  • Different ZSS players have different preferences against different opponents. ZSS wil. probably try to use one piece, intelligently afraid of what will happen if Marth gets ahold of such a good projectile, especially with his broken glide toss.

The armor piece augment ZSS very well, but they do essentially the same for Marth.

That being said, walk toward your opponent and watch what your opponent does. Dtilt first, not fair. Dtilt is much less likely to get ***** by a retreated glidetoss forward (even though Fair MIGHT catch the piece). Watch your spacing, because throwing a piece down will cause it to bounce, and therefore it can still hit you.

Walk, shield, poke. If there is more than one piece on the board, poke until you get one, and play from there. Always throw first, not second, and don't always be predictable.
I wasn't sure if it would have been a good idea to bump a thread in the marth forum, so I'll just ask you here: how would you recomend handling ZSS' items at the start of the match? When I played Sparrow in a recent tourney I had a hard time dealing with them, since he used them mostly as a brick wall/camping. The best thing I could come up with was try to get them off the stage, which I was able to after taking 38 damage.

I'm assuming you've played against Snakeee, so I'll look into any advice you have to ofer.
Yeah I know hmm marth got higher on the tier list I think diddy is better though he has more combo options he's my secondary but he's hard to learn how to use for people so I guess that's why...Anyway I still need to practice hopefully with steel on wifi for some more experince
As I said already I believe and also while talking to Steel, that horrible way I played was from god aweful conditioning.

SH Wavebounced laser practically destroys me; resulting in me avoiding it at all costs via excessive jumping. Pressure when if they're in the air they can reach me faster and better than I can, on the ground a shielded fair will easily lead to an fsmash...

I personally feel I've lost it, and I want to take a break from smash after all of this. I thank you for taking the time to look at my videos, but I don't think I'm the Marth I used to be.
That's cool i'm practicing my marth still I want to make sure I'm completly perfect and my mindgames get better
Yo, I just read your "to ban or not to ban MK" essay...

That was a good read, and I really enjoyed it... but i don't understand how you managed to remain so neutral with all the points YOU presented...

    w/e
Ok I can't PM from my phone, so I'll ask here. What are the current requirements for the Back Room? I've been playing the game since release, and feel I am fairly knowledgeable. Yes I still have much room to improve, and im starting to go out for tourneys.
My most recent vids are against a newbish opponent, and I feel rusty. I should be able to get some better vids for the new year, tis all. If you can't wait, I dont mind just simple/brief critiques (www.youtube.com/user/HiyaShaya/)
Wait for the new year then. I hope you have a nice one :)

Also I added you on msn a while ago.
    Pierce! Do you use MSN?

Anychance you're up for critiquing my Marth in your awesome fashion sometime?
oh okay...then...i have a feeling im talking to the wrong person but yeah okay then...

Didnt you go to the weekly in the BX
Its just that he thinks that he should never lose and when he does he gets ready to quit the game, he has an inferiority complex so even criticism can put him down easily.
I understand. Anymore tourneys i can go to, I will not hesitate to go there.
uh...ElemMasterZeph told you to say that, didnt he? I will try to go to more tournies. Its just that Sonic has such a high learning curve, and you knew all of his mindgames. I couldnt get around your "wall" as Marth, but I will try to learn how to. I am not giving up, I just felt a little down that i was predictable. Everyone said that I did well considering it was my first tourney, and I was Sonic. Well, back to training.
Maybe you should of reworded your criticism to SonicMaster5 because he's thinking that he should give up. Can you convince him that he can get better please?
I was very into the moment. I knew i was being predictable. I was spindash happy that day. I learned from my mistakes though. I can mix it up very well, i was just not accustomed to playing such a good Marth. It WAS my first tourney ever, so I expected to get tore up. But, if you saw any of my other matches, I was really comfortable and able to use all of my moves. I didnt know you had ALOT of Sonic practice. I need alot more work.:(
My Sonic is gonna get better, but you already had experience with Malcolm. I talked to him about it. It seems I have alot of training to do. What can you say about me? Am I good?
Yo Pierce. What happened when everyone was yelling when you played Ryko in crews? I was playing Magus at the time.

Also. Jan 17th, if there your there I want a RPS rematch for my dollar.
