Update #2: I sent my mom the buck bumble theme song and she said it was a “masterpiece”
I’ve watched a moderate amount of the simpsons before but no bits from the show that I saw stood out to me as particularly memorable or funny the way other cartoons I saw as a kid were. Now I keep on getting clips from the show reccomended to me on youtube and they’re absolutely great bits I would remember that I don’t even think I’ve seen anybody actually talk about. maybe I just wasn’t paying attention enough.
Shadow of the colossus music plays in my head every time I need to do a task that requires a moderate amount of physical effort
Update: I sent my mom the Pictionary NES title theme and she said she “definitely remembers” it and that it’s a “banger”
Two things can be true about the game awards at the same time:
1. Their nominees really don’t matter, the show has no authority, and people pay way too much attention to them
2. The game awards are reaching Super Bowl numbers of viewership and they do matter to a lot of people in the industry so it’s not like someone’s wrong for wanting to pay attention to them

I am a staunch defender of the phrase “nothing burger.” People say the burger part adds nothing but the metaphor of biting into a burger with nothing on it is a very memorable one, and has a very distinct dissapointed feeling

Is there actually any evidence for the claims GTA 6 was 2 billion dollars to make? Not only would that number be completely ridiculous for a video game or a movie, that would be outrageous if you’re building a theme park or something.
It’s really funny to me there’s a massive controversy because some YouTuber filmed himself driving and just casually sped three times faster than the limit and kept it in the video. We found youtube drama just as funny as lunchly somehow.

I read Wanted, the collection of short stories the creator of one piece wrote before making one piece. What’s really interesting to me is that most of the stories were made with the intention of having a big two page spread and a story building to it, which is a cool way of envisioning writing stories, having a big moment envisioned first and imagining a story building to it. Gives a lot of context to one piece as a story and how it was written too.
I feel like for a lot of people in the west if they hear Spanish (the language) their first thought will be Latin America but there’s still some understanding that it’s tied to country of Spain. But if someone talks about Portuguese NOBODY thinks of Portugal at all and not just Brazil. Duolingo even has the flag of Spain to represent Spanish and the flag of Brazil to represent Portuguese. They colonized way too hard fr.

I watched a walking tour of the nintendo land at universal japan yesterday and I really don’t know what people were expecting for the DK area. The Mario area is basically just one square and pretty much everything takes inspiration from either 3D World or Mario Kart 8. That’s not to say it’s bad, it’s just that if the Mario area doesn’t even reference the retro Mario games heavily why would you believe the DK area would?
If a used game store doesn't have a buy one get one free deal on their used PS2 or PS3 games they're ripping you off

As an ex-Harry Potter fan I can say the world building of Harry Potter sucks but one element that I still think is genuinely great is the fairly tale of the deathly hallows. Especially with the cinematic it gets in the movie, the way it’s told and ties in with the main story is super cool. There’s a reason people get deathly hallows tattoos and **** when it only appears in the final book

I made a giant fighting game for a bunch of characters or real life people sega at one point had the license to, or published a game with them in it. After completing it I looked at the time, 2:18 AM, then looked back at my roster with Kenshiro right above Mark Wahlberg and just sighed.

I do not normally care about made-up words becoming actual words but one thing I can't stand is unnecessarily adding "ness" do the end of adjectives to make them a noun when the word they're derived from is a noun anyways. You have no reason to say "maliciousness" or "gracefullness" instead of malice or grace
