Funny enough... I agree that people wanting homosexual (religious) marriage is a little silly. It's hard to word it properly, silly doesn't quite cut it.
I just don't see the reasoning behind wanting to force a concept onto a religion that doesn't accept or support this concept.
I'm full for legalizing the rights and equalling the laws for homosexuality. But the religious homosexual marriage I, as a homosexual, oppose myself, as well.
I have studied the Bible, as well, if not more than other religious texts I've read so far (Tora, Quran, Eastern Asian texts...). I don't want to argue against your beliefs, as I am more an atheist (maybe with some Confucianistic and Taoistic views, but those are more philosophies, heh) and therefore logically and rationally read these texts. I tolerate your opinion on the text, but I honestly don't see how you think it's 100% true... like the thing about Garden Eden and whatnot. A lot of the texts' meanings has been lost due to translation errors and the churches manipulating them to gain more power. A whole evangelist has been cut out of the Bible (there originally were 5), and who knows, maybe some parts of the text have been added just to grant the Church more power. I see most of the stories in the Bible as equations, and some mythologic tales explaining how the world worked for the people back this long time ago.
