goomba costume in SMM
another Goomba: this one had the actual colour scheme of a Goomba and a unique moveset.

I had a bizarre dream about Smash Bros for a very fake "direct" by a speaker who is convincingly dressed like Sakurai. That speaker showed us the real life tour of a salt processing factory and how it is equivalent to speculation by fakers. In the end, we received another winged character with a long samurai sword. I knew I had to change my dream channels quickly to not associate with the hype.
If Waluigi gets in a future Smash game, his trailer needs to be a legendary fake out. not one that implies Waluigi won't be in the game, but more one that all but confirms another popular character is getting in, then have that character take off a mask, revealing Waluigi.
my favourite Smash Bros. characters are the ones who don't have many, if any, weapons or powers in their games of origin (Duck Hunt, Peach, Olimar, Pac-Man) because of the amount of creativity just radiating off their movesets. that's one of the main reasons I want Waluigi over Geno.
I'm sick of seeing Bowsette everywhere! especially because of the name, if we're following the Peachette naming scheme, she should clearly be called Peachser. Bowsette should refer to a mixture of Bowser and Toadette, which is something I kinda wanna try drawing now.
after seeing "Bowsette" mentioned on the under post, I looked her up, assuming she was a leaked final boss or something.

    I deeply regret it.

Where did the whole Bowsette thing come from? I dont think i want to look it up.
Sakurai: *clearly states or shows something that doesn't live up to expectations*

Fandom: "well, you know, Sakurai is full of surprises! right guys!... right?"

Yeah, you should show us how it's done instead, since you're such an expert on such matters.
three of my four most wanted (at the time) characters got into SSB3DS/Wii U: Pac-Man, Mii and Duck Hunt Dog. now we just need Muddy Mole and 12 year old me would be very happy.
People with popular requests as their most wanted characters should really stop complaining about their character not getting in Smash. just be glad there is the support in the first place! especially Isaac fans. constantly complaining about how "nobody" knows what Golden Sun is despite it selling over 1 million copies, having 2 sequels and starring a protagonist who is constantly requested for Smash.
getting excited over a character who hasn't been confirmed is basically setting yourself up for disappointment. remember how everybody thought Ridley was going to be playable in Melee?

trust me, it's better to be a realist, because it makes the good reveals all the more exciting, and the bad ones all the less disappointing.
I'm A-OK with piracy if a game is only for a rare console (VB Wario Land), has been made unavailable (Scott Pilgrim), costs big bucks (pre-Wii U EarthBound) or has a legit copy owned by the pirate.
the more I think about the idea of Onix in Smash, the more I want it. I know Gen 1 Pokemon are kinda overdone, in fact, the same applies for Pokemon in general, but Onix would be unlike anything ever seen in Smash before! I can't really think of any other Smash-viable snake-shaped characters except Serperior, which has hands so that takes away from the uniqueness a little.

Funny. Few minutes ago I created a concept in which Onix was part of a Pokémon Trainer-esque Team Rocket trio character. Great minds think alike?
the most popular Pokemon requests in Smash are normally really boring. there's 807 different Pokemon and you choose Decidueye?

Well I didn't choose Decidueye, but maybe it could have a decent moveset based on its design and moves from the games

I just want something small and cute for a pokemon that isn't PIkachu, Pichu or Jigglypuff. someone new. Litten instead of incineroar.
even as a die-hard unironic Waluigi fan, I find it quite hard to piece together a Waluigi moveset for Smash. as much as I hate to say it, I can see why Sakurai has been skipping out on including Waluigi. that being said, my moveset is getting there.

While putting together a moveset could be difficult he could represent the Mario spinoffs. Such as hitting people with his tennis racket and rolling dice blocks to increase his stats.

my moveset has been based mostly on the weird stuff from the Mario series as a whole, both spin-off and main series. for example, his Neutral B is based on the vomit-spewing Piranha Plants from Odyssey. in this move, he gets out a Piranha Plant who will eat any projectile in it's way (except ones that are part of a character, like say, K. Rool's crown or Rayman's hand), and spit it out as vomit, which can trip over Waluigi's foes, and befitting to Waluigi's clumsy nature, himself!

Wow! That sounds really cool! And you could have him do dance moves for his tilts from DDR Mario Mix!
I feel the reason why the Monster Hunter stage isn't listed on the official Smash Ultimate website is possibly one of the following reasons:

the stage isn't finished yet and is going to be redesigned into more than just "flat walkoffs with dragon"

it isn't a proper stage, just part of an event match, like the trophy stages in Melee (my best bet personally)

a new boss battles mode (not a story mode, they would've revealed that at E3 if it were in, the game would probably have less content because of it and the dragon would be in a generic location as opposed to a Monster Hunter location. SSE used all generic locations except Skyworld, Halberd and Ruined Zoo, but Halberd was the only one with a direct connection)

    it's the sole unlockable stage

Well, if it was the only unlockable stage, they would've held off on it. Sakurai loves his secrets.

My head cannon is that the mountain with lucario on it in SSE is mount silver
