Should be Lucario, Wario has lots of recovery options. A lot of the hint could work for DK as well but the wording makes me suspect it's not him, and the "underdog" bit and "dedicated mains" (AKA Azen) especially fit Lucario.

He beat Azen as well, when he was MK. In fact, NL didn't lose a single match to an MK. When he switched to Lucario, Azen was able to beat him. So it seems to me that it wasn't just that they didn't know the matchup, unless it's easier for Lucario than MK.

The tournament results in every region for pretty much the entire time Ankoku has been maintaining the list has DK at around 10th (also the HY2L tier list and average tier lists have him around there). I'd love to see the justification for placing him at 21st.

The main reason I don't think it's DK is not just the "no potential" comment, it's the "only a few are taking him to an advanced level" part. That would fit very well for Yoshi (and probably Bowser), maybe Ike as well, but in nearly every region DK is at about the same spot in Ankoku's...

Bum won the most recent NYC weekly with CF against Dire's GnW. He only used CF in the finals though, he used Samus and DK for the other matches.
