    Shine Property Question

Ah ok sorry about that; I get it now.

    20YY: The Falco Movement

Alright I'll get back to y'all with a spreadsheet or something. Eventually. Probably. Don't hold your breath.

    20YY: The Falco Movement

Do y'all have a spreadsheet or something of useful %s to know, like when strong bair sends a character off each stage from the center with survival DI or when dair from an arbitrary height allows someone to tech or not.

    Falco's grab game lacking?

Grabs are still really good because they guarenteed give Falco center control, which is really helpful for Falco because it allows more room for dash back options. Edit: Didn't realize I posted exactly this recently. :/

    Shine Property Question

If it was because of stale moves, wouldn't every subsequent shine also have that normal fall property? I feel like PP talked about it briefly somewhere but it'd be good if we got to the bottom of this.

Is the top platfrom tbh4 strat actually good?

It's important to not pick stages like Yoshi's where peach can full jump uair through the top platform. Westballz's strat broke down when he went to such a short stage.

    Dealing with fox fullhop

You could proactively stifle his jump by shooting high SH lasers. Auto cancel bairs lead into stronger pressure and better positioning. Dash back reverse high lasers are also awesome.

    Throw follow ups?

I like throwing away from center or up onto platforms; if you can put them in a weaker position you can often set up for a stronger launcher.

    The way of the Falco

It depends on the matchup a lot and there are a lot of different ways to play the character effectively. In most matchups, the main idea is to control your opponent with his lasers or shine or whatever and hunt for a launcher into a slick punish. These punishes often aren't 70% combo video...

    Falco's grab game lacking?

I use grabs to show my opponent that I'm willing to do them and that shielding isn't safe. If they shield less, dairs and stuff are more likely to hit and better punishes abound. As for which throw to use, I like throwing people away from the center of the stage or up onto a platform. We can...

    Underrated techs

Wavelands are an amazing tool in neutral. Delaying when you shoot lasers is also really useful. Overrated techs are even more common though; stuff like multishines aren't as useful as they are flashy.

How to stop using tap jump.

I still used tap jumping for some stuff like jump cancels and upb stall. Yeah in general it's slowing and makes tech harder. I feel like if you just drill harder and harder tech with x or y on your own you'll be forced to use the buttons and you'll make the switch easier than just trying to...

On Agression in the Fox MU

None taken; I'm pretty trash. The annoying thing is that I only ever really play against him and one other guy, so it's super tempting to work on stuff that works against him rather than stuff that'll help me in general. I'll work on baiting and waiting in the MU in general and on my punish...

On Agression in the Fox MU

I was watching Mang0 talking about the Fox/Falco matchup and he said that it's important for Falco to force Fox to come to him. I tried that for a while. Last night a friend of mine was trying to record some combos to show friends and told me to play aggressively. I did so and actually had more...

    How to soft hit?

For everything except Doc's nair I think, moves are weaker the longer they are out. For example, Falco's nair hits the hardest on the first frame the hitbox is active and hits the weakest just before the hitbox disappears. This is also the case for moves with temporary hitboxes that disappear...
