Why is there no pistol in Quake? I get that the enemies are tanky, but why have no pistol?

Just found a way to soft lock FFVII. In the Corel Prison when you meet up with the group, talk to Yuffie and switch out Cait Sith for another party member when prompted. Cait Sith should get stuck and the game will soft lock.

FFVI Advance -> Number 6 with extra dip. (Also applies to Number 4 and Number 5)

Finally managed to properly install Super Mario Star Road. It's fun.
And, I have officially beaten FFII the worst mainline Final Fantasy game. It was hard, grindy, and a slog. The final boss was very easy, but the final dungeon sucked, it was full of enemies who can 1-shot your party members.
Playing FFII doesn't make me wanna play it more, it just makes me wanna play FFV instead.
Settle an argument for me: Is 800+ damage in one attack in FF a lot of damage?
In FFII, ribbons are almost worthless, they don't block harmful status effects, unlike in later games and in FFI.

I'm really surprised that even though one of the main antagonists in Chrono Trigger is called Magus, nobody got the Final Fantasy III reference. Magus is a mage specializing in offensive magic, much like his namesake job class. Of course FFIII wouldn't be released in the west until 2006, alongside also on DS... Chrono Trigger.

I believe FFV is better than FFIV, because FFV’s difficulty is consistent across all its versions. Sure, it might be only middling in terms of popularity, but it has its charm, preferably in the job system. FFIV is also very, very difficult in the DS version. Also, FFIV didn’t introduce any new recurring characters unlike FFV and FFVI.
Another advantage Canada has over America: We still have Toys R Us.
Which should I finish first? FFV, FFVI, or FFIX? -
