    Sonic's OoS Options

You can read? Wow, I'm surprised! Oh, wait. You said you DIDN'T read the topic. No surprises there... just stupid, useless comments from ya. On topic, IDA isn't that good, because he just gets grabbed out of it, or shielded. Its a great move, worked lots of times for me but its just so...

The Best Sonic In The Area

Oh, I'm an aussie! I think I mentioned it before... I live in NSW, btw.

The Best Sonic In The Area

Olimar is annoying to fight, but I reckon because his recoveries a tether, I take advantage of that as best I can. I can't say it works much of the time, and I can't point out any strategies I use against him... except rarely spin him, unless its a surprise tactic, cause his pikmen ruin it. But...

The Best Sonic In The Area

I'm the best Brawl player where I am; No problem. Even the best comp (my best friend) has been becoming much easier then ever. Tournaments are non existent where I am, and the smash community is very small, so we keep each other sharp. He's probably reading my posts too... sorry buddy. He uses...

The Sonic 'Self improvement' thread, plus your questions answered! FAQ

Yeah, that works. No advice about what to do with small characters? Shame. Hmm... I'll have to try a new mindgame technique... dash from all the way across the stage (faking out something predictible, like dash attack) , super roll > grab? I am obsessed with up grab...

The Sonic 'Self improvement' thread, plus your questions answered! FAQ

Predictability isn't it, not exactly anyway... Its just the small amount of time that the attack hits the shield, if they shield it, a character with an abnormally fast grab can get me out of it. \ I guess thats why air SH > nair or fair approaches are better... but they don't work on small...

Which stage is the most fair?:

The only stage that would be fair is if... * There is no stage interference * The stage gives no advantages/disadvantages to characters of all kinds * The stage allows all characters to recover equally This excludes FD, because it gives advantages to projectile characters, and speed...

The Sonic 'Self improvement' thread, plus your questions answered! FAQ

Yeah, i put this in another thread, but since i'm to cheap to read this ENTIRE thread, i'll ask it here Does anyone else get grabbed, really easily out of an SDR, or dash attack?

    Powershielding problems

I find a slight problem with using dash attacks and side-b, down b, because i tend to get grabbed out of them. It is, essentially, really easy to grab Sonic out of a SDR, or dash attack. Anyone have a solution to that?

    Disgruntled Sonic user

Patience is a key in a match against pikachu. Its almost always better to let him make the first move. You can usually see pikachus moves coming, and you can adapt to his strategies, because it sounds like this guy liked to spam his d-smash and thunder. It is possible to get around these, but...

    Powershielding problems

I don't spotdodge very often true, i don't find it very reliable, but the attacks that come are mainly grabs, so it comes down to predicting whether the opponent will attempt a grab, or an attack. The problem is if I spotdodge a grab, Sonic's spotdodge + grab is too slow to grab/attack them...

    Powershielding problems

Hey guys, I need a hand here. I don't know about you, but to me Sonic is far to easy to powershield, and is very difficult to do it back. Same thing goes with spotdodges. Even if i pull of a great spotdodge, I can rarely counter attack, unless the opponent is really slow. Sonic's...

A SoNiC GuIdE -5/07/09 - Some interesting frame data

This is amazing. Dedication to the highest level huh? BTW to the new guy... Tucker is it? Welcome, and you sound like me lol. Except for the punctuation... work on that. Remember what the teachers say! "Paragraphs make reading a pleasure." And so do full stops. Back on topic though...

    Smash cancelling? A new AT?

Ah well. Your still the closest anyone's ever come to finding a smash canceling technique for Sonic. Good work on that.

    why do YOU play Sonic?

Thats an extremely specific number you have there memphis. Haven't you have anything better to do with your time then to count useless threads... seeing as you've been responsible for a whopping 291034891 (yeah, the specifics) of useless threads posted on the board. Yeah people, I'm back...
