  • Well I'm sure we'll eventually get to play each other.. Are you going to the MWC Champs (Smashed in Smashfield)?
Reading DI was referring to the tilt. I feel that you typically just try a combo that seems to work, thus I seem to get it out of hit early and mess you up. Sometimes I land behind you when I DI that way and you keep ftilting forward, other times I DI down and shield while you Nair when that should have been for up DI. But that is also why I mentioned you might not be reading it right because of wifi lag or whatever.

And I doubt both of us are at pro level or even borderline. Neither of us have gone to any offline tourneys (at least what you told me a few months ago) and neither of us have really played many top notch people. So because of that the amount of experience we can gain from just online is not enough to reach borderline pro. I think we are on the way to becoming it. I think we have almost reached the max we can learn from online game play. The next phase would be doing tourneys and after that if we do well then we will have reached that title of borderline professional where we play with the pros.
As I said, he played at such a lower level that it really didn't matter what you did, so I couldn't really see any problems.
In my opinion the Toon Link was so low level that I couldn't really tell much. He wasn't exactly trying to punish anything, and he almost never left the ground.

You pretty much ***** someone who's clearly worse than you.
It's the same as the grounded chain, but shorthopped :).

Also my monitor just died, so I won't be able to fill any requests for a bit :urg:.
I guess cause he's like EVERYWHERE on smashboards >.>

He lives in the same city as I do so I added him :d
    Oh lol.

Tethers for characters in general work like this:
    - Input is given
    - Character sits there for 2 frames
    - They reel themselves in. This takes 1-4 frames, depending on the character and how far they are from the ledge.

To answer your question, yes it is possible to use sheik's chain to keep them from reaching the ledge. I was able to do it against zss actually. I'm not sure how reliable this would be in a match though, since they're only vulnerable for 1-2 frames.
    Sure thing

Sheik grabs the ledge/obtains invincibility on frame 4. Oddly enough it's the same regardless of how far away from the ledge she is.

Oh, and her tether grabs the ledge on frame 9.
    I knew I forgot something!

    non-tipper: 3 frames
    tipper: 28 frames

I combined "hitstun" and "hitlag" in these figures, as since sheik doesn't go through any hitstun there's no reason to separate them.
    Sheik's chain:
first hitbox (non-tipper) out on frame: 22
    earliest tipper hit: frame 25
cooldown (time it takes to pull it back): 33 frames

Is there anything else you need to know about this move? I'm not very familiar with it so I may have missed something :X.
It's cool. I know it's been about a month and some change. It'll be updated within the next week.
Here a new question! lol i know i must be getting anoying but i am having a hard time dealing with rng spam on sheik. This is from samese and toon link mainly and spostlyve sheik conters toon link i do not know if its the lag but i cant seem to deal with a toon linke who in the air just about 100% of the time.
you seem to know diddly too hehe something else i cant seem to do is glided touse as in i ether roll dodogs or just though not both. Any tricks with the timeing here?
I'll be back in the scene soon. And Help w/ the Sheik metagame, had to deal with personal interests atm kek.
TBH they have better options 80% of the time.

Although if they don't want to progress, so let them.
I think she looks rather female and this is one of my top 5 fav avatars I've had on here so far so I'm not going to change it.
